Thankyou. The only video on these old tab reel starters. I got it -mostly but you do it logically and easily. 50+ years on an old Eatons B&S with little maintenance, no reason to give up now!
Thanks for this my guy. Just acquired a 1973 2hp Briggs and Stratton edger. Broke the starter rope trying to start it. I may just use the same rope even tho it'll be shorter.

Did you change the size of the rope because the one I have is almost impossible to get through that small hole
