That copy of The Stand looks almost brand new wow. Some parts of it can be dragging but it's honestly one of my favorite King books too.
A Stand vlog would be cool! And Bookish Bethany (I believe her name is) did a video on the problematic stuff about Hidden Pictures. That was an interesting and eye-opening video.

I think The Stand is in my top 5 Stephen King books.I've read it twice, during two different winters.Episode thirteen sounds awesome.Anything found footage.
I read Episode 13 recently and I think you will enjoy it. Definitely for lovers of found footage. I need to check out Pinata. Currently reading Papillion by Henri Charriere which has been very entertaining so far and has a lot of horror elements in it simply from the descriptions of what the inmates of Devil's Island went through. I finally read What Moves the Dead and loved it. Not sure what I'll read next. Possibly a re-read of Still Life with Crows by Lincoln and Child as I am trying to get back into their Agent Pendergast series that starts with Relic.
I vote for your vlogging about the Stand. I haven't read that one either and it's one that, like you, the length is a bit intimidating.

That is the edition of The Stand that I read it was long but so interesting it was hard for me to put it down. it went by quick very worth your while. From a SK fan to another!!☠️💀
I read the stand uncut as a teen and it’s really good. I haven’t read It yet though. It’s on my list. The Fireman by Joe Hill is good hope you like it. Thanks for the video!
When I say “You Jammy cow!” I mean it in the nicest way but Wow! Some great editions there (that copy of The Stand👏) which doesn’t seem half as long as it actually is and I’m just like you, I cannot resist a copy of IT (Think I’ve got 10 now) Definitely his very best😎👍🏻
What a coincidence. I just picked up that same, mammoth version of The Stand. At 1400 pages or so, I hope to knock it out in a month.
How funny ... I was going to suggest Episode Thirteen because of something you said you liked in books.. in case you haven't read it yet I won't spoil what that is, better to discover on your own. I also read that book last month. Another 5⭐all time favorite for me!
Btw it's a lot deeper than most give credit for... or maybe people don't mention it in reviews because maybe it would spoilery.. anyway, loved that book!

I'm not sure if you've already heard of it but there was an anthology of Found footage horror stories released last year called "Found: An anthology of found footage horror stories" edited by Andrew Cull & Gabino Iglesias, I have yet to read it though so I can't say if it's any good but I will say this, the book looks like an old school VHS tape.
Weird, I just rewatched Pontypool the other day, definitley one of my favourite virus horror films. It's actually based on the book Pontypool Changes Everything by Tony Burgess which I've been meaning to read for years but still haven't gotten around to it. This was a fantastic haul and don't be intimidated by The Stand, if you read the first couple of pages it will immerse you immediately. The relationships between the survivers kinda gave me Walking Dead vibes too if that's anything to go by 🖤✨
I need to find the Dacie Coates book. Water/deep sea scares me 😬
I love how well loved all of these Stephen King books are! Some people love pristine used books but I'm all about those books with character! Okay...but even I can appreciate how pretty that version of The Stand is LOL.

Read Episode 13 last week. Read it in two days. I liked it and couldnt put it down.

The Dark Half - once you read the book the sparrows on the cover will make sense
the dark half is a very underrated read. love that it's kind of a slasher, the opening scene, where they remove thad's twin is just grotesque.
the fireman is joe's second best novel (behind only nos4a2).
I spent way too much on book retail therapy this month 😄. Pinata looks like it's going to be good. From Below was creepy and probably the least cozy of the Darcy Coates books I've read but still not in any way deeply disturbing.

I cheated with the uncut The Stand and It. I got them on audio. Each one is over 40 hours.
I also just finished one you mentioned in your winter read list. The Abominable by Dan Simmons. I wouldn't call it a horror story. But I did think it was a great book.

Oh my gosh, I read The Stand at the beginning of 2020 add to me and my mom 3 1/2 weeks to get through the audiobook and it hit a little too close to home at the time
That must have been scary, but did it make for a better experience?! I stupidly watched Contagion at the start of the pan and that was a horrible mistake 😂

From bellow is a good book and would have been perfect if it was a couple of chapters short.
i thought IT was boring dint care for the movies either. Swan Song was a better story of the apocolypse than the Stand was although both had dissapointing endings
