Can’t bare the way the developers mixed Chinese Ming and Qing dynasty into one :(
Had they not done that, the Chinese army rooster units especially cavs would be far weaker.
My greatest respects to Captain Huang, he wasn't a soldier by any means but he wasn't afraid to lay down his life to protect the Emperor and the treasure fleet against that brat of a nephew.
Is that a Qing flag? They do know that the Qing and Ming were different dynasties right?
Well, I noticed the difference after I learn English, and understand about what is the story. It really look off they mix Ming with Qing. But they did the same in Age of Empire II remastered with the campaign of Vlad the Impaler, they made a campaign of his rule but never created an culture of his so it was a story about Romanians playing as Hungarians, Turks and Slavs.
I'd say they're Manchu mercenaries the Emperor's horrific nephew hired to help him raid the New World settlements, they had worn that style of clothing decades before they ever took total of China and established the Qing Dynasty.
Lao chen got a new haircut
Well, in the old one he had the Manchurian hairstyle, if I remember right, which was wrong, because that was the style imposed by Qing Dynasty, a foreign dynasty (non-Chines), and the action of this campaign took place during Ming Dynasty, the previous dynasty which was Chinese, and his new one is the Chinese ancient hairstyle.

@@sethguest781 This is what I saw in most Chinese representation be it in historical art or in the TV Shows they release, commoners most of the time had the hair tied up, well not with an ornament but tied with a cloth, or they let a full grow hair to flow down on their back. As I said, the old hairstyle of Lao Chen was an Manchurian hairstyle that was imposed on Han Chinese culture by the conquering dynasty. I saw many time that in the Western world Chinese are represented under Manchu culture, in China the youth started a movement to return to their roots and show their true culture, so they had the day of the Hanfu, the name of their national costume, and most of them wear that costume for a day
