Excellent presentation on techno-commercial aspects of DFC projects of India.
Thanks to Japan also for providing soft loans to finance this project along with DMIC.
Half of WDFC and about one third of EDFC has become operational. WDFC is expected to become fully operational by end of 22. The railways in India are going through transformation in all aspects, railway stations are being changed into terminals like airport terminals, tracks are being renewed for minimum speed of 160 km per hour speed. Engines and coach design and manufacturing is being done for 160 minimum speed. Signaling, SCADA systems , anti collision systems have been deployed for safe operation and control.

Not only Railway network but Roadways, Waterways, Airways, etc. Every transportation mode in India is working over it's capacity. When you'll visit India you'll know. Kyuki aapke bahaut se vlogs mein dekha hai roads pe itna congestion, traffic nahi dikhta but in India traffic is worst.
India's public infrastructure failed to cope up with ever increasing demand and has never been updated accordingly to cater needs of the hour. For ex. North East was deprived of railway connectivity since independence but now it's being pursued. Just imagine. So in that sense we are lacking much behind. While there was some mistakes as JNPT isn't the most advanced port but Mundra port is. Similarly maximum tonnage capacity of trucks is 55 tons not 10. About usage of WAP 9. In a freight train the engine is used as per the power to load ratio not as per the length and no of containers coz a small train with heavy cargo needs more powerful locomotive than a long train with lighter cargo. And this project was proposed by Japan to indian goverment to efficiently cater their industrial demands and majority funding is from Japan only.
While China can't be compared with any of the Democratic country. In china noone can object to communist party therefore no such delays. Whereas in Europe the situation is almost similar to us many of their projects is being delayed as well the only minor difference is they are efficient enough.
We are Indians we can make things possible which is imposible nd we will achieve imposible target i request to all Indians plz do the things which is beneficiary for our country nd country's interest.think above of personal interest. jai hind jai bharat 🇮🇳🤘

Very well said, China an do things much quicker. One reason is land acquisition is much easier. In China all land belongs to government. They can move anyone using the land without lawyers and court cases. Autocratic political system is advantageous here.

All the locomotives are radio controlled, so they all behave as one front engine but the front engine can have different control as needed, for example, if the front of the has passed the bump of a small hill then it will not pull but the middle and or back engine can still push.

WDFC and EDFC both projects are very slow in implementation. These are are the first two dedicated fright corridors projects taken up in India and many more are needed. India has to speed up, to connect all cities, ports with dedicated fright corridors, and also speed trains to boost exports, to make India 5 Trillion dollars or 10 Trillion dollars economy. To compete with other countries India must first build lot of infrastructure. India is very slow in implementation of infra projects when compared to other countries. India has to be fast in completing infra and other construction of projects when compared to other countries. To make India 5 Trillion Economy or to compete with China, Japan, South Korea or European countries India must speed up, remove huddles, corruption, political interference, unnecessary rules, policies, export import policies. Adopt fast track open policy, start new export zones near ports, develop Andaman Islands for transit port. There are many things India should speed up, it can do lot more to boost exports, develop hardware, electronics, solar, non conventional energy needs, robotics, AI, Telecommunications, and other emerging technologies,should be developed.
