@@satyamverma04 Aree mere Bhatije, I know UP accounts for 32 % of Debt to GDP ratio. Taking into account the Poverty rate and beneficiaries of Subsidies in quantity ,UP thrives to curb this ratio. Please go through the 15th Finance commission panel recommendations. UP majorly provides subsidies for agriculture that they procure from their own states thereby assuring MSP for farmers,while other states count Electricity and other subsides that they purchase from outside burdening the state economy. And for Delhi majority of developmental projects operate on 90:10 principle because of UT. (90 funded by centre) whereas states operate on 50:50 principle. Had Delhi been a full fledged state, the loss had been incurred long time ago.
@@satyamverma04 1. Delhi (NCR) is area wise small without the burden of maintenance of law and order (maintained by centre) plus they have got broad tax base and can afford but still problematic in long run
2. UP - highly populated and largely agri based economy only in recent times industrial corridors and IT hubs have been set up. I don't see much problem with up as it is catering to tooo much population but nonetheless they should reduce it because if it start producing good results then no wonder we can achieve much more in terms of economy in totality ( at national level)

15:45 Debt to GDP ratio doesn't actually indicate the economic status of a nation.. For example... Biggest debtors of the world 1.Lebanon 2. Venezuela 3.Japan ( debt to gdp ratio of japan is more than 269% ) Debt to gdp ratio of USA is 138%. Debts are considered good if u get it for low interest and investing on profitable assets.

Exactly, in Pakistan's case it's Rate of interest is at market rate (considered tooooo high)
And in case of America, the rate of interest is lowest the whole world, since other countries consider it a safe investment to give loans to USA.

There is a difference between good debt and bad debt bro Japan and USA take debt on their terms and conditions by issuing treasury bonds which have very low interest rate so actually it is good debt.
I think it depends on internal & external debt.

debt to gdp ratio doesn't indicate economy of any country. actually countries like USA and japan or india having more gdp to debt ratio but they are developed plus powerful nation. they have more forex reserve , gold reserve and their goverment bond is considered as very reliable therefore these ratio doesn't affect their economy
