For some reason, I feel like the most saddest part of this message is "Do not return to the temple. That time has passed." Can you imagine being a jedi padawn or jedi knight, and hearing that message, knowing that the temple was your only home and your LIFE. You would feel so confused, not totally knowing what it would mean when you would hear that.
What’s really sad is how the Jedi order was built back and fell apart again. The Sith and Jedi will always exist in some way and will always fail unless one party is completely destroyed.
Especialy considering how fast it all happened. In a single moment, the Jedi went from keeping the Galaxy's peace for centuries to a nearly extinct group being hunted

It is odd to remember that when Obi recorded this specific message, anakin wasn't burned yet and was slaughtering septs... my god, the cancellation of the clone wars was one heck of a mistake.
Farid Amin except for the fact that the sith had not definitely won yet and obi wan hadn't faced anakin and Yoda hadn't faced Palpatine. There's a plot hole there.
Then again, I just imagine how sad it would be if say.. Someone tried to recreate the animation style of the clone wars series and show order 66 or anakin vs obiwan..
WITSENDFL what are you talking about?? There’s no plot hole. The Jedi & padawan were already dead in the temple and clones has turned against them at that point of time Obi Wan send that warning. Farid Amin I’ve watched it numerous times. If there was no point other than to avenge the dead they would not have done it because that would be an act of revenge and the Jedi do not take revenge. They were trying to fix it and end the sith so they may yet save the republic.
Today, these words hit differently. We are seeing our families, our friends, and our neighbors turning to the dark side because it was easier than to do what is right. To all those who survived, I say this: do not return to those who betrayed us, there is no going back. Hide in plain sight, blend in as much as possible. And hope that our resistance is successful

"It matters which side we choose. Even if there will never be more light than darkness. Even if there can be no more joy in the galaxy than there is pain. 1:12 is my favourite part. The music rises dramatically. The jedi struggle hopelessly against the tide of treachery. Their lightsabers sway and twinkle like stars. And like stars, the darkness surrounds them, snuffing out their light while the living force gives way to the dark side. Despair grips the hearts of the galaxy's guardians. Yet, Obi Wan echoes the words of those who still forge on, urging them to hold on to hope. "Trust in the Force."
I picked up Star Wars Jedi Fallen order and when Cere a former Jedi Master gives Cal a holocron, he activates it and you hear the beginning part of Obi-Wan Kenobi's warning message! I got serious chills when I saw that!

Love this! It’s cool to think about Obi-Wan sending out that message and then thinking about Ahsoka, Luke, Kanan, Ezra, Cal, etc. being out there on their own, then thinking about how far their storylines go throughout Star Wars.
debaxed I didn’t mean Obi-Wan was thinking about all of them, I meant it’s cool to think about Obi-Wan sending the message out, and then it’s cool to think about all of those surviving Jedi hearing the message.
“I regret to report both the Jedi order and republic have fallen” “This message is a warning and a reminder to any surviving Jedi” I almost cry when hearing that.
A lot of people saying that this makes them cry. This is true, everything felt so well composed that it definitely struck a chord and made me want to cry as well. Made me get those shivers that I got when I saw a bunch of these trailers for the first time.

When I saw Luke right after he said in time a new hope shall emerge/arise and then the title was shown sent goosebumps all over my body. Well done. Love videos that can create intense feelings in viewers.
The clone wars series is great but imagine if we got a clone war trilogy it would’ve great to see ahsoka from clone wars in live action Still though you got to watch the series is the best honestly it’s probably the best of Star Wars
Imagine them doing something like this at the end of Clone Wars Season 7. Obi-Wan’s message playing out while the surviving members of the Jedi Order, not just Ahsoka, but Jedi like Caleb Dume/Kanan Jaris, Cal Kestis, Cere with Trilla and other surviving Padawans going into hiding so as to help preserve the Order of the Jedi. Even show Jedi who would later become Inquisitors, like the Grand Inquisitor as he takes off his Temple Guard outfit, casting away his allegiance with the Jedi. Or any of the other sister/brother Inquisitors. And at the end show a small glimpse into the future, at the part where Obi-Wan says “In time, a new hope will emerge.” and we see a young Luke Skywalker gazing up at the twin suns of Tatooine.
@@thetalesofdaneandco well that's not really what was meant in the comment 😅 in this video it's just Ahsoka and Rex and not different surviving jedi trying to run fight and hide 😂
That would have been a fine ending. Seeing Cal or Caleb be helped by a stranger, or Inquisitors move on would've been sad and beautiful. Too, I can only imagine who amazing and sweet it would be to see surviving jedi, young and old, coming to Luke or waiting for Luke to find them, to get him what he needs to build his New Order. It' doesn't have to be canon, but that would make a great Tales of the Jedi episode
Remember to have hope, even if you believe it’s a fools hope that you have. Remember to have it. Trust in the living Force. You will know what must be done. We will get through this. We will survive.
Imagine being a Jedi, offworld alone, not knowing what happened and hearing the clone army had fallen, the Jedi temple had fallen, the republic had fallen, not knowing anything, the fear that they peace they had, had fallen
When I saw the shot of the Lars looking at the twin suns, I was hoping so much that it would transition into that historic shot of Luke, and it totally did. Karabast, this video gave me so many goosebumps. May the force be with you. 🌠
This video finally made me realize why I hate the sequels. This quote is setting up what Luke and Anakin were supposed to do. Cleanse the Jedi of their dark past, and restart the light side of the force with a clean slate. The sequels were supposed to be Luke bringing the Jedi back to their former glory, starting a new generation of Jedi. Not retelling the original trilogy again. The sequels are a groundhog day for the trilogy. Star wars starts with the Jedi corrupt and lazy, and therefore they allow the sith to wipe them out. Then the original trilogy comes in and brings light back into the galaxy. The sequels were supposed to show the Jedi return to power. Thats what we were all waiting for and expecting. But instead the first half of the force awakens starts by tearing down everything that had been set up in return of the Jedi, and then goes on to retell the story of the original trilogy. That's why I'm so unsatisfied with what the new trilogy has done. Rant aside, I absolutely love this video.
@@roblosonic505 I must say that I among many others share the opinion towards the sequel trilogy. I know many people still like the sequels despite their flaws, and I respect their opinions. But if you have to search to find who the fuck asked, you’re as blind as Dogma in the Battle of Umbara.
You are entitled to your opinion but my thoughts are that the Jedi never had a former glory, that was the point Luke was making in Last Jedi. At the height of their power the Jedi let the sith rise right under their nose. And to address this message specifically, Obi Wan literally says "do not return to the temple, that time has passed", he knows that the galaxy can't and shouldn't necessarily return to how it was before. That is a message not just to the surviving Jedi but to us the viewers as well, we must find a new way to keep the light, we can't cling to the old ways because if they worked the empire never would have risen in the first place.
Ok, it's been a year since I first commented here and I must say I was pretty stupid. I don't know why someone would still be scrolling through 3 year old comment section about star wars, but I must say my opinion has changed. The Last Jedi is hot garbage. It took me a while to realize it, but there I said it. I also said the prequels were dumb and full of plotholes. I don't think plothole would be the right term. I prefer inconsistency. How the jedi can activate and deactivate their power at the writer's will, how things are rushed and don't make any sense etc.
Awesome video 👍 1:14 did you make clones they weapon of they dark side that bought about the fall of the Jedi, since their lightsabers going off represents they light dying and they galaxy fell to the dark side
Between this inspirational message from the one and only Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the trailer music from TFA (when back then many had hopes for the future of the trilogy and where it would go...), this video was amazing in of itself. Good job on making another happy landing

