For me at least, the best part of most games hits around that "lvl 10" moment when the tutorials are all clear and you're just making levels and finding your stride, exploring new stuff as it lands in your lap. End game is great, but the middle part of the pie, that's where I find I'm just having fun. End game tends to bring a lot of stress and 'work' from fighting diminishing returns all the time.
I played the previous beta and thoroughly enjoyed it. To me its like a Division game with a Lovecraft theme and light survival/crafting/building component. Def my game to play this year
@@aegisedge377 To be fair they said it's not gonna be connected, despite in CBT it being directly linked - you gambled with currency used for cosmetics. Also some weapon attachments were locked behind emotes that cost premium currency (you need to buy specific emotes) which could mean that best sniper/rifle/crossbow attachment could be locked behind $5? emote. Which is funny way to implement it and I already can see how +100% mag size or -50% reload speed is not considered P2W by die-hard reddit community because "buying emotes is not P2W".
This game looks awesome. I really like secret world legends and this kinda gives me that vibe, but much newer and totally different structure. Definitely have to play this game when it comes out! Their take on Seasons kind of sounds like Halo Infinite where you can play and progress whichever season you want and none expire but they do have time limts to get the associated achievements / goals. Seasons which are community based progress, sounding like WOW patches with phases until you unlock the final phase. Thinking of the Isle of Quel d'anas where the community progressed the phases. The end of Season sounds like Icarus where you keep all knowledge and achievement progress and when you start a new mission you can chose your loadout limited by inventory space to bring into the next mission.
well in rust they implement a really good way of fresh wipes by having smaller weekly or biweekly wipes where you can carry over blueprints and monthly or bimonthly everything starts fresh again.
So many people looking at a game in beta at face value and calling it trash before it even gets off its feet or even trying it themselves... I dumped about 30 to 40 hours into the last beta and only got through half the content. There is a lot to do and only a quarter of the map was playable in the beta. I could've easily dumped way more hours into the game but the beta came to an end. Trust this is easily a game to keep on everyone radar.
Its not the same thing really, but the idea of bringing limited stuff with you from the main world into a season reminds me of the latest expedition of NMS, where we could bring like 8 technologies, 24 slots of items, a ship and a multitool.
SOOOO excited for this game to come back...I LOVED this game, even in beta it was the most fun I have had in gaming in years. Been counting the days until the CBT3 is back
Even though I didn't love the game Defiance back when it came out, I was really hoping other devs would try and copy that idea and improve upon it. I think an MMO looter-shooter sounds like a great idea when it comes to fun and many hours of satisfying gameplay. That's assuming it's done right, of course.
Thanks for update, it is only semi-on radar but will be full on now. I am usually wary of shooter MMOs, it is hard to have a good responsive shooter and 'massive' in an MMO. So will have to see how they keep players spread since it is hard and at launch to deliver on that, initially I can't see alot in an area working (PS2 is about it, and it is all shooting and it has issues, but it works). Plus if it has the p2w/gun earn that PS2 had at launch... ugh ugh ugh. But is on radar, looks fun to try at least.
I really enjoyed Secret World - not because it's MMO gameplay - frankly, it was poor. But Secret World had great storyline and very immersive world. This game may give me a bit of that Secretwroldish vibe. Although i'm worried about Funcom's Dune. Itf this title looks better, does it mean, that Dune looks bad?
I would LOVE to have Secret World with this graphics / combat. That would be amazing. That game had the best and hardest puzzles to solve and a great story as well.
what i didnt like about it was at the end of december/begining of january i was stuck in the hospital for weeks, and when i went to play again all my progress was completely undone and had to pretty much start over again. given my situation i just uninstalled the game because a month-ish later the same thing happened i got put back in the hospital. and even tho it was a beta and it didnt matter but if that happens in the full version thats gonna be a huge let down because i loved the game even with the jankiness n bugs. i hope that they do something about that because i would love to sink more hours into this when i can.
Unless they fuck up monetization and blueprint progression, which they were suppose to fix before release, then it's definitely worth playing at least once every couple of seasons. It's decent game within itself, community seemed nice on my server at least. But protip if you have high ping then you'll want to use weapons with less rounds per minute, as it's apparently ping dependent.
I haven't heard of this game before today, but I really hope it works out. I'm so tired of fantasy MMOs and pure survival games that I'm open to anything original in MMOs.

