The word "Repent" has disappeared from sermons today in churches.
My thoughts exactly we ought to be consistently reminded of our newfound minds and hearts in Christ. Remembering that repentance is not just feeling bad about a sin but a genuine change of heart, attitude and most importantly our actions. God bless you 🙏🏼
Love listening to this brother. I wish people, Christians in particular, would understand that the only way we are going to conquer racism is to have unity with all people. It so saddens me when people claim they need restitution. No, restitution won’t make you happy. All that little bit of cash will do is put some groceries on your table, put some gas in your car. You need a relationship with Jesus and you need to understand what forgiveness is and to extend it. The reason there’s still racism, there’s still prejudice, there are still slums, still unwed mothers, people doing drugs, people being trafficked, any sin you can think of, any crime committed, is because 1) there is no Jesus. When we have Jesus we don’t want to do any of that. When we have Jesus we want to do things for him. Tell others about him, extend a helping hand to someone in need without expecting anything in return. So many other things that won’t fit here. But we do things that he asks of us just like we do things for our parents. And number 2) there’s no forgiveness. We cannot live in peace if we don’t forgive. We don’t forgive because someone deserves it. Because they probably don’t. We forgive because we need it for ourselves. And sometimes we have to go to God and say God I know you want me to forgive but I don’t want to. Please give me a heart that wants to forgive. Parents can ruin your life and you hate them. A spouse has betrayed us. Forgiveness is the last thing you want to do. You spent your school years being bullied and now you are bitter. No the person doesn’t deserve it. But Jesus went to the cross for us. He was beaten so badly he was unrecognizable. And yet he forgave. He will give you the heart and the strength to forgive. But come to Him. Admit you are a sinner. Ask him for His great and endless forgiveness. He will give it. And you will experience a love so great that forgiveness and love for others will be natural. And you will have joy unspeakable and full of glory!
Voddie Baucham speaks truth! One of the biggest red flags is when a so-called pastor or a preacher says he prayed a prayer at 5 years old that his grandmother told him to repeat and he claims to have been saved because he even went to bible school and has been a preachin' for 40 years to convince people to pray this same payer he prayed for Jesus when he was 5, but he has no reverence for God, begins his church not by opening the Word but with emotionally manipulative music (very man-centered about how much Jesus loves ME), then proceeds to give "quick" announcements about how awesome his church is and then to crack a few jokes and finally to sermons that are unoriginal copies of other people's sermons because he has not experienced true regeneration and couldn't tell you what true regenerative repentance is to save his life. If people are having such a hard time discerning truth from false now, they are in great trouble as there will be plenty more false teachers that will be even harder to detect as the apostasy/great falling away progresses with time.
I also prayed the 'Sinner's prayer' at age ((*4*)). But.... my "I.Q." Level has always been extremely high. And so.... I did understand EXACTLY, and PRECISELY; that I was a man, born in the flesh unto sin. (A sinner), and also that I was in need of an Savior, in order to be redeemed unto God the father, in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. And so.... please 🙏🏿 allow my story help you to both see, and understand; that you cannot just judge ((*ANYTHING*)), and/or any situation, or person by how things may "APPEAR" to be. And,....is it wise for one to simply ASSUME that we can just round everyone and everybody up under the "same" category?

