- Ultraviolette has been in the EV business since a while now with the F77 spearheading the brand name. This time around there are updates on offer. Called the Mach 2 and the Mach 2 Recon, Varun Painter heads to Bengaluru to experience the latter and tries to make sense of where the updated product really is. Better performance, regen, traction control and a lot of things on tap. Here’s a quick download.

I recently taken my f77 for service and their service were so good than i expected❤❤
Why so many comments here seem like generic comments or bots. No doubt this bike deserves praise..but this is not the correct way to build reputation. UV if you are listening, just put a type 2 or better CCS2 on this bike and it will sale like hotcake.. It's got everything correct now apart from that charging limitation.

I actually think there are two forces at play here. On one side a bunch of EV haters and their colourful comments 😅.. vs.. the EV community and other side trying to compensate..
The Quality of service we expect as a consumer....so these guys are nailing it

Would love to see PD doing an extensive test on this mach 2 . That Would help buyers . Have watched your previous video on Ultraviolette f77 .
Not exactly sure how aggressively is the performance degraded to save battery. How each mode impacts range . What would be the best way to use different modes in different situations like city/traffic/long ride and extract best range what's those true range figures . What about heating issue , when does it get heated , how long does it take to cool , how does that impact etc .
We don't get to experience these in a short city test ride and there aren't owners whom people can contact.

We would like to see a day-long ride review from a city (Mumbai/Pune) to the Ghats in Maharashtra, as it would mostly cover all the parameters to be tested.
As soon as possible
It’s simple.
First, how long till the presence of Ultraviolet spreads from just Bangalore to the rest of India.
Second, how and what is the things that will be different for servicing of EVs(could be an entire video tbh).
Third, how will things affect these EVs with third-party aftermarket accessories

We weren’t doing a range test because this was a first ride.
How can someone not argue about rear wheel arch gap, I think when HD 440 was launched everyone was after them for this thing in particular

@@powerdriftofficial i m okay with the current range (300+) for ADV , price is great too (compare to same range EV like zero) , but this riding ergonomics (aggressive) I don't like or I should say suits me
Picked this last week in Astroid Grey and I'm absolutely loving it!
One thing i want to really know about efficiency if we use regen it charges the battery so more range if no regen i can cruse for much longer so more milage so which is better 😂😂
Ride it from banglore to Pune or something similar. Find out if can it tour. What are the challenges. Positives. Etc etc

Does the regenerative braking light up the rear brake light? If not, can we ask them to implement that? Any vehicle behind wouldn't be aware that the vehicle is braking hard. Hyundai Ioniq 5 had that issue and was fixed later in Ioniq 6. Could someone let me know if the light already works?😅

I live in Bengaluru till date I haven't seen a single one on road, 1 or 2 can be occasionally seen on olx that's about it
Its a quality product thats why its expensive..not everyone can own it

Why do electrics use smaller sprocket on motor, while bigger sprocket on wheel? (Like traditional IC engine)
Electric motors have linear torque from get go. It should be other way around, (like cycle)
So you don't have to rev it higher and consume more watts.
IC engines use smaller sprocket because peak torque is really high on rev range.
So it's 40kg heavier than a Duke 390 and 2 seconds slower to 100. Excellent!
Ummm!
390 is the one best of the motorcycles.. but remember not everything is about straight line speed and rpm revving and getting the gearshift spot on to make that 0-100 number. This is new tech and it is completely different. It's like sitting on a bolt of lightning with the trigger in your hand, a wave of electrons, a completely different experence. Take a test ride and you'll know what I mean.
Ride it compare it with dude 390 n do atleast 10 drag race between the two from 100 meters to half mile
One thing about EVs - no resale. Facing it myself.

Not sure if it really sells decent numbers. You can get a Duke 390 for lesser than that, AND the Duke can eat this for lunch without batting an eyelid. Cost of running? When it's time to change the battery we will know true running cost. I think it makes sense if u fancy a silent bike.
It's a completely different experience. I sold my Rc390 to get the f77. It's not just numbers reported on paper.. the torque is so instant it is available all the time. My 390 I would only rev up on certain occassion to get max power. This is totally different. Take a long test ride and you'll know the difference
I want to see a proper comparison, no not about the performance, but practicality.

@@powerdriftofficial anything with 200cc. No point in comparing with duke 390 or the sorts right. It's electric so that mains it can be a daily commuter as well as a weekend stress buster, along with very low running costs. A person who rides a lot will make it worth the extra cost in the long run. That's what I want to know, I don't know who else have this thought.
TLDR.
Compare it with any 200cc bike as a regular commuter and weekend stress buster. Most people I know take their 200cc daily to office, then go on short trips in weekend. How does Mach 2 fare against this.

I want to import this bike to the U.S but ultraviolette doesn't' meet the standards for import yet it would make it easier if they just came to the U.S
They've started in EU. I think The US is next on their "radar" 😂

What about heating issues after 150+ it trips to 100 because of motor getting over heated 😊
We did not face any issues here but in the past, the F77 did shift to a lower mode

On the F77. Switch to ballistic and twist the throttle.. everytime.. not even a fair comparison
