    As a 37 years old man who is just now seeing the grace of God, this is very hard to listen to and accept (knowing that it’s hard to accept because of my pride). However, that’s how you know he’s teaching the true Word. Not for one second have I ever thought God is supposed to make me feel good all the time. A pastor that always makes you feel good is clearly twisting the word of God.

      @@laurenbatson5918 You don't know what you are saying. That is indeed an issue. The thing you are not getting is that you are NOT good. You have no redeeming quality unless the God man justifies you. Repent and flee to the Lion of Judah! Believe in him alone!

      My brother in Christ, I'm 34 and I am just like you. However be of good cheer. Jesus spent 3 years with disciples to empty them of everything they had, so in the appointed time they can be instantly filled with his holy spirit. We must exhaust all our hopes in the flesh, so that we can be of use to God.

    I was trying so hard to explain the gospel to my fiance yesterday on our way home from church. She just kept saying but all these pastors say if you do this you're going to hell All these pastors say there's so many Christians that it will be going to hell and all these pastors say this and all these pastors say that. I tried explain to her that I don't care what they said The gospel is the good news I went the good news says there's no one is worthy not one but through God's sacrifice of his son if we believe he died and was resurrected for us then that's what it takes to get into heaven nothing we do nothing we don't do but what we believe. She just couldn't get it the way I explained to her she felt like I was talking down to her telling her things she already knows and that I was treating her like she was dumb. She kept saying I've read it I've read it it says we will be judged for our actions and the things we done that all shall be judged and I couldn't find the words to explain what the good news was and away that she could understand. I cannot wait for her to get home from work so she could hear it from you thank you for this in death explanation of salvation and sanctification I cannot wait to share it with my loved ones Amen

    This is the first time I have heard someone preach how sanctification really works. I struggle with alcohol and I got caught up in the charismania and deliverance movement and I didn’t drink for a year bc i thought it was a demon that i had casted out. The second I started realizing the truth and God began bringing me out of the deception I was under, the alcoholism came right back. I absolutely still struggle with it but it is getting easier to deal with. Evidence of justification is our sanctification. I wish i could have heard this 5 years ago when i first got saved and my alcoholism kicked into high gear. 😩

    If all of this is true, and I think it is, I've been taught wrong for most of my life. How many alter calls have I participated in where the pastor preacher encourages the flock to rededicate themselves...to get back on track...but they couldn't have all been wrong...no...I would like to think that maybe I just understood it wrong...some did say turn away from your sins... repent and be blessed...ask for forgiveness. Maybe it's just the way Voddie puts it that makes it more clear...or maybe it's where I am in my life...I don't know...but oh how many times have I "rededicated my life " only to never truly change my heart/ renew my mind. Maybe this is why I could sit in church and still think about suicide, or feel worse than how I felt before I got there. Maybe this explains the sadness and frustration and anger and bitterness and not so great disposition in spite of "doing the right thing"...They said if you do this, then God will do this...well...in many cases, those things didn't happen and I believed I was not loved by God, that nothing I did really mattered. How many times have I wondered what the whole point of abstaining from this or that if bad things were still gonna happen and the fog/ heaviness would still be there? How many times... :-(

      We are not always faithful but God is ALWAYS faithful and the fact that this sermon has reached our ears is His faithfulness to our ‘seeking’
      “I love those who love me, and those who diligently seek me will find me. Proverbs 8:17
      But from there, you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul. Deuteronomy 4:29
      So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Luke 11:9-10
      ‘You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13

    "I feel guilty. I wanna rededicate my life. That makes me wanna spit!" Perfectly said...Arminian fundamental Baptism in a nutshell. Walk an aisle, sign a card, ask Jesus into your heart (as if He wants to be there in the first place). You can walk down the aisle, sign that card, and even ask Jesus into your heart, all without ever repenting of your sins. And all of those things, or any combination thereof, will do you no good whatsoever outside of true repentance. The Old Testament prophets called for repentance, as did John the Baptist, the apostles, and, of course, Jesus Himself. Our Savior called the seven churches in Revelation to repent, not ask Him into their hearts. Anyone who tells you to ask Jesus into your heart as a means of salvation is lying to you, willfully or not.

      But the churches were still saved and are called lampstands! Their salvation will not be conditioned upon their own holiness, but Christ’s righteousness. Voddie did a good job distinguishing between salvation and sanctification. Why do so many Christians have weird screen names?

    Shall we go on sinning so that grace should increase? By no means! We died to sin, how can we live in it any longer...
    Also...
    If we continually keep on sinning after receiving knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left... but only an expectation of judgement and of raginging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
    Brothers, we cannot LIVE in the comfort of our sin...

