@IamShaunnaNakice First things first for anyone reading this...I am no iSheep... I recommended by sister to buy these Beats in the hope the manufacturing quality is high. My first pair of Airpods (bought in February 2020) had a rattle in the right ear... I took them to Apple, who immediately replaced them (in November 2022)... The contact charging points in the charging case needs regular cleaning, as do the contact points on the headphones... The Airpod Pros have easily been value for money - especially when using a Bluetooth adaptor to use Airpods when flying.
Worth pointing out that you can set ‘long press’ on Studio Buds to adjust volume (left for volume up and right for down or vice versa) though you obviously lose voice assistant and noise cancellation control. So you can control volume without having to touch phone or watch. Also something I discovered quite by accident which must have sneakily arrived in an update with no warning - the Studio Buds can now ‘scrub’ forwards and backwards through tracks - double ‘push’ and hold or triple ‘push’ and hold respectively. I think these things are good to know …… 😊
I got my AirPods Pro 2 at Micro Center for $194, but I do like the translucent colorway of those Beats buds. Here's hoping that the late 90s see-through tech fad makes a comeback.
A LOT of people after launch touted these as a cheaper alternative to AirPods Pro. They each have ANC, transparency mode, great audio quality, water resistance, silicone ear tips, but also boast longer battery life, Android support, and USB-C. Would Apple be the ones to finally create a better set of headphones than AirPods Pro at a more affordable price?! I disagreed with many that said yes.
Exactly. If people had half a brain cell, they'd realize that it makes zero sense for Apple to market earbuds @ $169 that outperform their own $249 pro buds. Especially when they sell every single Airpods Pro they make. Why would Apple shoot themselves in the foot. If these buds were made by a different company, they yeah this comparsion might be valid. I just think its comical when TH-cam reviewers make content like this.
Here's the thing about ANC, it's only effective if the earbuds actually maintain a good seal with your ears. The original Airpod Pros, no matter what size eartips I use, always gradually loosen up as I wear them, negating a lot of the noise cancelling effect. I think it is due to the stem design that hangs out of your ear. Earbuds like the Beats buds that are more spherical in shape and just tend to fill the open part of your ear rather than hang out of it seem to maintain a better seal for me.
Beats Studio Buds+ are on sale right now at Target, Costco, and Amazon for $129. At Costco that includes $29 Apple Care+ for free! I just got a pair yesterday and I love them so far. I had AirPods Pro and they were very impressive sound wise, but did not fit my ears well. I prefer the Beats Studio Buds+ based on fit and the controls. I like the button better than the stem.
The Beats SB+ don’t bill that they have the adaptive noise canceling, but they actually do. I’ve had them shut out noise from a hand dryer in the bathroom and plenty of other abrupt loud noises as well.
ALso worth pointing out that the Beats buds Plus do have "adpative transparency" you just dont have the option to activate/deactivate it but its kind of built in. You can test this by turning on transparency mode and then clap next your ears, you will notice that it then activates its passive noise cancelling on that earbud, and it goes back to transparency after 3 seconds, so yes it does kind of thave a built in adaptive transparency.
I’ve been torn between these two earphones for quite some time! I adore the design and transparent color of the Beats. Initially, I purchased the Beats because of their sleek appearance and how well they fit in the ear. However, I ended up returning them due to my dislike for the buttons-you had to push them into your ear to play or pause the music. Another reason was the lack of sensors when removing the earphones from your ears. I wish they had a tap feature instead of physical buttons and an automatic play/pause sensor. Unfortunately, I ultimately chose the AirPods Pro 2, despite the higher price tag, because they offer all the features I desired.
Nobody in history has ever successfully used multipoint switching. The only workflow is to try to use it for a couple days and realize it’s impossible to consistently get audio from the device you want.
I want the beats because of the transparency. 🤣 The 90’s callback has sold me in the aesthetic but I really want amazing noise cancellation and sound quality which I think AirPods leans into.

The video is incorrect about auto switch between devices with studio buds plus. It requires manual switching. Some people prefer that because auto switching can switch when you didn’t want to, like when going to certain websites.
I bought pro 2 for $199 few months after they launched. Even now they are on sale at Amazon. If these beats are anything like beats on ear headphones, they probably have more bass but lot less soundstage and clarity.
“Studio” has always been the high-end line. AirPods 3 lack ANC, ear tips, transparency mode, and other shared features. The Beats Fit Pro are more expressive, but not necessarily the highest end. They just are more sporty for fitness. I think a lot of people would be considering these as a cheaper alternative to AirPod Pro since they have so many shared features.

I own the AirPods Pro 1st gen, purchased 4 years ago. They had to be replaced under Apple Care after 1.5 years because they had an issue with one of the transparency mics. One year later after the replacement AGAIN! Same issue, but this time no warranty or Apple Care. Ok, so at that point I had no transparency mode or ANC, I thought, ok, who cares, let's just use them like normal AirPods. Then the mic on the left bud broke for calls. I had to go to settings and set the mic for always right AirPod... so far so good... then a few months ago the right driver broke and now crackles on certain frequencies at higher volume. No way am I going to buy AirPods Pro again, for the price they should not break so easily and in so many ways. I'm giving the Beats a try now
The microphones aren’t that great on the beats fit pro. Similarly they’re using the H one chip and Bluetooth 5.0. They were not a killer. They were just a good earbud. They also didn’t have wireless charging. Hopefully the second generation beats fit pro will address some of those. The AirPods Pro, second generation, use the H2 chip and Bluetooth 5.3.
I’m increasingly starting to think beats exists as a excuse for Apple designers to go nuts with unique designs since they are forced to stick to the fitting Apple designs on the mainline products

I think these should be compared to the similarly priced AirPods 3rd Gen. even though the beats have more features than the 3rd gen they’re nowhere close to the Pro’s. I think that’s the best way for the Beats Studio Buds + to shine in their price point.
So two things. First, a lot of people are considering these as a more cost friendly alternative to the Pros. They have almost all the same features like ANC, transparency, silicone eartips, spatial audio, Find My, great audio quality, IPX4 resistance, plus they have better battery life, Android support, and USB-C. Second thing is AirPods Pro 2 regularly are priced at $199, making them only $30 apart from these. With so many shared features and a similar retail price at the moment, I think this is a good comparison compared to the AirPods 3 that are only similar in price.