hopefully they get end game right because there was zero to do after you got a lot fo the stuff. For such a big map it was great fun for about 30-40 hours
I've played the Beta, and it's absolutely recommended. So much QOL that survival games have needed for eons along with the freedom of an MMO and the squadplay of Division
Eternaland kinda sounds like the Fallout76 premium private servers, but without all the restrictions and everything being temporary and not saved. Gotta say, it sounds interesting!
I put some time into it and enjoyed it but I saw the signs of it getting repetitive partly why I didn't go ham on it esp in a beta where there was going to be wipes.
Has a similar style and vibe as "Obscure" which is a PS2 game I remember playing with friends. If it's fun I will check it out. If it's p2w in any form at all, I won't bother.
I'm not stoked about the seasonal system. As a gamer who usually play quite the same game quite infrequently because I enjoy rotating the games I play, I generally dislike seasons because they tend to mean I'm replaying the beginning of my character all the time. Other than that, I remember watching many streamers playing the last beta and the game looked really neat.
Game is great, and what I played of the beta I loved the seasonal system. They did add an island that you can bring stuff in between seasons but I’m not sure how that will work yet. It will be in next beta April 3rd
Only thing I am worried about is them fragmenting the game to much...Seems like everyone can choose so many things that the population might get to stretched thin for each piece of content. They might be trying to make to many people happy and its gonna hurt the game in the long run. The Eternaland was only developed because people complained about wipes...Then some people can stay with that or choose 4-5 different types of content, IDK, seems like to much.
with this whole seasonal structure they should drop 1 boss where players in a server have to fight. Those who didnt survive dont benefit from beating the boss.
Living in China for 7 years now... Amazing place! But sadly monetization is always a CORE element of culture here... Its not they can't create amazing stuff but is usually behind a paywall.. People here are making rivers of money with small business and shit.. a 30-40-50 even a 100 dollars game isnt a big deal for most ppl here that have a normal job.. I really hope one day tho they manage to make a super nice game with their tech and not be fully pay to win.
@@kallmekrissyttvI can dream... But knowing the Chinese market for 7 years..Very hard to believe..gotta wait after release maybe 6 months..to 1 year.. then we will see their true colors..if not even before release...
Full release is around July, so we can see. But they said that people would have to end them to do pay to win. I love everything about this same so far. And just because a group of people do something doesn’t mean everyone is the same. Have some good hopes
Funny for me seasons are the reason I get stressed in those games. I don't have the time to play those games all the time. Coming back after a few weeks because I play something different and everything changed, I missed story content and there are now a lot of new mechanics really stresses me out. This happened all the time with destiny 2. It really kills my enjoyment because of FOMO and a wall to climb every single time I return. I hope the seasons are persistent because it kind of looks like that. But yeah we'll see. Game looks interesting and right up my alley if content won't get taken away from players that don't dedicate 40 hours a week to play just THAT game
You will keep your character you make, the only thing is you’ll go from max lvl at the end of one season to base lvl the beginning of next season. You’ll also keep all your cosmetics from each season.
Always aggravates me that people ruin their visuals by putting HP bars and damage numbers everywhere. Hope that can get turned off. This might be worth playing for a few months tho.
So I've played Once Human for I don't know, a hundred hours maybe, during the last open beta. The game is very much pay to win, actually, and not only that, but it is also a gacha. Every season new blueprints for equipment are available in the gacha system where you need to spend real money to play, and these blueprints are not available in the game as loot. Needless to say, these blueprint are actually OP and even if you get rare blueprints, upgrade tem to Tier 5 (which is not easy because you need more blueprints of the same equipment), craft their recipe at maximum tier (which again, is not easy because you must farm rare resources), they will never be as powerfull as the ones you can get in the gacha system. Also, the amount of currency you get in game to use in the gacha system is ridiculously low and the value of each gacha shot changes depending on what item are you trying to get.
The blueprints are available in game on the map. Just not during beta because we only played about 33% of the full thing. Everything you get in the wish machine you can easily find in the world during full release.
Yes, "maybe its not just quarterly and much more consistent and ongoing repeating" doesn't at all sound like they want to sell season passes every month.. NOT AT ALL...