      This is in Hebrews, the knowledge of the truth that they received was that Jesus died for their sins and rose for their justification. I believe this was speaking to hebrews, who were continuing to trust in their own righteousness through the law. Instead of trusting God to justify the wicked through, the death burial and resurrection of Christ. Sin is the transgression of the law, Under the law, no one would be saved, because everyone is a lawbreaker., transgressor , And to fall short, and any part of the law ,you are guilty of all. If you try to live by the law for your salvation you are trusting in your own performance which is filthy rags. We have a righteousness not our own, a righteousness, which comes through faith in Christ. We all sin every day, willingly, and unwillingly. Do the best you can, but only Christ, dying for our sins, being in tomb, and being raised from the dead, is the gospel that now saves us. God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, having forgiven us ALL our trespasses. This is the way I understand it.

    • @myalaynaangel
      @myalaynaangel ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Rubytuby it is talking about willfull unrepented sin. People who claim to love God but have unrepented hearts. You cannot rely on your own righteousness no... but you still need to obey God.
      I can't live an active impure life (sleeping around, stealing, homosexualty etc) and then say ... oh I trust God so I now have a license to sin...
      I don't think that is what he is saying... like you said... we all sin willfully and unknowingly so thank GOD for grace.... however if I have no regard to the things of Christ... no you are not on the nartow road. It's not about acting right but having God's heart to love what he loves and hate what he hates.

      Did no one else see the part of the sermon where Voddie points out of you think you aren’t sinning, you probably still have pride and self-righteous? The Holy Spirit convicts people of sin. Jesus came to free people (of sin), not condemn them (John 3:16). Anyone who has read the Bible knows Paul can be whiny and sexist. We all sin, but Gnostic box checkers have a harder time seeing their sin.

    I can’t understand how people interpret the Bible after the custom of men. Instead of allowing the Bible to interpret itself with the other scriptures and considering the context it is in. Jesus Christ was the atonement for our sins, but in order to for us to receive that atonement, a man must do what Jesus teaches. Jesus said to repent just as the forerunner came preaching as God commanded him. Repentance doesn’t just mean I’m sorry, but a person must show forth the fruit of repentance by turning away from their sin(s) as they come into the knowledge of the Truth of God’s Word. This is how we go on unto perfection. Jesus to us to perfect, just as our Father in heaven is perfect. We are to be Holy, just as God is Holy he says. Jesus came to free us from sin, not to continue in sin, thinking that grace shall abound. We can’t do this own our own power, but it’s done through the power of the Holy Ghost who works within us to help us to come to perfection and holiness. This is the power that has been given to us to become sons of God. We can not trample the blood of Jesus the Bible says. Meaning continuing to sin after you have came into the knowledge of the Truth. The Bible says if you do there remain no more sacrifice of sin. The tells us Jesus came to free us from sin, how are we free from sin if we continue to walk in known sin. Whom the Son set free is free indeed. We must be imitators of Christ. We too must doers of the Word and not hearers only deceiving ourselves.

    Voddie, yes it's wrong to trust the human effort of works righteousness i.e., what we do/don't do for salvation-it's also wrong to mock those who've had victory over sin via the Holy Spirit. Clearly we are not saved by works [Gal 2 v16/3 v10/5 v4, Eph 2 v8-9, Rom 3 v20;28/11 v6, Acts 26 v18, Titus 3 v5 Mark 7] but please remember, God also *commands* people everywhere *to repent* [Luke 13 v5, Acts 17 v30/26 v20, Matt 3 v2/8], to *turn from sin,* and place their hope of salvation in Christ. The Bible also says: "we shall know them by their fruits" [Matt 7 v16]; being the *evidence* of salvation where *the old things* passed away-they are a "new creature" [2 Cor 5 v17].

      100% I did not like it when he accused the person who got sober by the grace of God, gave God the glory, and testifies of the goodness of God….as being prideful. What the heck was that? The guy repented and was delivered, speaks about it, but is “prideful”? How?!
      The man was obviously saved by grace. The grace that brings salvation!
      Titus 2: 11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

    Was good till half way in.
    I've read. Go sin no more . Be holy for I am holy, repent for the remission of sins. The pure in heart will see God. Who are the pure in heart ? Those who keep his commandments. Faith without works is dead. Works without faith is dead too. But judging your brothers they dont have faith and you are tripping them up by judging wether they have faith?. Their struggle is real, they pray to God and love God they are seeking him for help. They just need the whole truth. Youre forgiven The curse of sin is lifted. His blood cleanses us. Go sin no more. Run the race whole heartily. Seek out your own salvation with fear and trembling. His mercies are new every morning. Let those who say the name Christ depart from iniquity. Is it that hard to preach to the sheep? It's quite clear.
    Salvation? Saved from what?

    • @angelaserrone
      @angelaserrone 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Saved from what? Saved from the wrath of God, saved from His judgment. As a sinner, (we all are) you will be standing one day in front of the Almighty God to be judged for everything you have done while you were alive. What you think His sentence will be for you, innocent or guilty? Since we are all sinners none of us is innocent, that's why Jesus came and died in our place and with His blood washed away all of our sins so that when that day will come although guilty, we will stand innocent in front of God. John 3:16 -" For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Saved from what? Saved from God just judgment, saved form our second death which is eternal condemnation.
