Talk about one of the most emotional episodes Star Wars has brought. In regards to non animation watchers being confused, my family has been able to follow along without needing too much input from me as to relevance of scenes. They have enjoyed the series right along with me.
my buddy who hasnt seen rebels said he didn't have an issue because they talked about in episode 3 and 4 how the purgill migration patterns where what the map was showing so it tracked, plus the small comment about ezra and thrawn in this episode made it easy enough to track. i feel like its easy to underestimate efficient story telling when you have the backstory yourself but this has all made enough sense to people outside the animated fans
This episode was absolutely incredible. One of the best Star Wars things I’ve ever seen. Seeing a live action recreation of The Clone Wars and seeing Hayden as Anakin as well as a live action young Ahsoka and Rex was all something I’ve wanted to see for as long as I can remember and it was handled unbelievably well. I hope we see more things like this. I’d love to see a live action Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka and Rex talking. As a massive Star Wars fan, this was everything I’ve ever wanted to see and more.
I think this wasn't in her head, Anakin brought her to world between worlds somehow, that's why she wasn't showing in the radar and Anakin knew things like when she says "I won't fight you" and he says "i've heard that before" referencing his duel with Luke.
@@SithList also just a cool little detail ... anakin was able to save someone from dying ... I know he saved luke ... but this was a little different ...
During the scene, seeing the helmet of Darth maul horns on Mandalore was crazy and seeing Rex 😱 I really thought it was going to show the flashback scene of Darth Maul, Ahsoka and Bo katan
Btw, did you know that according to “Bespin Bulletin” there was a fight scene shot between Anakin (as Hayden Christensen) and Ahsoka (as Savannah Steyn instead of Ariana Greenblatt, at least for that scene) on Mustafar in an alternate-reality-like setting during the "world-between-world like" moments, which they said was cut from the actual episode? In that scene Anakin would have showed her that she couldn't have changed his fate to become Vader even if she were there at that point, which would have taken away a lot of her guilt of her not having been there and not being able to save him, resulting in the now more light-hearted Ahsoka. They cut that scene, maybe cause it wasn't really a memory and/or cause Anakin's message/lesson was a different one? Though I still hope they would release it as a separate video on YT or sth like that, cause I would really like to see what that scene (and Savannah Steyn as Ahsoka) would have looked like and it also explains a bit better imo why Ahsoka is more enlightened and happy at the end.
This was brilliant. Baylon in last episode was clearly reading her thoughts/concerns & throwing them in her face to unbalance her in the fight (which worked). Anakin is helping her come to grips with these feelings about being a child soldier & about him becoming Vader. He also at least initially fights a lot like Baylon did (preparing her for how to counter him)
"One is never too old to learn, snips". He was 45 when he died. Ahsoka is 47. To me, the lesson he was teaching her was the difference between surviving and living. It was the last lesson he learned, from Luke, when he was her age. From the moment he betrayed Ahsoka, she's been surviving, and her purpose, her conviction, gone. She's got no friends, family or companions around her, no attachment, just as a Jedi should be. But Ahsoka is no Jedi, and like Anakin said he's now passed on the final lesson he learned to her, even what he learned in his final moments. And then as he's smiling and remembering about his last lesson by Luke, she says, "I won't fight you" and he chuckles, because that's also what Luke said to him before that last fight. When his heart was full of rage and darkness that fight is what brought him back. So he turns on his lightsaber, and gets ready to pass that on to her. You live, truly live, or you die just like he did when he became Vader. Just surviving is as good as death. At least that's my take on it.
As expected, a great reaction, Iraj, Les, and Randy. Actually, I'm absolutely certain that where Ahsoka was, was The World Between Worlds (it was no illusion or dream, because Jacen heard it in real time)...but, within 1 portal that Anakin specifically opened for her...notice how there were no portals visible?...Anakin caught her fall, resting her on the floor...then, gave her the last bit of training and counseling she needed to become what she is meant to be...a Jedi Mystic Of The Force. Now, I gotta say: I'm very hopeful and intrigued to see the unfolding of Jacen Syndulla's life history in The SWU...for him to already possess the nascent, untrained Force abilities he's displaying (Reverse Force Echo, Force E.S.P., and Force Transfer so his Mother can hear what he's hearing) at only age 10, makes him already an important figure in The Mandoverse, going forward. I'd love for him to be a Jedi; but, because I want him to remain somewhat unique in the grand scheme of things, AND due to the truly shoddy, lackluster writing decisions of The Sequel Trilogy, I'd much prefer Jacen to become an ace pilot (like Hera), a member of The New Republic Auxiliary Militia, a follower of The Church Of The Force (headed by Lor San Tekka), a self-trainer in some of The Jedi Arts (with some strong instruction, guidance, and pointers from the likes of Luke, Leia, Ahsoka, Ezra, Sabine, Grogu, Cal, and the ethereal presence of Kanan/Caleb), and a great friend, ally, and protector of The Jedi (esp. Luke's New Jedi Order) and other Force-sensitives in the galaxy. This way, We'll be comforted to know that it is he (and his Mom, possibly) that is piloting The Ghost about 25 years later, in Episode IX (unless, HALLELUJAH, The ST is severely retconned). Yes, next episode, We will be officially in a new galaxy, far, far away...can't wait to see it, and what insane Force powers Ezra has tapped in to, in this otherworldly place, after 10 years. Things are never gonna be the same in Star Wars again, Gentlemen... Take care Guys. May The Force Be With You...

More than that, though, as much as I like that Rosario got the role, I've been a big fan of hers since the movie "Kids" and I can't help but see Rosario more than I see Ahsoka. Randy never enjoys theStar Wars episodes because he looks at them through as a cynic. It's in a galaxy far far away: similar to once upon a time. It's a fairy tale. If you look at it through the lens of the real world you won't enjoy the wonderful story telling.
Right! I tell him that all the time. Loosen up Randy! Haha, he has enjoyed this season though. I think sometimes he balances Les and I out, we’re so happy and excited to have Star Wars content that sometimes we have blinders on.
the complaining about hera bringing jacen to places by everyone is dumb, she herself was raised in wars, every padawan we ever see to is literally a child soldier as well ezra luke leia where all just a few years older than him when we seen them fighting, anakin in episode 1 during the podrace too people need to stop putting real life planet earth responsibility onto these characters
Are you talking about the actual Ahsoka scenes that we cut away from and bring back? The reason why we keep it in that box is that we get copyrighted by TH-cam and they won’t let us publish the episode. I’ve tried making it just a little bit bigger and they cut us off. Thanks so much! It sure was pure Filoni!
Dave Filoni...mic drop.....
👍!
👍
And proves another point, If Ahsoka had gone to Mustafar, She could have saved Anakin and Padmé!!!
That’s the heartbreaking part for of it all.
I agree 100%. We were just messing around about that, plus choppers right there to kill whoever comes close.
Please remember that some of us ONLY have phones as our connection to the world.
Could you not enlarge the actual vision so I can see it?!.
Thanks.
Are you talking about the actual Ahsoka scenes that we cut away from and bring back? The reason why we keep it in that box is that we get copyrighted by TH-cam and they won’t let us publish the episode. I’ve tried making it just a little bit bigger and they cut us off. I’m so sorry that, it’s difficult for you to see. I appreciate you trying to watch along with us.
