I can’t get over how quickly Violet is growing up and how expressive she already is for her age! And George and James just keep getting bigger and bigger too!
I don’t think any of us are in any position to tell you guys what to do but I can say I would definitely not want to ever live in FL. I’m in GA and that’s as close as I ever want to be. Too hot. Too many scary animals. Disney is fun but I think it would get boring after a while. Plus there’s no guarantee it will stay in FL with the way it’s going between them and their governor LOL!

September, October and November are good months to. Should have to experience a hurricane or the events leading up to or the devastation after. It's not all sunshine and roses or Disneyland.

I've lived in Florida a couple times. Several years right by Disney. The tourists will drive you crazy and crime is higher. The heat there is completely different than what you have in the desert. I agree will those saying to invest in a 2nd home there if you can afford it so you can visit and keep the magic alive

Did Dallin ever go back to school for counseling, maybe getting busy within yourself with that would help. Going biking, hiking and skiing more might help. Let Ashley be a homebody gardening lady and Dallin get more action doing outdoor sports.

If you move here (to Florida) remember there are hurricanes from May to November. It's hot from April to December- hot as in hell, humid too. I've lived in florida for 8 and a half years- only seen an alligator that wasn't in a wildlife park, once in a pond/small lake near where I live. I have lots of fruit and vegetable plants I grow all year long. We only have like a week worth of cold days (never need a winter coat cold though) and always remember alligators can be in any body of wager anywhere.

Buy a vacation home in FL. This way you can stay as long as you want, and not get sick of it, then rent it out as an air B&B when you're not there to help with the mortgage! ( I watch too many house hunter shows 😂)

I completely understand Dallin's longing to move to FL. I too suffer from this condition; I blame it on being a military kid, and then spouse. I'm currently in Boston, but wish to move somewhere warmer. I look longingly at real estate on-line. If you don't go and try it out, you'll regret it! You can always go back to UT; it's not going anywhere! 🙂

Love the video!! I absolutely love how much violet is talking, it seems like just a couple weeks ago she was saying her first words and now she loves to talk and she definitely knows what she wants and doesn’t want. She so sweet!!
You guys might have to get another RV or Motorhomes, with how much Dalin likes to explore and be on the move. That way you have your home and can have the comfort that Ashley likes but a Motorhomes will give Dalin the adventure that he wants. But definitely get a class A gas in my opinion my boyfriend and I have been looking at the Forest River Georgetown class A the ones with 2 full bathrooms it’s awesome.
    Love all your videos

I am with Dallon (spelling?) in that I completely understand that feeling of getting bored. We have moved often as a family, and as someone who left Florida, came back for family, and am trying to leave again… Florida charm absolutely wears off, and all the things on the positive list are getting smaller, while the things on the negative list are growing. Like, traffic is growing, cost of living is growing, it has been getting hotter, etc. the benefits like Disney and beaches get lesser because it becomes harder to visit as traffic becomes a serious barrier, natural beauty is being lost to development, and the parks are more packed every year as population grows.
When I moved here back in 2008, Florida was very different then than what it is now. What it is now is frustrating and it took me coming back to really see that clearly and be able to fully be over this state.
I absolutely understand wanting to leave, but I also understand the impact it will have on the kdis to leave their rooms they have made so special, and the garden Ashley has grown. I left those things with our last house and it still makes me sad. Don’t do what I did and go to Florida just to get sick of it and want to leave and uproot our yet again.
The downside is our families are here, and we deeply dislike it here. It bothers me very much that everyone is here and refuses to leave because they are comfortable. If I could have family elsewhere we all liked, I would stay.

Maybe it's time for an RV again 😊 That's what my family is thinking of doing with my need to move to Florida ( no one else in my family is interested in moving to Florida...lol) I figure at least instead of buying a second home somewhere which I will probably get bored of in a few years, this will enable us to go everywhere whenever I'm antsy and school is on break 😊

    • @Lonesomelane-58
      @Lonesomelane-58 ปีที่แล้ว

Better investigate the RV park availability. Just a word of advice. They are few and far between as far as vacancies. In the winter also northern people live in the parks then. I live here and we can't get a Reservation most we have are a year away. Unless it's one of the out of the way places in the area I live, which isn't close to any attractions for families seeking entertainment. We go for relaxation.

  • @kristiphillips7783

I know money doesn't grow on trees but maybe invest in a home that you can split your time up in, instead of 100% moving until sure? Maybe not in Disney per say but close like a halfway spot between Disney and a beach (either east coast beach or Gulf coast beach). You can always air B&B a home when not there. I know that is not for everyone but just a thought to keep some income coming in while deciding. Florida has so much to offer such as natural springs that people love and so on so an area close to EVERYTHING within a hour or so drive in either direction would be amazing for you two as an investment.

