True. Stationary in a rear engined car that needs forward motion for efficient engine cooling. Let's rev it repeatedly and overheat the engine, then they act surprised when it catches fire. It seems like stupidity is more rampant than Covid 19.

Apparently a smart Italian guy made a fortune off picking up pieces of rare Ferraris including fenders, nuts & bolts, engine parts like oli filters.
288 GTO - The apex of the Top 5 Ferraris,.
This smart hombre attended 3 to 5 Ferrari 288 GTO smashes.
He picked up every he claims he 'legally" could.
Being clever he kept these parts for at least 20 years.
Ferrari only made 273 288 GTO's. They stopped making parts for them 20 years ago, This guy would approach Ferrari smash repair specialists in North America and sell them for outrageous prices e,g. An original oil cylinder for $8 k US.
He claims he made about $US150,000 and sold one part, the rear fender for close too 100k.
These Ferrari 288 GTO owners all want original parts for their cars as their value depreciates wildly if it's not original.
E.g. A low mileage 288 GTO can sell for mote than $US4 million !

Fire extinguisher wont help (experience) the good things to know: - do not rev it to hot standing still
- get the recalls done at dealarship (Aventador)
- keep it clean inside the engine bay
- get service on time and at trusted places

Every single one of these idiots believe they're starring in a Fast & Furious flick. You actually need to learn to drive a powerful sports car, it takes months and even years to master it, is not easy and it definitely is not for everyone.
Italian sports cars, specially high end ones are extremely delicate, you need to know the machine before you rev the engine like a lunatic just to look cool and you also need to know about HP and its torque vs weight of the vehicle, if its rear, front or full wheel drive.... there're a lot of little details you need to know about a supercar or a muscle car.
I owned a high end alfa 156 Q4 V6, its a baby compared with a ferrari... and already tricky
If you are Not used to rear wheel Drive and deactivate esp etc. Then you end Up on TH-cam lol :)

he was trying to do a drift u-turn. You can tell. That is why they turned so sharply, but instead of doing amazing u-turn around camera man, the car was going too fast, lost traction, and slid instead.
those are some good points! I do quite a bit of drifting myself so it didn’t make a lot of sense to me. I could definitely see corded tires and camber causing major traction loss tho

No, if you drift your car and it crashes, insurance won't pay for it.
Ask someone who owns a Lambo or Ferrari what their insurance runs. Just ask what one payment costs. They pay. If they don't, they're just wannabees trying to look flush with the cash buying a hot car, but can't put gas in it or pay for upkeep or insurance.
Sometimes you can go to those insurance sites for a free estimate (insurance calculator). Put in a supercar type, your age and see what you get.
Insurance companies are smarter than that, they make the average joe pay to make profits and make more profits from these suckers that don't know what to do with their money: It's as simple as stating in the insurance contract that damages out of reckless driving are not covered (that's in written in small print of course)
Personally i think if u got enough money to pay for a supercar, rich douchebags dont pay for insurance they run the cost of whatever dmg there is, tho they might have insurance it is probobly very low cost

Btw also for atleast some of these cars accidents, just a scratch with a simple pain job is enough likely, why arent they just sold with plastic exterior instead of metal, as the car is alot less heavier beside the engine, which is ofc easy to counter with something of greater weight in the back if the need araises
With simple plastic exterior its basically just a exterior part switch and onto next disaster, they and their deadly weaponry

Why would anyone buy one of these supercars? They can't be used for what they are designed for on a public road, (ie High speed).
You can't go over any bumpy places or they fall to bits. They only carry two occupants. They are tremendously expensive. The insurance companies probably wouldn't cover most of these smash-ups. Maybe the Rolls Royce could be useful for weddings.
Far better off with a Toyota Corolla. Five occupants. They do the speed limit easily. Cheap to run. And best of all, nobody laughs at you when you prang it up!!!
