just wondering what you mean by "work to do on myself"...not "to be saved", right? to repent? to examine yourself? surrendering? He works IN us, but there are many ways we can "work out our salvation" (AFTER having been "born again"), and in "putting to death the deeds of the flesh" ...so just wondering what you meant by that comment. grace and peace

One of my favorite pastors... But !!! He Absolutely Needed to speak of the helper and comforter in this sermon... Holy Spirit with grace given makes this walk bearable... hard and lonely, isolating much of the time, but God nurtures and disciplines the Christian at the same time. ..... ..... ..... ..... God Bless You All In Truth and Repentance. - In Christ, Christina

Lord Jesus, I thank you that your Holy Spirit has given Voddie the understanding of the scriptures and that you have used him to reach those who may be lost and to bring joy and understanding to those who are found in Christ Jesus. I thank you God for by your spirit you have revealed to us those who walk in light and that they may be known by their fruits that they bring the saving gospel of Jesus and they stand on truth such as Pastor Voddie. That we may also study to show ourselves approved and not just be hearers of the word but doers. That we may get into the depths of the scriptures and we may also be a vessel used for your glory! This is a word to stir up our souls, in particular The Lost within the Church.
In support of our walk is The Holy Paraclet and Advocate, plus Voddie is a *Calvanist* thus remember we are also elected by Yaweh and yet still disciplined in Love. Painful, but done for our edification.

What a beautiful person Pastor Voodie is. I have so much respect and love for him. His message is always convicting and inspiring. It always helps me examine myself and inspires me in my Christian faith to live my life in righteousness for God no matter what. I’m so thankful for genuine rare Christians like him that call out sin like it is, not sugarcoating it all and only work to bring glory to Jesus Christ, not caring about what the world says. Thank God for giving and blessing us with people like him. We have a lot to learn from him and those like him. May God bless him, his family, and ministry 10 fold, and may God continue to use him for his kingdom!

If asked if I'm a Christian I would say "Yes. I have been all my life. I was raised in an Baptist church. I still attend with my family." I wouldn't mean that literally though. I was born again at age 6. I was baptized shortly afterward. I've failed so much but I love him and He sure has been good to me. I couldn't make it without Him and if I could I wouldn't want to.

Prayer is something I do, probably a dozen or more times a day. I have an abusive mother and sister and the lies they have told has separated me from the entire family. Because of some UGLY EVILNESS and LIES they and no relatives that live near here so they did not know better, so I have no family. I have very few friends (because my bar for friendship is so high) and I am handicapped so day and night I am here with no one to talk to, so I talk to God. Sometimes a short conversation ad sometimes longer. You see it is so natural to me, I talk as if he were sitting next to me and we are chatting and THAT IS simple! You talk to God in the same manner as anyone else EXCEPT it is with love, reverence and humility.

.i love listening to those Pastors that are not ashamed to preach the Gospel Truth of Jesus Christ..there are many false Pastors and lieng so-called prophets ..but Like Christ said in Mathhew 24. See that no one decieves you..God bless Pastors Like MacArthur, Paul Washer VOODIE Bauchan,Justin Perters Lawson James Coates there are a few more who preach sound doctrine. You must know God's word to recognize sound teachings. I love verse to vers teaching there is Amir and Korman Jewish pastors for Christ. I love listening to them..I love the Word and thank God that i have a great understanding to know the lies from His.Truth..I am saved by God's Grace through Faith in Christ alone..and I am standing believing. Fixing my eyes on Christ the Author and the Finisher of our Faith..it is a rough road ,there will be trials and persection. But it is only those who endure to the end. Will be saved .

Once you’re saved your immediately sealed with Holy Spirit nothin can ever seperate you from him
And no one not evev yourself can take you out of his fathers hand
We have eternal security in Christ
This man preaching is a Calvinist they preach good but not not all of their doctrine is correct
They don’t belive in eternal security look it up
You are secure in Christ forever

What I have found is that the Christian life is easy. Jesus Christ said, “My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” When I look at God the Father, He is at work in you both will and to do His good purposes. The power of God is in us, it is the same power that created everything. He spoke the word and everything came into existence, and that same power raised the dead. What may be hard is divorcing the sinful nature, so stop the struggling, and be obedient.

But I am still struggling with the idea of repentance.
It’s always been the reason I don’t come sprinting back to the Christian faith.
I’m a sinner, yes, but I guess I can’t fully believe in the wretchedness of my “self” nor can I get behind the whole heartedly the WRATH of God!

