Love the review. My 2 cents. Gotta disagree on this one, but we are usually 100% aligned. The Mirage is the most accurate rival blaster I own. Without a doubt. So I’m in the great blaster camp. I’m able to handle the top loading issues with practice. The old and challenger mag thing sux for sure, but I only have newer straight mags so it doesn’t show up for me. It also has slam fire! I’m left handed and have not had issues. Most of us wrong handed folks 😊 have figured out how to drop mags that aren’t full ambi with our trigger or middle finger and this release is actually easier for lefties than right handers imo. I did remove the front rails and weird yellow site thing, but it is making all my other rival springers lonely.
You know, this is the other side of the argument. Clearly, some people are having a great time with the blaster! I like hearing this perspective and think it's very valuable to this conversation! Because you highlighted these points so well, I'm pinning this comment! :)
Really appreciate the honest opinion, even when it isn’t what we want to hear. I was going back and forth about buying this blaster. After watching you videos video, I decided to wait until it shows up at goodwill. Thank you for the great content!
Im sure if we suggest attachments for these things we'll get what we ask for a modulus rival mash up would be sweet like an extended barrels shrouds scopes grips box rotary mags etc...
I really enjoy plinking with this blaster and using it with the kids in stock backyard battles. I wish the grip was a little more structurally sound. At the very least, as long as you have a mag in the blaster, the grip feels sturdy. Great video!
@foamquest top loading took some getting used too. I was having issues double feeding. My solution was to push the round back and down rather than just down into the mag. As far as jams I didn't have any
I just discovered this blaster a couple days ago and ordered one after wathing Walcom's review. He did not mention any of the mag compatability issues, or difficulty top loading. I don't think I have any new style mags, and didn't even know the design changed. I'll see how it goes when mine comes in and report back.
@@foamquestIt came in today (5/15). The first thing I did was try to top load the included magazine. The first 4-5 rounds go down easily, but it gets weird after that. The system can be very picky about the angle you load. I found that pushing straight down, and a little backwards as you go works the best. It should be pretty easy to get consistent results with some more practice. I tried the new, and old magazines, and both worked fine with no issues. I would say the old style might have even went in a little smoother in some cases. The magazine release is in a weird location on the grip, but I have big hands, so hitting it with my middle finger isn't a problem. The safety switch is in a weird spot for me. Because of my long fingers, Using the selector from a full hold on the grip is difficult. This can be a good thing, because it makes me have to be sure of each operation of the switch by breaking my grip. The only issue I have with it right now is the priming handle. The prime is heavy, and not as smooth as other Rival blasters, so the hollow design feels flimsy when you have to really grab it. It can also be difficult to tell when I have a full prime, because the action is really quiet compared to the loud clicking of other blasters. This issue has gotten better as I get used to the sounds it makes. Overall, it's a very cool blaster for the price. Once I get consistent at top loading, I think it will be a great option for the times I don't want to run a full size blaster.
This has been the most polarizing blaster I think I've ever seen. A lot of people like Wacom & Tesseras Nerf Room are saying its fantastic and one of the best rival blasters. Then theres other people who say it sucks, and is one of the worst rival blasters. It appears some are lemons, and some work perfectly, because some people haven't had any jams, mag issues, or top loading problems. It's really weird...... Great review though! I feel like a gotta review it and see what's going on
It does seem like there could be some modal variance. With my expectations and hype, It was hard to give this blaster such a negative review. With that being said, if you ever get one, I would be very curious about your experience and thoughts!
Odd spot for the mag release. Holes in the grip, not smart. The breach load, is a fail, and not compatible with other mags. Prime is rough, and it jams. I think this is one I could definitely wait for, like for a long time 😂! Thanks for the review!

I've been looking forward to blaster for a long time now, mainly because of how unique it was 😭
Same! :(
i find it crazy that the new rival blasters feel worse in every way than early rival blasters from the start to phantom core

I would be all for that!
@@foamquest I'd pay good money for that instead of having to machine my own and Hasbro could turn a profit for once
too bad hasbro never listens lol. If they actually did that would be awesome! :)
I would like the mirage because i could breach load it which means that i don t need multiple magazines.
I just wish that feature worked better!
I fixed the two hole grip problem by wrapping it in tape works with the grip

Have you experienced the jamming issues? Can you top load effectively?

Getting flashbacks of Walcoms7's review of the Elite 2.0 warden 😬

I definitely would love to hear about your experience when your model arrives!

@@mrferret888 Thanks for sharing your experience!
@@foamquest I find it funny that the breach system actually works well on my Mirage. I am thinking this is some sort of lemon with some of them.
@@ha-kyaa7815 Could be
Got one, jammed consistently within 3 magazines. Maybe its user error, but its frustrating.
Sounds like you had a similar experience to the one I had! Annoying, right?
I appreciate your opinions and efforts. As much as I like rival, this is a pass for me. Take care.
Foam quest did you know the rival mirage? It has slam
fire.
Unfortunately, I wasn't aware until after I made this review. Though, It is a very clunky slamfire!

Is there a hop up?
Yep. The Mirage is one of the more accurate Rival blasters! If only other aspects worked better
Great review man it’s definitely a unique blaster it’s hard to say what it’s trying to be

Personally, I think was a little sad with this review. The mirage could improve though.
i think its supposed to serve as a rival commander
Maybe? It is a smaller blaster with a decent capacity
Not even the challenger or that in my country but i will get the rival curve sideswipe take care foamquest!❤
Let me know what you think of the Sideswipe! It's an interesting one!
I liked the mirage a all
I just posted a video 20 min ago🙃
Watched it! ;)