I played last beta. You can get 4K+ per sever and there is about 600+ in each world(6 worlds in each server) I ran into multiple people all the time. Don’t like the beginning area because it became crowded with people. I had up to 200ish people in one spot too. It’s fun
Every game is better with friends, but I know a few people who played the whole last beta solo. If you need some friends let me know you can join my warband
I played it very deep into the game. It falls apart mid/end game and becomes a massive chore. I'm hoping they know what to do with the design. Although you are right it is an enjoyable mmo, but yea it fell off hard. I'm very leery of how it will go though
Honestly don't know what the game is like but why can't people do this from the get go and release Raid and dungeons that are challenging and a core part of the feature not just a bullet sponge. I'll check this one out on release.
Secret World vibe is kinda cool but that’s it. Overall seems like the same old thing with nothing particularly new, unique, or interesting. Seems more likely to end up a boring, pay to win, grind.
Bro says the same about every single new MMO like game that comes out. "Best looking new MMO." and when it comes out it's always the same story. "Game is bad/lacking."
Even in the beta there was a hell of a lot to do and only a quarter of the map was unlocked. The map is massive. The game could've released during the beta and I'd be happy to keep playing.

The Division franchise is great! Still playing it.
If somebody can make another "good"so called "shooter looter mmo, than I'm in.
Try this game April 3rd
Literally just said I wonder if there are any updates on once human and this hits my recommended 🤯
It’s a sign 🪧
Yes, "maybe its not just quarterly and much more consistent and ongoing repeating" doesn't at all sound like they want to sell season passes every month.. NOT AT ALL...
They will have season passes every 2ish months. They also will and new story lines and content each season
Can we get a "season" counter on this vid please? :D I have the feeling that this is the word of the vid :D
@Force check out "The First Decendant"
how does one sign up for the beta?
How much mmo is in this.. how many people do you come across or how many friends can join your game ??
I played last beta. You can get 4K+ per sever and there is about 600+ in each world(6 worlds in each server) I ran into multiple people all the time. Don’t like the beginning area because it became crowded with people. I had up to 200ish people in one spot too. It’s fun
The Eternal Realm stuff reminds me of what Crowfall tried to do.
I hope i can into it this time. No luck so far. Looks promising.
Make sure you join the discord the pre download link will be there a few days before April 3rd
@@kallmekrissyttv thank you, i did.
@@sethael1741 awesome! I hope to see you in game!
Sounds similar to what Crowfall tried to do.
wish listed, thanks for the recommendation
Try to play the beta too
Is it really an MMO though? Or shared world?
It’s an MMO
Damn .. this couldn't be more "Undawn" even if it tried, lol
Looks like one of those games you need friends to play
Every game is better with friends, but I know a few people who played the whole last beta solo. If you need some friends let me know you can join my warband
I played it very deep into the game. It falls apart mid/end game and becomes a massive chore. I'm hoping they know what to do with the design. Although you are right it is an enjoyable mmo, but yea it fell off hard. I'm very leery of how it will go though
Probably because it’s a beta and we only got to play 33% of the whole thing. They have more but don’t want us to play everything right away.
Honestly don't know what the game is like but why can't people do this from the get go and release Raid and dungeons that are challenging and a core part of the feature not just a bullet sponge. I'll check this one out on release.
Try the next beta April 3rd
I don't think everyone knows what a Tamagotchi is nowadays @Force Gaming 😂 You and I are quite old now... haha.
For some reason, this game just isnt exciting me. But, I hope its amazing and pulls me in after launch.
Try the next beta April 3rd
At the end, you forgot Dune Awakening.
The gameplay for that is not good yet
So devision meets remnant or naw?
More like SCP foundation meets Division
When can there be a Dungeon Crawler Carl game? I need that.
Secret World vibe is kinda cool but that’s it. Overall seems like the same old thing with nothing particularly new, unique, or interesting. Seems more likely to end up a boring, pay to win, grind.
They devs said they will never add pay to win. They hate that, and when I played it it’s absolutely amazing
Is the beta only going to be on mobile?
Mobile and pc
Basically what Crowfall was trying to do it seems like.
ability skill have?
Waiting eagerly for the next beta.
April 3rd lets goooo
Looks good
sorta sounds like how crowfall had seasons or whatever they were called.
Bro says the same about every single new MMO like game that comes out. "Best looking new MMO." and when it comes out it's always the same story. "Game is bad/lacking."
Game was great. When I played I couldn’t get enough, now I’m waiting for the next beta!
Even in the beta there was a hell of a lot to do and only a quarter of the map was unlocked. The map is massive. The game could've released during the beta and I'd be happy to keep playing.
Feels like the division all over again.
Way better than the division! I didn’t like the division 1, 2 was ok, but this game is awesome!
