- The Vivo X100 Ultra is finally here with me after a long ass delay. I wasted no time in putting this camera to the test immediately in late night Bangkok. I focused mostly on low light zoom shots against the iPhone 15 Pro Max, S24 Ultra, and Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

Ben never dissapoints, i am always happy to see photos side by side shot with the phones .
Just when I thought Xiaomi 14 Ultra was the best, here comes Vivo and obliterates everyone with those zoom shots!
There is no best for a long time.. every phone maker has something special that is better than everyone else's. I hate vivo for one thing: They don't come in west!
You can argue even the X100 Pro was better than 14 Ultra in camera. 14 Ultra still a very slid phone overall though
Do you recommend any trustworthy website or place to fet the vivo it would mean a lot

I couldn't agree more. I never consider Samsung's camera to be on a flagship level, it's only adequate when compared to $500 phone.
S24 stinks! S23 was far superior and even in daylight, images at 50mp or 200mp is embarrassing. It's broken

I was missing you man! For true! I will wait for the big review comparing the Ultra with Vivo x100 pro. You introduced Vivo in me, a year ago, with the x90 pro review, and now i can´t get rid of it! :) I believe i will go from a PIXEL 2XL to the VIVO ULTRA. Lets see what is your final opinion. I am specially curious because it seems, from other more in deep reviews, that the Tradicional Vivo Colors are missing. Specially noticed in well exposed shots, skin tones and macros. Be safe!

Nice video Ben. For me the X100 ultra could still produce a little darker shots. For the people who just point and shoot. Yes it comes out also by other tester that the vivo ultra is best at night but instead at daytime other tester Said that the x100 ultra at daytime has the baddest cams of all ultra phones. Let's see what your next daytime comparison will tell us.

A very important question. Most of the companies now have of fast protocols like Xiaomi's Hyper Charge or OnePlus SuperVooc. However, most powerbanks and charging hubs like Ugreen or Anker use QC 3.0/3.1. Apparently - Vivo x100 and x100 pro fully support 100W QC 3.0. Did you have a chance to check if Vivo X100 Ultra can be charged up to full 80w using QC 3.0 charger ?

You're the one who made get out from candybars flagships to the Vivo X Fold 3 pro, and I am so glad I stepped out to try this foldable device. The camera is awesome enough beside what this phone brings me in my daily life. I'm gonna keep the x fold 3 pro and hope that the inner screen will last in time 🤞
I also believe that the X100 Pro is worth to buy instead of the Ultra... I had none of those two, but that's my own opinion 😉

This is the phone to beat. I just bought one and very impressed. Not many people know it can shoot 4k120 video for the main and zoom. Incredible. Only Xperia and now x100u can do this. It also has a very good gimble like OIS for video that beats iphone 15 easily.

Vivo x100 ultra got the first update recently in China and it fixed many bugs for the camera. Hope you get this update before uploading the next video

This year ultra's smartphones are betting all in sensors size and image processing. Will it be better in 2025? Many say don't buy a flagship this year because 2025 will be the arrived of massive AI features, new Snapdragon architecture and new ISP. So when you have time will you do a video about your thoughts about it? I wish you a nice week.

How is the battery life. I heard its more less and worse than x100 pro. Is it true? And i also heard that its not well optimised as x100 pro and they realised without it.

Looking forward to the comparison with the x100 pro. Can you do a comparison with the x90 pro+? would be nice to see just how big the generational improvement is. Obviously I already know the X100 pro is better than the x90pp but would be nice to see if the x100u is worth the upgrade for x90pp users.
I bought the x90pp based on your videos last year, so i'm excited to see how this phone holds up in comparison. I've seen a lot of "controversy" around the 200MP periscope so far. love to see your opinion also

I agree. The VIVO zoom is the best. The iPhone has had camera updates and is now a lot better than it was at launch. It was second in the three comparisons it was in. The S24U continues to disappoint despite Samsung fans claiming a revolutionary camera update will solve everything-that has yet to happen.
Sadly, there will be no global release, so for most of us, the VIVO is not a sensible option, especially as even importing the Ultra is very expensive-$1300 before 20% VAT for a 512GB model.
Waiting for your full review of the X100 Ultra. Your X90 Pro Plus review was a big factor in my purchase of that phone.
the s24 ultra should not be this bad at night pictures considering it's price, this looks like a midranger camera
In 7 years I've been using Samsung flagships only, never did once happen that software update made a big/significant camera improvement (even if it was acceptable to release "flagships" with basic things that need to be "fixed"). On contrary, as soon as they present new model, software updates almost always start degrading camera on previous one.
