I like how he just leaves the dude in the grocery store and walks off without even taking him away. Like "Clean up in aisle 6", let the store owners do their job 😂
The robber received the equivalent of a hidraulic press hit to his throat.... He's either dead, handicapped, or robocop just called in some other police officers to pick him up.
Basil Poledouris was brilliant. This, the original Conan, and the themes for Hunt for the Red October (which often gets reused as a trailer song when a movie’s own score isn’t done) are his best. Cancer took him too young.

It was never a B movie. It was only treated as a B movie by studio executives that didn't understand it before it's release. The film was a smash hit, making $53.4 million off of a $13 million budget. The film had a well-written script that elevated it above standard B movies.
My favorite Paul Verhoeven movie and 2nd favorite Basil Poledouris film score. The complete score released by Intrada Records(now "sold out") is incredible.
NYC, SF, LA, Baltimore, Memphis, Philadelphia, Newark, Detroit, Chicago, and other urban cities would be much safer with Robocop patrolling their streets.
That entire 10 seconds of the robbery scene was so epic.. you have his gun bent, he runs for it gets throw into a cooler glass winder.. he says thank you for your cooperation, and we have the tv saying.. id buy that for a dollar hahahaha. and the lady (assuming wonder of the store) pulling up her sweater with glee. This movie was so entertaining the little things and the slow pace is what made it so awesome. Now days its action non stop move on move on. NO time to savor anything.
2:05 - I love how the robber is launched towards the freezer...which is located sideways and not in the straight line that he is supposedly launched when Robocop stopped him, lol.
I love how he was walking into the store with one hand in his pocket like he was holding a pistol, then he just whips some abomination of a rifle out from under his coat.
I remember being a little kid in the 90s and watching this on VHS and the same music in robocop was the same music the lakers had in their 1987-88 back to back championship video. Good times. Great movie 🤖👮🏼♂️ I’d buy that for a dollar!! 😂
That robber was pretty strong to hold that gun while Robocop bent the barrel.
I'm questioning the angle of the punch that made the robber fly in the weird direction.
He's both strong, AND physics defying.
lol what calibre do you think that gun is? 😂

Repeating that line makes sense in this context. He’s firing round after round with no effect.

The cry of the guy when that bullet hits his groin. Every guy on the planet felt that.

Only if you cared about the balls of some scumbag.

Loved the Robocop flicks!
No one talks about the insane grip strength of the robber in order to hold the gun steady while Robocop bends it.
To be fair, it looks like it's about a .001 calibre
Or that he just trashed their store 😂
It’s the way robocop positions his fingers as he bends it. I was actually there but you can’t see it on the film
The fulcrum is on Robocop finger so with an extreme force is probably possible
I guess robo was so strong he bent it without affecting the rest of the weapon? lmao..
Masterpiece of a movie. Art deco and violence with amazing story.
