- You're going to come across a lot of enemies in Skyrim. However, some of these enemies are particularly hidden, special one of a kind characters with unique names and backstories that are typically much harder to defeat than your average bandit. And chances are, you’ve never fought any of them before!

When I found the giant mudcrab, I still had the Posh mudcrabs modification installed so there was a giant mud crab complete with top hat and monocle. Totally worth it😂

At that point, just mod a Mr. Krabs model in with the "money" soundbit and then goes aaaaa when killed.
You can mod skyrim however you want to and still have fun. I like the mods to fit into the lore some kind of way. That means almost anything can fit in. Even a mud crab with a top hat 😊😊
Taron Dreth did not kill Katria, he just stole her research. Katria died from a fall while trying to solo Arkngthamz to prove she had authored the research.

I was very surprised that Vulthuryol (the Blackreach dragon) wasn't on this list since it is easy to walk right on by and not know how to summon him.
Which makes him one of the few boss fights some people may ACTUALLY not know about. Unlike all the mentioned ones, pretty much everybody WILL know about. (Yeah, I hate those clickbaity titles.)

i actually first fought him by accident. the dwemer sun thing in that fortress looked too suspicious not to attack it and i didn't have a bow at the time, sooooo....

Excuse me, THERE'S A DRAGON IN BLACKREACH???!!! I played through the main questline like 5 times already, how did I not know about this?
Especially since these bosses are virtually unmissable, unless you're doing a minimalist run where you don't explore and only follow quest markers.
Not just the word wall, it's also important to grab the steel battleaxe of fiery souls in ironbind barrow. It's the only way to get the fiery soul trap enchantment.
Yes it's very useful especially if you put fires soul trap ans fire damage on something great for vampires, trolls, bandits and almost anything without fire resistance.
Is the Wolf Queen really hidden, the first time you go to the Blue Palace you have to sit through Varnius' plea for help, which kicks off the quest chain leading to her, before you're allowed to speak to anyone.
That isn’t the same quest, but you’re right in a way. The follow-up quest where Falk sends a letter to you is the one where you fight Potema. It’s not a hidden boss fight.

Out of all 10 of these, I've found The Forgemaster to be the toughest to fight. It's not necessarily him that's hard, but the endless waves of Dwemer guardians and spiders that attack you while trying to kill The Forgemaster AND stop the steam from coming into the room.
Thanks for warning me. I shall now never do that quest because Dwemer things are the worst enemies in the game you can't change my mind I hate them
What? They stop spawning once the Forgemaster arrives. And the steam is barely a problem. A couple hits and it's dead.
He died in one hit to me, same as most enemies lol. Max level stealth, archery, enchanting, and smithing, I was doing like 2000 damage per shot.
This is where having a follower with good gear _and_ a good summon (Sanguine Rose) come in handy. And Katria. None of them are affected by damage scaling, so they can provide a proppa scrap!
Related note: Battle for Whiterun + Ritual Stone= Some Lich King shit.
Skyrim doesn't have boss battles and you cant change my mind they're just special named characters

My favorite part of taking down Arondil was realizing that I could just sneak to the back of his throne room and snatch the soul gem from its place, allowing the ghost lady he'd enslaved to kill him for me.

Dammit. I just did this quest a couple days ago. I had no idea that was the case.
@@madwilliamflint Oh yeah. I figured it out myself when I had to re-do the quest because of a game crash. Be advised, though, that the ghost lady will attack you once she's finished with Arondil.

Managed to take it using telekinesis whilst in stealth mode. The enthralled ghosts, once freed of his curse tore him up. I didn’t kill any of them.
Huh. I didn't even do the quest, i just randomly found him and one shotted him with my "dragonboner" hammer that does 500 damage per swing.
im surprised the dragon in blackreach wasnt mentioned since that fight can only be activated with specific conditions. I totally missed it my first time going to blackreach

There's actually 4 dragons that you can fight before Alduin starts resurrecting his folk, aside from the skeleton you mentioned.
1. Duhnevir (Always forget how to spell it)
2. The two dragons on the Firgotten Vale
3. The orange-black dragon in Blackreach
Edit: Actually only Duhnevir.
You can't fight the blackreach dragon before dragon rising, without mods or console commands, as you need the Unrelenting Force shout and more than one word of it. (I have tried with one word and failed; I have not tried 2 words. Three words works.) The second and third words are quest locked to main quests after Dragon Rising.
the two dragons from the forgotten vail don't spawn in till after dragon rising but you can fight one in the soul cairn
@@zeroone8800theoretically you could kill Ulfric and resurrect him and lead him into blackreach and bait him into shouting at the orb before doing any main quest

