I have to go with the Engl. For the last 15 years my main amp was a triple rec. I bought the Engl Fireball 25 about a month ago. Hell of a amp. It's now my main amp. I wish I would have tried them sooner.
I have a 100 w 51503 evh and I love that amp but I am impressed with the engl just the fact that I think it has a clear attack might have to get one in the future....great vid bro
Just got a Fireball 100 earlier this week and it sounds amazing with my Marshall 1960B loaded with V30 & K100 in an X pattern. Sounded better to me through this than my Engl pro 412 straight with V30 & Omega VM1265 in an X pattern. My Marshall Mode four slant cab with K100 & WGS Retro 30’s sounded good but the 1960B was as I said amazing. That stealth looks freaking huge. I believe John Petrucci used the road king on the suspended animation record and that sounds nuts, but John is John. Awesome stuff, thanks. 🤘
I have to say after watching the video that both amps sound fantastic. I'm still happy with my purchase of the ENGL Fireball 100 40th Anniversary over the EVH 5150 III Stealth 100S... but I may consider picking it up later on down the line. They also sound great blended with the different cabinets.
forgot to mention, i am very picky with EQs and this two amps are very diferent from eachother . i use most of the times an empress paraeq on my pedalboard and love love the fireball.
100% it is FANTASTIC! I touched on it at the end of the video (I believe haha, I've made a few of these): For these types of videos I like to use the "Highest Gain Channel". I, personally, prefer Channel Three for a Rhythm Channel as it gives a little more bite to things (Boosted as well, but it's preference). I rarely bring my gain past Noon and Channel Three just sits really well with me. Cheers -Ryan
I literally just had this debate with myself over which one to get about a week and a half or two weeks ago... I opted to get the ENGL Fireball 100 40th Anniversary Edition because there were only 40 made, and it seems to hold up well against the EVH 5150 III, Peavey 6505 and the Mesa Dual Rectifier. I'm very interested to hear how this modified Stealth holds up against the Fireball 100.
I have a 5o Stealth with the EVH 412 5153 and love it. Just grabbed a ToneX hoping to get some nice captures of all those nice amps I can't afford. Any recommendations for good IR's ?
Not at all hahaha! I’m not an IR guy at all. I have all of my Cabinets in a separately treated room right next to my main/control room. Saves my hearing and shakes the walls… so I can actually feel everything while I’m playing. IRs are definitely a nice step for a lot of people, I’m just not one of them. Cheers -Ryan

Great video. Why not use the blue channel? Especially boosted is killer. ❤. Subscribed

Both excellent amps by reputation and as shown in this demo. I remain partial to the Fireball 100 given the comparison.

@@Crypticmaskguitar Cheers brother !
ENGL. ....But I partial ...used to have the FB100. But EVH is no slouch.
Would these amps be equally great for old school death/black? Man, just can't choose.
Either would work. The 5150 can come across a little more dark than the Fireball. But both are great choices for it. Cheers -Ryan
@@Crypticmaskguitar Cool! Thanks!!
