    Jeez that’s some major hacking to get those tires to fit.

      Yeah, it was, lol, but it worked and never rubbed afterward. I took it off road, and when it was flexing, it would rub a lot. You dont need to cut as much as i did if you just want to street drive it. But you will have to remove some stuff. Just not as much lol

      @@JeepTrailsandBarbells I work in the oil field and there’s some nasty clay roads around here. I’ll probably have to trim just as much. Doing the same lift and tires on my Titan next weekend. Thanks for posting

      @XxnosmanXx you are welcome, and i understand the need for the lift and tires for your line of work. Just cut a little at a time, then check clearance. I didn't stress it, though, so i just cut as much as i needed and didn't think twice about it.

    I got my truck done over there by glenn, and had the katzkin seats put in. Currently she is on 22x12.5 and 33 tires, but im gonna go 35 when these wear out, glenn is gonna chop suey some more off my truck, looks perfect as she sits, but id like the extra rubber

      That is bad ass buddy, I'm gald you are getting it done. Your only going to love your truck more and more

      @@JeepTrailsandBarbells man I highly recommend the katzkin seats. I chose black with the laramie longhorn style design on the wings. My wife has a bmw and she says the katzkin leather is much nicer. If you post your email ill kick you some photos of the rig. Ill be going up to 35s on the next run of tires

      Also, i bought the truck for 28k with 9000 miles on it. I did the mods, and got an online appraisal for 42k cant beat that

    Dude. It literally says on rough country’s website.. for your years.. using those wheels and tires.. “some modification required using 35 12.50.

      Yeah you are right, it dose say that. I must have missed it or just didnt care to be honest, i new things would need to be trimmed but i guess i didnt consider that a "modification".

    My issue is I cut lot of liner like u but I live in Chicago and salt will go in , I will put some undercoating to the metal to prevent the rust

    • @JeepTrailsandBarbells
      @JeepTrailsandBarbells  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah in Texas we don't really have that issue, i can see how being north with them salting the roads could cause major issues.

    Man I need to do that to my 19 but gosh I don’t want to do that much trimming. Imma get 2” spacers or maybe 3”

    • @JeepTrailsandBarbells
      @JeepTrailsandBarbells  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had a rim on the black truck that was 9 inches wide with 4.5 of back spacing set, plus a 1 1/2 inch spacer. That ended up costing me a tire later down the road i have a video on it. Dont do what i did. The silver truck had oem 8 in wide rims from the factory with 2 inch spacers, almost no trimming at all compared to the black one. Be mindful of the rims you buy make 100% sure they will clear the brake caliber because the ones i bought did not and that is why i needed the spacer that forced so much trimming

      @@JeepTrailsandBarbells I’m running hostile wheels that are 35 12.5 and 22”. I rub a hair when I’m pullin in a drive way or out so I’m sure a spacer would make it worse.

      @@kylecole3352 what are you rubbing on, the plastic lining, bumper, rear plastic or pinch weld?

    • @kylecole3352
      @kylecole3352 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JeepTrailsandBarbells I believe the pinch weld cuz my fender flare has paint missing

    • @JeepTrailsandBarbells
      @JeepTrailsandBarbells  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kylecole3352 the pinch weld is behind the plastic liner, so is the inner plastic trimmed back to see the pinch weld? And is it the outer tire that is rubbing or the inner? Im guessing its the outer if its hitting close to the fender.

    You have had yours for a while. You think the kicker braces are needed?

    • @JeepTrailsandBarbells
      @JeepTrailsandBarbells  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are planning on wheeling it hard, yes they do make the front end more ridged. But if you are just light trail riding and mainly street use, no not really needed.
      I wish i still had them 😔 i did love them trucks. Broke mine and my wifes hearts to have to give them up. Covid was some pretty damn hard times thats for sure.

      @@JeepTrailsandBarbells I appreciate the info. Very light off roading. Mostly just to get to camps or 4 wheeler trails.
      Sorry to hear that. Hopefully things change. FJB

      @CanAMXMR hey, happy to help. If there's anything else you have questions about, feel free to ask. I'll do my best to help. Yeah, we recovered from it, we got older jeeps because thats what we could afford. And yes, 1000% FJB