If only the forge entrance didn't bug and not allow me to place the shards and continue the quest without commands
2 small corrections, dude didn't kill Katria, she fell into a crevass during a quake and you can also encounter Vulthuryol without doing dragon rising, but it is a bit of a pain in the butt.
you forgot one of the best and hardest if not the hardest secret bosses being kaarthstagg the spirit frost giant who resides in kaathstagg castle on solsteim i died to him 15 + times on adept difficulty at level 50 hes one hard fight but i had 8 out of ten ive heard of on your list

I fought all these guys, surprised I didn't see that one dragon that spawns after you ring a few bells in that one underground dwemer location, that one was surprising to me.
I absolutely love your skyrim ccontent. I recently started up a new game and have been loving it. I've played this game close to 25 times and I still love it. I also started oblivion again and I really hope those oblivion remasters for new systems is a true leak.
One of my biggest mistakes was trying to take down Potema at level 9 with 37 iron arrows with a imperial bow, 11 minor healing potions, a basic healing spell, and a dragur war axe. Took 2 hours, lot of cursing, and constantly hiding to repeatedly do sneak attacks. The dragur scourge she had was worse than Potema herself. At least the fight taught me that things can only come back once before becoming ash.
I feel like I've found the body of the giant mudcrab somewhere out in the wilds. It was a dormant piece of scenery lying near one of the little crab pools, I think, on the plains far west of Whiterun.
Yup. It's an unmarked location. First time I saw it I thought I had to fight it, so I preemptively blasted it with a fireball.

I've played Skyrim for over 240 hours and the only one of these I've actually found (so far) is Warlord Gathric. I was going after a random "Source of Power" quest that led me to his tomb. I was level 12. He was a Draugr Overlord. He could TWO shot me. He DID one shot my follower (to downed, not dead) state a few attempts. But then I beat him and that was one of the most satisfying victories I've ever had in Skyrim.
If you can sneak past Arondil and pick up the Soul Gem beside him, the ghosts will attack him. They'll still be hostile toward you, but, you can let them have some justice before sending them to their final rest.

what i love is that people can have hundreds of hours in skyrim you can have only experienced 3 or 4 of these.
Gathrik is odd because along with Yngol, one in Skuldafn, and maybe others, he's of the rare undead type that appears as either a deathlord or dragon priest depending on level. Yngol is more interesting, because Ysgramor's son being a dragon priest and also having died on the way to Skyrim clearly means the dragon cult started in Atmora.
An important detail about Iron Bind Barrow. Completing it grants the fiery soul trap weapon that can be disenchanted for the best soul trap enchantment in the game

I knew about all of these except for number 10. How have you not heard of Potema? Shes tied to a quest and you get contacted after aanwhile to deal with her again
And isn't that the quest you need to complete to be able to buy a house in Solitude?
Where is the Reaper? (He can found in Soul Cairn)

For Potema, Meridia’s sword helps a lot during the battle, since there’s a chance the enemy you killed explode and set fire to the other. Once killed, said burning enemies will be turned to ashes.
I absolutely can not believe that Karstaag is not on this list.
The skeletal dragon is absolutely terrifying in VR if you don’t know it’s there!!! My children learned a couple new choice words that day…
There's 5 dragons not resurrected by alduin ... paarthunax, the skeletal dragon, the twins in the forgotten vale (no burials there so they been there sleeping til you disturb them) and the dragon of blackreach
There is also the one in the soul cairn

I kinda cheesed the fight with The Forgemaster with the Wabbajack, did get a tasty sweet roll out of it.
The way the draugr fell in the beginning cracked me up.
Have encountered all of these bosses multiple times, several of them, in my first every playthrough when the game released

If you have issues with the man who cried wolf go get the ritual stone. Kill the first couple waves, hit your power and you got half the room fighting for you. Gives you time to hide n heal
The emperors mudcrab which is found by completing the fidhing quest line is tougher

I always just calm all of the horkers, including Lord Tusk…I found a cool way to mess with the necromancers in wolfskull cave by using a staff of either storm atronach or the sanguine rose and causing one of them to appear near the ritual master,,,it breaks the spell they have on the draugr and the draugr begin to attack the necromancers! I have seen and done all of these quests…..so many quests…lol. I am on my 39th game….as for the labyrinthian dragon, I have always gotten 5 dragon scales from it…🥰
The guys at Bethesda seem to have something against Dunmers with the name "Dreth"
Pfff, none of the mudcrabs comes even close to the Emperor crab guardian spirit. That was one of my favs 🤘🤘🤘😁😁😁