My go to's for truth of scripture in no particular order:
    Chuck Swindoll
    Voddie Baucham
    John MacArthur
    Vernon McGee
    Billy Graham (not his son)
    Charles Stanley (not his son)
I've been blessed by Jesus to hear the true Gospel thru these men. There are so many convincingly false preachers today and I hope all people get on their knees and ask Jesus for guidance to whom to listen to for truth.

I dont believe we are able to want to "know Jesus" before being born again. I know before I was born again, I had little to no desire to "know Jesus".
      I did however fear hell,
And the night I tried to take my life, the fear of hell caused me to cry out to the Lord for forgiveness for attempting to take my own life. I was reborn in that moment, and it was then that I had a desire to know Jesus.
Jesus talked about hell alot, Because it is a reality. A reality that there is a sovereign God who will judge your sins! Hell is real, and Jesus warned of it continually.

Remenber this word was written to the Jews of the 1st century, many rejected the truth but a good number beleived. And Mt 8:11 says many will come and sit down with Abe. Few of the 1st century believed but many over the centuries will come till at the end of church age the church will fill the earth, the many of all the nations. Preach Christ crucified, focus on his work and like the book of Acts many were saved, thousands, it wasnt hard when tthe Holy Spirit was moving and the word preached was focused on his work. On our own we cant come and dont want to come but when irresistible grace is poured out on us we come willingly, and glorify him. We have way to much Pieitism today. There are some raised in good churches who never remenber a time they were not saved. And some r well known.

Answer this for me then if u could or would, What's the point? I thought we were saved by the mercy of God because we are born in sin? Because we're all sinners and continue daily to sin then if thats the case as u say, there no chance of anyone going to heaven. And that means everyone both me and you included. I see what the little prayer that most churches do a way to give hope to all of us sinners, oh yeah it includes everyone of us. We may not be sealed to be saved but it is a welcoming to family that tries hard to live in the glory of God, in all the ways He wants us to. Putting only His Son before ourselves and anyone. It doesnt mean thats all one has to do but a little glimpse of hope and being welcomed into a family in the body of Christ wish give us the strenth to believe and repent and learn. Idk i think yes we need it not sugar coated and yet u cant do away with hope. And no hope is how i felt after listening to this and that doesnt often happen when i listen to u. I always gain strenth in ur lectures to do the next best thing and fall to my knees but today all that i felt was.. then whats the use of even trying? We are born on that wide road and no one but a very few that are basically prefect will find that narrow gate so why even try? Be careful not to empty a cup when all ur doung is trying to fill that cup. Jesus knew we all sinned and yet he always gave us hope. Faith, hope and love with the greatest of these being love. Thats all we have in the end and the way i see it if u take away hope ur faith and love wont be far behind. God bless u each and everyone. And if im wrong and completely missed the mark please explain

Perseverance of the Saints - The precise ones God has elected and drawn to Himself through the Holy Spirit will persevere in faith. None whom God has elected will be lost; they are eternally secure (John 10:27-29; Romans 8:29-30; Ephesians 1:3-14).
While all these doctrines have a biblical basis, many people reject all or some of them. So-called “four-point Calvinists” accept Total Depravity, Unconditional Election, Irresistible Grace, and Perseverance of the Saints as biblical doctrines. Man is definitely sinful and incapable of believing in God on his own. God elects people based on His will alone - election is not based on any merit in the person chosen. All those whom God has chosen will come to faith. All those who are truly born-again will persevere in their faith. As for Limited Atonement, however, four-point Calvinists believe that atonement is unlimited, arguing that Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, not just for the sins of the elect. “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world” (1 John 2:2). Other verses in opposition to limited atonement are John 1:29; 3:16; 1 Timothy 2:6; and 2 Peter 2:1.
The five-point Calvinists, however, see problems with four-point Calvinism. First, they argue, if Total Depravity is true, then Unlimited Atonement cannot possibly be true because, if Jesus died for the sins of every person, then whether or not His death is applicable to an individual depends on whether or not that person “accepts” Christ. But as we have seen from the above description of Total Depravity, man in his natural state has no capacity whatsoever to choose God, nor does he want to. In addition, if Unlimited Atonement is true, then hell is full of people for whom Christ died. He shed His blood in vain for them. To the five-point Calvinist, this is unthinkable. Please note: this article is only a brief summary of the five points of Calvinism. For a more in-depth look, please visit the following pages: Total Depravity, Unconditional Election, Limited Atonement, Irresistible Grace, and Perseverance of the Saints.