Scrolling through the credits I see that no one has thought to congratulate Cheerios on his excellent amateur Adobe work, which is why he made this video in the first place. So let me be the first of 1.2 million viewers to say 'good job Cheerios, very smooth editing; sound's fine too, but you could bring the master volume up a bit,' instead of just ranting about balance in the Force! A New Hope
Obi wan Kenobi series
"Rebellions are built on hope"
It is odd to remember that when Obi recorded this specific message, anakin wasn't burned yet and was slaughtering septs... my god, the cancellation of the clone wars was one heck of a mistake.
Bryce Petite Agreed, but thanks to Rebels we have this wonderful Obi Wan speech that perfectly synchronized with the events of RotS
There’s no need for them to see Anakin got burnt and fought Palpatine to tell the Order and Republic has fallen. Go watch the movie again
Obi-Wan's speech hitting incredibly hard this week. May the Force Be With All of Us 💜

Obi-Wan, immediately after losing his apprentice, who he thought of as a brother, along with the entire Jedi Order: “Trust in the Force”
Obi-Wan, in the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series: *abandons the force until he has a memory montage of a little girl he shouldn’t have even met yet*
This is Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. I regret to report that both the Jedi and the Republic have fallen, with the dark shadow of the Empire rising to take their place. This message is a warning and s reminder for any surviving Jedi: Trust in the force. Do not return to the Temple. That time has passed, and our future is uncertain. We will each be challenged. Our trust. Our faith. Our friendship. But we must persevere and in time a new hope will emerge. May the force be with you. Always.

May the force be with you !
Come back to dagobah you must, tiny gift I have, obi wan. Satisfied you will be. He he he
'Our friendships"
"It matters which side we choose. Even if there will never be more light than darkness. Even if there can be no more joy in the galaxy than there is pain. For every action we undertake, for every word we speak, for every life we touch-it matters. I don’t turn toward the light because it means someday I’ll ‘win’ some sort of cosmic game. I turn toward it because it is the light." - Master & Apprentice.
Keep fighting for the light because it's what's right. Rage, rage, against the dying of the light.
Love that book!!
"Do not return to the Temple, that time has passed..." That line alone gave me goosebumps and brought tears to my eyes as well.
The part where Yoda opens his eyes is better tho

Love this! It’s cool to think about Obi-Wan sending out that message and then thinking about Ahsoka, Luke, Kanan, Ezra, Cal, etc. being out there on their own, then thinking about how far their storylines go throughout Star Wars.
The new hope was luke skywalker since he was the only one who saved the galaxy.

Well I hope your happy. The kenohi series will feature Live action clone wars battles
The clone wars series is great but imagine if we got a clone war trilogy it would’ve great to see ahsoka from clone wars in live action
Still though you got to watch the series is the best honestly it’s probably the best of Star Wars

Here it is.

@@thetalesofdaneandco well that's not really what was meant in the comment 😅 in this video it's just Ahsoka and Rex and not different surviving jedi trying to run fight and hide 😂

“May the Force be with you... *always.* ”
Keep searching boys
We might find who the fuck asked

I asked.
@@roblosonic505 just because nobody asked doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be allowed to say whatever he wants.

I am shivering at how EPIC that was! 😃

Incredibly well done! This makes me wish that the recording of this message was included in RotS and that the monologue played over the final montage. Done right, it could have made that ending even more beautiful.
I don't know why, but whenever there is a good Star Wars edit, I always wanna start to cry a bit.
And I don't say that lightly. My 70-year-old mother is an artist/photographer with a BFA who is also certified by Adobe in all things Adobe. She knows their platform and programs inside and out and I am her usual victim whenever she creates something new, so I know a bit about it. Again, well done, sir. Well done...