I love how wholesome you are! The children are growing up fast. As for Florida, buy a holiday home and rent it out when you're not there. It'll be better & might just help with scratching that itch to move. You'll just be able to take off! Just a thought as long as you take us with you, you could move anywhere xxx

  • @GinaBrittCo

Ugh I feel the same about wanting to move all the time and needing stimulation. It’s gotten better but I thought if you had a family that would change. Nice to hear everyone experiences it to some extent regardless of circumstances. Maybe there’s an in between. Instead of moving maybe renting out the house for 6 months and moving to Airbnb half the year or taking a long Vacay. Goodluck with the journey xo

No. You need to REALLY investigate the real estate market number one. It's crazy. Two check into our situation with home owner insurance it has escalated to the point of unaffordable. Some areas the insurance for a year has exceeded $10,000. I have family in Northern Florida and we live two hours from any beach, but since Hurricane Ian hit the Tampa/Clearwater/St. Pete area and destroyed millions and millions of dollars of home, insurance companies are pulling out of Florida and many has filed for bankruptcy.
My sister in laws insurance went from $800 to $4,000 and they are demanding she has a new roof which is in excess of $25,000. Her home is 5 years old. She lives on a fixed income and even if she sold her home with the real estate market prices she could not afford to buy. One bedroom apartments are renting for $2,000 and up.
This old world has lost its mind.
Just a prospective from a Floridian who has lived here for over 52 years.
    Good Luck.

You could do a Vacation home style in Florida. That way when you need that change for a few months you scratch that itch. Pro's you won't have to find a hotel everytime you want to take the kids to disney. You wont have to pack so many items when you fly. You will literally have a second home away from home. Granted I do not know your financials. It is entirely up to you to decide if that is right for your family.

I am 61 years old and I have lived in Florida for 58 years. I have live in several places in Florida. Central and South Florida are just crime and conmen. I have lived in north Florida for the last 27 years and love it. I have a nice one and a third acres homestead. Lots of fruit trees, chickens and a vegetable garden. Central and South Florida you can't have that in Lots of it. If you want to move here to Florida, get a few acres to fulfill your self sufficient needs. In North Florida you will only be a couple of hours from Disney. If you live in the center of north Florida you will be less than two hours from the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. In the center of the state you are less likely to get hit by a hurricane. I have never seen a tornado here. It does get very hot, humid and we do have big bugs. But I grow almost all year long. I have a food forest and vegetables and sometimes chickens. I won't live without my Homestead life.

Shhhhh don't encourage any more people to come here. I live in Northern Florida, twenty miles from the Georgia line. It's gotten crazy here with the influx of people moving in. Our local DMV won't take care of anyone unless you live in that county and it's a state agency. I live withing 25 miles of three little towns different counties and it's a mess here. They plainly tell you it's due to the new residents moving into the state. I liked my quiet little town just fine. No malls, no Cost Co or Sam's club or department stores. Thank goodness. If you desire one it's two hours away. Which I don't. My local small town grocer is great and my garden and my chickens are all I need.

Here’s my take on moving- I believe you guys are home schooling correct? You could do that absolutely anywhere. But taking kids away from their friends would be so hard. We don’t homeschool and I told my husband once our kids are in school we are not moving unless we stay in the same district. But not my kids have friends on our block and I absolutely love having friends that are neighbors. Being able to hang out together in the summer. I’ve always wanted to be around friends. So now we have to stay in the same neighborhood if we move 😂 so a lot of our roots where we are our kids roots. But i personally would love to be in the middle of no where just sitting on the porch drinking tea and counting cars that drive by haha

My son lives in Davenport- and is an expert All.Things.Disney master😂😂😂 if you want tips on the best way to navigate the parks, just ask him! It will save you wear and tear. Haha

Florida is an amazing vacation location, but I would not live there again. Too hot and humid, hurricanes, tourist,
and crowded. Oh, lots of huge bugs.

Keep your beautiful home. Rent in Florida for a year. That may do it. Totally different world.

Okay if you move to Florida, don’t move to Orlando! Look into south Florida, there’s a new train that goes straight to Orlando in like 2 hrs. I live in Jupiter Florida! Look into it!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I think he needs some counseling to find other ways to channel his wanderlust. It's hard to put down roots and make lifelong friends when you're always moving. You have some kind of anxiety problem.

I don't mean to be discouraging, however, have you ever heard of hurricanes? Not Hurricane, Utah, mind you! You're in an ideal spot now! Southern Utah is fascinating and beautiful! If you would rather live in a hot, humid, sea level place filled with mosquitos, roaches and flies, and live with mold, mildew, rust and sour, musty odors, by all means, go to Florida!. If you would rather deal with snakes, alligators and pythons in the backyard instead of gambel quail, roadrunners, and bobcats, go to the Sunshine State! If you're young & adventurous, and want to make life a grand learning experience for the whole family; and live life to the fullest, for heaven's sake, move wherever your hearts desire, as many times as you want! I love your precious family wherever y'all are!
