Thanks for the good review. Rumour has it that Toyota will be launching a Fronx clone called the Taisor soon. Chances are that it will sell better than the Fronx. As a happy Fronx owner myself, I share your sentiment of having this model for Suzuki only.
I bought a glx auto and am suitably impressed with the fuel consumption and the nippiness. I never bother about a sunroof as I usually have the ac running and found that the sunroof just sucks the cool air out. I enjoy the 4 speed gearbox and smooth gear changes and for the price it is quite an awesome vehicle. I have a 2.2 diesel auto bakkie but I must say I'm really enjoying the road with my fronx😊... Of course if you have R80k plus then upgrade to a bigger motor and better gearbox.
@@Petunia568 don't you guys just signal move out and slow up the traffic behind you until you slowly overtake the vehicle like so many people do in the UK ?
@@lindanimkhize1138 I'm a bit confused, because I'm 100% sure that Suzuki is from Japan and some of their vehicles are manufactured in India just like Toyota some of their their vehicles are manufacturered in South Africa but Toyota is from Japan. Correct me if I'm wrong please.
@@lindanimkhize1138 even the name sounds Japanese. Suzuki is a Japanese company. I get your confusion with India though as most of these are built in India through Suzuki's subsidiary called Maruti. In India these cars go by the name of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Maruti Suzuki Swift etc. Maruti is partially owned by the govt of India and Suzuki (Japanese) retains majority ownership. This relationship is like that of Opel (international) and Vauxhall (UK). Read up on it. Bottom line: Suzuki is a Japanese multinational headquartered in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Japan.
I'm loving my Fronx, the fuel efficiency is amazing 👌 this is important in SA. Maybe this is an issue you can cover a bit more, as well as the service plan
Great review as always. Good looking car, I love it. I'd get a manual GLX model as I am not a fan of a 4 speed auto transmission. I wish Suzuki would consider a 5/6 speed auto transmission in the Baleno & Fronx. I do agree with you.....Suzuki should just keep this car to themselves.
With Japanese, there's no a clear distinction between need and want... Indian want affordability... A sunroof adds nothing of value, but hikes the price by good fraction. They won't be do it
Well,we are told that the Rebadged Fronx is coming to Toyota as Toyota Taisor......and as person who has owned a Suzuki since 2012..i hate to see Toyota win over Suzuki here in SA. I am loyal to Suzuki. The fronx its going to be outsold by the Toyota Taisor to follow similar trends of what Startlet is doing to Baleno, Urban Cruise to Grand Vitara..it really sucks and yet South Africans are yet to witness a product that is Toyota rebadged as Suzuki.😢
We need to talk to Suzuki about their interiors. Why on earth is it so many colours???🫣 black is genuinely okay. Why is the interior 50 shades of maroon?
This is a niche question but I’m unable to view the car before I purchase it due to the high demand here! Do you think I’d be able to fit a wheel chair in the boot? It will be folded up, sitting/standing in the upright position. Of course the privacy screen would have to be removed but I’m worried about the slope of the lid of the boot. I’ve tried googling it and although I can see its size in litres, can’t find anything on the dimensions in cm to measure up.
@@ShannaFranco-p9r Very Niche question and I unfortunately can’t answer you right now because I don’t remember how big/small the boot is. But I might get the car again and when I do I will definitely cover that and answer your question.
Turbos are high maintenance and and that would go against the logic behind the concept of an urban car. The typical driver doesn't need forced induction to go to the office/church/school which is 90% use
I bought the fronx last year in November, and my car is not very fuel efficient. I am currently sitting on 18.4 average fuel consumption 😢😢 I am starting to think that there might be something wrong with the car😭😭
I've watched and read so many Fronz reviews. This is the best one cause you helped me decide which transmission is best for me

I am planning to buy this car later this year. Can you please highlight a bit about the bonnet visibility from driver seat?

Probably will do that for the sport variants.
😂😂😂I just love your coated honesty
It's giving jaguar vibes at the back
Good value for money ❤️👌i love it👌
Needs more power, at least 140kw and panoramic opening sunroof and sound system and digital dash all for R400k ...then its good to go
It's sad that even with this one, they didn't add a sunroof. I hope that add a sunroof to the next Baleno

Does the Fronx GLX have a full spare wheel?
Yes it does
Boot space?
You didn't open the boot 😢
I want a GL with GLX alloy wheel. I can't stand those black alloys
I had to rewatch this to type "they now have Toyota starlet cross" lol
Should I trade in my Kia Sonet LX CVT for this?
