  • I picked up this bow for my 10yr old son. I wanted something that was adjustable for me to get him set up with no bow shop assistance. I wanted a bow that he could grow with for several years to come until he's ready for an upgrade. This bow has been excellent for him to shoot.
Since he's only 10 he doesn't have a lot of muscle so a bow that can adjust to a really light poundage was a must. The draw length is very adjustable as well. I didn't want to start him out with a cheaper setup when I could get the compound bow and have a setup that will last a long time.
I did notice a mistake when describing the adjustments on the modules, i meant to say inches when i said pounds for the draw length. But i think you get it.

It is so nice to see a kid enjoying time outside with his father instead of sitting inside playing an archery video game! Good job Dad!

Unscrew the stabilizer and install it through the hole on the wrist sling

The string stop is out way to far. Adjust it in till it’s about a credit card width from touching the string.

Holy cow, I totally missed that in my excitement to shoot it. I looked at the manual and actually found where it states the string stop should be removed when using the B and C settings. Thank you

Woah, that's wild! I heard that the string stop should be touching the string slightly at all times to stop it from "hopping". I personally shoot a diamond infinite edge pro. I put a Drop away I got new at a garage sale for $5 and it turned out to be $95 new lol. Then I went and found a trophy ridge 5 pin for like 7$ at walmart on a rollback or weird sale or mistake haha. Then I got her all dialed in, took it to a shop and had them max out the poundage, it shoots 74.5lbs at 28.5 inches. Which I feel is pretty great actually 😁. So, all in all, I recieved the bow as a gift a few years back, kept the extra sight and release that it came with for backup, and have been solidly hunting and shooting for under $20. My one complaint is the string stretches and twists a ton, even after probably 1000+ shots, it still has rotation issues with the peep sight. On the side note, I also picked up about 40 arrows from walmart when they priced matched their lowest price online and got $7.50 cent arrows for $1.25 a piece. I'm probably down to 30 now, but I'd say I'm alright for a while haha

That's awesome! It's a good bow. I can't wait to see my son practice this year and see his improvements. The trophy ridge 5 pin was a good call. Thanks for watching!

Shorter arrows would possibly make it a bit more accurate and also make it hit the target stronger

Since it was my son's first year shooting I went with those longer youth arrows and didn't modify them for safety purposes. They were about 2 in longer for him than doing a true arrow measurement. Now in 1 yr he's put on 2 in but I'm going to get his arrows accurate because he's coming off hunting age now, 12yds old. Thanks for watching.

What "budget bow" do you recommend for adults?

This is the cheapest bow I've ever purchased. I wanted this one because I like the bowtech /diamond archery brands, plus it can grow with my son. If you're just starting out and not sure, this can be a great option.
