I got inspired by a digital illustration that I found on Pinterest. It has been love at first sight, so I decided to reproduce it with watercolors.

Anime water coloring is hard because of the detail coloring you have to do, so don’t try this at beginners, actually, do do it at beginners, practice makes perfect!

even though i use thick paper and use masking tape to hold it down, it still crumples up and the paper has huge bumps while painting
Hi Nancy! That's when paper bleeds! Sometimes happens. You should use a watercolour paper. What kind of paper do you use? I suggest you something like Canson Montval for example, is quite cheap and does not bleed cause it's made for watercolouring :)

@@CurtisSheeran yes! the pencil at the beginning :3 i love it so much! i'm going to head out to grab one later since i realized the DELETER ink i always use it's the waterproof kind T.T i drew out my illust with my usual blue pencil so it just needs darker outlining ^.^ thank you for the response btw! i'm so excited!

yeah I suggest you those pencils too, they are ultra-pigmented, the Derwent Artists! They are sold individually, too. Good luck friend! :)

Mark Boysillo so many people ask me this. If you want to use watercolor, don’t use a paper under 300g or it will be extremely difficult for you to paint! Under 300g you will get mad cause the water make bleed the paper and the colour gets a weird texture

Hi :) Yeah, watercolours are so frightening, at the beginning... It took me 5 years for being satisfied with my painting results. So.. it only takes time. But don't give up! :)

Yeah I know man, I was like you years ago: the solution was scanning the drawing and working on the print. So, exercise by exercise, I finally got confident enough to work on the original :)

Sure dear! I’m using ecoline talens and winsor and Newton cotman watercolors. Recently I’ve switched to Schmincke watercolors on cotton paper. Remember that a good paper choice is mandatory for a perfect result! :)
