I've been hearing really good things about curse of the reaper. Still gotta read it though lol. If you want something for that small town fix, I wrote a collection of horror short stories set within a spooky town called Serendipity Forest. The books called DISINGENUOUS SOLACE VOLUME 1. I'd be happy to email you a free copy if you want. Awesome video btw 🖤
Curse of the Reaper sounds so original. I'm surprised no one's written a book like it before, especially since horror fans ALWAYS talk about their faves being replaced for the inevitable big budget reboots. Sounds cool.
I just finished "summer never ends" and I loved it. 1/7/24. 2:48 AM. The part where Garret gets his knees smashed......... And "santasploitation" was hilarious. Buying all of your books Judith. Your awesome. I lost my dad recently and this shit helps tremendously.
I enjoyed Curse of the Reaper a lot and agree with your assessment. You're not Supposed to Die Tonight has been on my wishlist for a while now so I am excited to dive into it soon. Currently reading The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters for a little gothic creepiness, I figure I will finish it by the time Devil's Playground drops which I am super excited for. Had not heard of Summer Never Ends or The Lake House. I might have to check those out. Great video, Mandy!
I like how " you're not supposed to die tonight" sounds. I might check that out. I'm currently reading 'the scarlet gospels' by Clive Barker. It's the follow-up to 'the hellbound heart'. So far, it does not disappoint. I would love this one to be made into a movie. If you like Hellraiser check it out
Putting "You're Not Supposed to Die Tonight" and "Curse of the Reaper" on my list. I got a feeling that the last one is taking the road of the movie "Fade to Black". I most definitely going to read "Daphne" by Josh Malerman this summer !
Excellent choices! I made note of some of these for my running list. :-) Curse of the Reaper sounds a bit like the plot from Vincent Price's "Theatre Of Blood", so I will definitely check it out! Speaking of reading - while I was perusing some old vids, I saw that you picked up Stephen King's "Danse Macabre" about a year ago. Did you get through that and what did you think? I got that years before the internet, and it was certainly my reference book to learn more about the horror genre. It's also when I realized that I like his "voice", regardless of whether he's telling a story or not.
Thank you! I get them all over from small horror shops and such. The Jaws one is actually from a shop in Martha’s Vineyard, where the movie was filmed!

Glad you enjoyed Summer Never Ends! Thank you!
Is this Judith?! Ahh thank YOU

I still need to read Clive Barker!
I'm finishing a novel called 'The Martian' by Andy Weir, and going to dive into a horror novel, preferably Space Horror 🤓
I loved that book, how did you find it?
Just bought you’re not supposed to die tonight on a whim I’m excited to get into it
Hope you love it!

Adding Curse Of The Reaper to my TBR. Sounds interesting
You're Not Supposed to Die Tonight sounds possibly inspired by or influenced by McKamey Manor... oof. Yep, would much rather read than experience 😳

Ahh sad to say I still haven’t read it, but I’ve been eyeing it a lot recently 👀
That’s the beauty of owning books - it will be right there when you are ready to pick it up!
Hi Mandy, Thanks for all your posts. Is there any demonic themed books that come to mind and you recommend? Cheers from Vancouver!
Currently reading You’re Not Supposed to Die Tonight, excited to see what happens!
Ahh yay - hope you enjoy!
I'm going to read more fictional horror books.
Where do you get your sweaters? I love them!

More books for my list.
Have you read How To Survive Your Murder??
Can you please read and explain "Humanity Lost" by Callum Stephen Diggle.