I killed the wolf queen my first time using the ritual stone to reanimate the pipe of draugr. It was… quick
I was suprised that instead of the giant mud crab at the end of the fishing quest line was replaced by some wimpy joke mud crab bosses, that crab was badass and the fight was pretty different than others in the game
A thought town guard told me he saw a white strange thing in a cavern, i was there confident thinking it was a frost troll ... i never got out of that cavern! the white ugly fenders and the fucking machine had got me..
I’ve never seen Dragon Priest Gathrick before… that would be a shock!

this dude is kinddda hard to find if ur new in game since there is no quest for it and pretty strong boss too
In general: lot of the battles aren't realy tough, if you do know the shout ice form, which let's you freeze your enemies and keep them from attacking you, while you can take them down 1 by 1.
Also, personally I don't think that all of the bosses are actually "secret" or "easy to miss". Some of them I wouldn't call boss fight as well.
Actually easily missable boss battles: 1,4,5,6,(8),10
Not boss, but still easily missable: 7
Not secret, as they are part of fraction questline or their quests basically "comes to you": 2,3,9
2) Can't think that a lot of players missed him, cause you encounter him during the Dark Brotherhood questlline.
3) Also not realy a secret boss battle. You have to do the prequel quest to become Thane of Solitude/Haarfingar, and Potemas quest will than be brought to you by a courier. Sure, it's completely optional, but so is basically everything except the mainquest.
4) I found the remains of the giant mudcrab (and also knew what was up with it) but never got it to appear. Never found out, that it is part of a quest that is given by a rather hidden quest giver.
7) Wouldn't actually call him a boss, rather an unique random encounter, but he is indeed easy missable
8) Also not sure if you can call him a boss, but at least he is the last encounter in a dungeon
9) Again, not a secret boss, as his encounter is part of the mage academy questline
Nearby the Guardian Mudcrab, you can see it's corpse.
Well, there is another dragon that you can fight before dragon rising : Duhrnevir.
I've seen the forgemaster ,Taran Dreth before the skeletan dragon gathric and potema, but none of the others
I knew all of them, but good that you put Gathrik the last, since i've only discovered him recently. Also Uderfrykte is not secret at all if you have to kill it in order to finish a major questline. Old salty isn't a boss battle. You could have exchanged them by less known bosses, like King Olaf, since you don't even need to kill him in order to complete the bards college and first couple of playthroughs i missed his fight completely and didn't know it existed. Also there are other lesser known bosses, like the giant chaurus under the lighthouse (that one is even more horror than the horker). Luah Al'Skaven, Halldir, Vighar or Movarth Piquine.

The surest way to miss those bosses is to kill them with one arrow and not notice.
Just finished the aetherium quest and the forgemaster while taking forever to drop was fairly easy, with Katria and another companion drawing his attention I barely took damage. Did the wolf queen a bit before that. Gonna have to hunt down the rest of these

You can actually found the shell of that very same giant Mud Crab somewhere nears Whiterun city.
You can also fight Durnehviir before doing Dragons Rising dunno about any others.
Arondill did what he did out of love for his dead wife, this ghost you can find sleeping in their room in the cave where you find him. If you read good journal he comes off as a very sad, but sympathetic character, and not some monstrous corpse fucker.

I lost a sword when fighting the Wolf Queen's legions. Never found it after the fight and I think it was the first time I ever got disarmed without getting sent flying from a shout. Good thing I always carry extra weapons.

I always felt that Bethesda dropped the ball when it came to Potema. There should have been an option of having her join you, or even you joining her.
I know there are mods that will put different versions and power levels of Potema in the game, but she should have been there in the vanilla game.

I have hundreds of hours of playtime in Skyrim and I'm about to install it again after the disappointment called Starfield. I haven't even seen all of these, such a cool video!
Last time I uninstalled I stumbled upon Karstaag. Man was I surprised. Morrowind's Bloodmoon is my favorite DLC for any game ever made. I tried to fight him a bunch of times and I had like five companions with me, but we couldn't beat him. I decided that next time I'm playing again, I'm going straight to Solstheim and we will finish the job.
fighting a bandit mage on novice difficulty as an Argonian spellblade that is also kind of a Stealth archer (heavy armor, one handed sword with the flames destruction spell and a bow)
i found 7 of these on my own .. idk what list this is i feel like these are common. Most videos i’m usually in the 2-4 range.