No, its absolutely the strait gate. Strait is not the same as straight. Strait is a narrow passage in a body of water. KJV still the best imo.
    We swimmin boys! *doggy paddles.
What is a trial? Is it not similar to a current of water you're swimming against? And if we get to still waters and wade there. Eventually we drown. We must keep swimming until the finish. I believe the gate is at the end of the strait. And if we get close enough, perhaps there is currents that pull us closer as well? Idk. But I know God is good.

    • @HeartInLight
      @HeartInLight 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

Also, going by the KJV and how I believe its the most accurate. Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way. If i put narrow into a reverse latin thing. It has many definitions. But one sticks out the most. This one here.
strictus adjective: strict, tight, rigorous, austere, naked Which austere means: adjective. severe in manner or appearance; uncompromising; strict; forbidding: an austere teacher. rigorously self-disciplined and severely moral; ascetic; abstinent: the austere quality of life in the convent.
That very much sounds like the path to life to me. Its not easy. We must be strict on ourselves, uncompromising, rigorously self-disciplined, severely moral, abstinent
And ascetic in that means: characterized by or suggesting the practice of severe self-discipline and abstention from all forms of indulgence, typically for religious reasons.
Dont all these things all point to it being the correct one to anyone else?

I love his Sermons, but I do believe he's in error on this subject.
When he says you will not find the sinners prayer in the Bible. Romans '10 "9
For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that GOD raised him from the dead (YOU WILL BE SAVED).
For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with GOD and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.
As the Scriptures tell us, anyone who believes in him will not be disappointed.
This is the slippery sloap that so many Pastors find themselves on. They inadvertently make Christianity a faith of Works, and it is actually a faith of Grace, and Grace alone.
We are saved because of Jesus, and his sacrifice alone.

    • @ToOpen6seven
      @ToOpen6seven 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

When did Voddie state you had to work for your salvation? What I think he is preaching is easy believism. There should be some evidence in a person's life that they've been truly born-again.

    • @danielkelley8533
      @danielkelley8533 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@ToOpen6seven i believe he is inadvertently saying that. He may not even know he's saying it.
He's a Calvinist. This means he believes in Calvinism which states that GOD basically chooses all who will be saved, and by default chooses all who will be damned.
So basically they don't believe in the Sinners Prayer as that means we choose GOD after hearing his word. I believe that Jesus died for all sins, and anyone who believes in him will be saved just like Romans 10'9" says.
Yes there should be evidence of your salvation through your life, but those works do not save you in themselves. You only do those works because you are saved in the first place.
And to be saved requires you to say the sinners prayer in some shape or form basically asking GOD for the forgiveness he has offered. Then you are born again, and your walk with Christ begins.

This is what this pastor and other Calvinist belive
The five points of Calvinism can be summarized by the acronym TULIP. T stands for total depravity, U for unconditional election, L for limited atonement, I for irresistible grace, and P for perseverance of the saints. Here are the definitions and Scripture references Calvinists use to defend their beliefs:
Total Depravity - As a result of Adam’s fall, the entire human race is affected; all humanity is dead in trespasses and sins. Man is unable to save himself (Genesis 6:5; Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 3:10-18).
Unconditional Election - Because man is dead in sin, he is unable to initiate a response to God; therefore, in eternity past God elected certain people to salvation. Election and predestination are unconditional; they are not based on man’s response (Romans 8:29-30;9:11; Ephesians 1:4-6, 11-12) because man is unable to respond, nor does he want to.
Limited Atonement - Because God determined that certain ones should be saved as a result of God’s unconditional election, He determined that Christ should die for the elect alone. All whom God has elected and for whom Christ died will be saved (Matthew 1:21; John 10:11; 17:9; Acts 20:28; Romans 8:32; Ephesians 5:25).
Irresistible Grace - Those whom God elected He draws to Himself through irresistible grace. God makes man willing to come to Him. When God calls, man responds (John 6:37, 44; 10:16).

1 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:1:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
    Mr Baucham,
I have listened to a lot of your teaching; sounds good but something seems to be incomplete. Are you a member of a denomination? Is Christ a member of a denomination? The teachings and worship services of the denominations of totally different from Christ.
As the broad road goes to put unbelievers and other religions that don't include Jesus Christ is simple to be the broad road. Satan is a lot more tricky than that. Let's just suppose that all denominations are part of the broad road. This changes everything you have taught. Also we are born into a sinful world, babies are innocent/sinless.
You can't make God get inside your box. So show proof that Christ is apart of any denomination in Scripture.
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
