At the 8:00 mark, be careful putting your hands on a blade then applying the impact tool!! If that block of wood jumped out of there, you could get a nasty cut or two!! Other than that, pretty good video. I have a Cub Cadet LT1050, was wondering what all the differences were between it and the LTX1050?? I did see that that the LTX1050 has a single bar in front of the deck, and has that extra bar on the right rear side of the deck to keep it located. Mine has a "double" bar in front of the deck that is shaped like a "U", and attaches to two points on the front of the deck. I am sure that there are other differences as well, but that was all I could see in this video.
THANKS BUDDY !!!! ...Just spent over an hour trying to get the deck back on ...been off for over a week waiting for belts ...also I'm 74 ...short memory ...2 minutes on your video and I saw what I was doing wrong .only thing I'm not sure of is the spring on the clutch ..I think I found a little notch on the frame that looks like where it belongs...(BTW replaced the drive belt also ...what a b*tch that was) ...nonetheless...THANK YOU for taking the time to put this video out
It is easier to slide the deck out if you lift the deck arms to the top after disconnecting them at the deck. Thanks for the video, I learned that I am missing a rear control arm!!
Thank you for the realistic example of what is involved. I hate those... ''look how easy it is'' versions made by manufacturers.
Great video, lookig forward to getting my deck off and spruced up!
What model year is this?
Whew!. . Hope you don't repair for a living....

You are correct the blades while not very sharp could pose a risk wearing some hand protection would be advisable
Thanks for going through the process and showing what needs to be disconnected. Nice touch throwing out the bolt sizes 👍
Great instructions. Even in the low light. Verbal directions were spot on. Thanks.

Very good video! Thank you. Sharing the nut and bolt sizes was great.
thanks solid video w/ good camera shots and infos. super helpful subbed.
Not necessary to remove both bolts on the belt guard. Thanks for the video, though!
Thank you!
Thank you my man! Helps a lot!
good video man
Super helpful man! I look forward to replacing the blades on mine now haha
Keep it up man!
Thank you!
The nuts under the deck that hold the blades are stripped now what?
The standard MTD nut hardware is readily available. Check on ebay. You can find them in sets of 2 or 3.
you may have to heat them red hot and/or use a good pipe wrench
Standard size socket should be about a 15/16. Good video