Agreed! So tired of these churches using music and comedy to lure the younger generation or the lukewarm into their church! Give me a pastor, not a preacher, who dresses appropriately, sings worship hymns, and teaches straight from the Bible! I don’t need my emotions to be manipulated for I have already found the Way! His name is Jesus and he needs no sales pitch to make me commit! Praise God, thank you for these men of God like Pastor Voddie Baucham ❤
I do remember after watching a Billy Graham special on tv in 2005 where I truly did mean for the first time ever that I was a sinner and truly believed in Jesus Christ. I felt a peace I had never felt before nor since then. I woke up feeling different and one of the very first things I did was : (1) pray and ask for forgiveness for having my last portion of the CPA exam scheduled on a Sunday (I had scheduled it before being saved ) and (2) breaking up with my Buddhist boyfriend. I didn't want to sin after that. When I read the Word /the Bible I want to obey and I fear God. I still don't want to sin against Him even though I will bc I'm in my flesh. I still ask for Jesus to increase my faith in Him - the God/man who died for me and my sin. I do believe God can work through some big evangelical events , but repentance has to be part of it . Which only happens through God the Holy Spirit (convicts of sin ).
*edit: I wanted to clarify that I definitely still sinned after being saved and still do ! I just don't WANT to. Lately the Lord has had me in His Word (the Bible ) like never before. I used to never read it regularly and even became lukewarm. 😢 BUT praise God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ bc He made me on fire again. I talk about Him as much as I can to non believers by trying to hand out gospel tracts ...the time is so short. I still have this flesh that will make me afraid but I'm praying God will help me to just be bold and even if I get hurt or hated for spreading the gospel so be it. Just help me not to have unforgiveness in my heart and to not deny Him.
I truly feel (I'm in my early 40s) we are in the very very last days. It's too short. Pray for boldness to share. Pray that as many people get saved as possible. Literally nothing else matters.
Amen!!! I think many DO come to a true faith in these evangelistic events. As long as the person turns from sin in repentance and towards Jesus, believing in their heart that he rose from the dead and proclaiming with their mouths that Jesus is Lord, they WILL be saved, as the Bible says! What's most important is for new Christians to be discipled after making the decision to trust in the Lord for the forgiveness of their sins.
@suemcmahon4196 yes amen I agree with you ! Sadly I was not discipled BUT God the Father did put me into a small group /fellowship group praise Him ! Lately He has had me really reading His Word like really reading all the time almost and it's all praise to Him !

Thank you, Lord Jesus. I am a sinner. I am saved by you and you alone. I pray for more of the Spirit in my life, and a closeness to you. I remember what i have done and what i was, and it pains me. I rejoice in how far i am from that now. Praise be the name of Jeus the Christ.

By the grace of God. The death of his Son and his resurrection.

To me I need to hear actual passages preached so for instance I wouldnt want to come to a church preaching this message because what he does isnt preaching a passage of scripture of its actual context but he is preaching a message from what he saw at a church service. Do you get it? He isn't preaching a biblical passage. He is preaching about an experience he had.

God give me strength to overcome every battle I face as a single mom struggling to provide for both of my sons that are special needs. God please help me. As I struggle to buy groceries and as I struggle to pay bills each and every month I know this struggle is only temporary. God I know you will help me overcome. In Jesus name amen! ❤️❤️
How many years ago I was in the same position as child of God was. My child was not special needs at times were really hard can I barely provided the necessities of life. play looking back I can say that God did provide. I pray that God will help you to get through these hard times. We can trust him now that he is in control and he's there and you can trust him 100%.

May other believers come along side you and minister to you in love and Truth. May your boys be a witness to the true church as they see God work and move. Thank you for the gospel. So many people said a prayer, yet still don't know who Jesus is. You are right when you said we can't have Unity because many who think they're saved or not. How do we know they're not because there is no fruit. Many have not been discipled, many are in a cult and don't know it, and many only want what they can get from the Creator but don't want the Creator.
Exactly!! When we are willing to give up everything in creation to have the creator. Counting everything as loss for the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord. Coming to Christ as the only bread that can satisfy us and will satisfy us forever. Fully trusting that being in Him, we will never hunger or thirst again. True faith is a coming to Christ as a gain over everything. To want Him more than you want anything. Yes, many recognize their need of Him and come to Him. But do they really want Him or just what He can give them?
Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins....
.... and you WILL BE SAVED!

These messages convict the Holy Spirit to get the Believer to do what what Paul directs us to examine ourselves. This gonna sound crazy but there is a difference between Acceptance, and ACCEPTANCE and COMMITMENT. Whe you Accept and Commit to the Lord you enter into a Covenant. This is a lifelong commitment just like a Marriage. This is a lifelong pursuit of Righteousness that doesn't end until we stand in front of the Lord. At that time we go from SANCTIFIED to GLORIFIED. PTL!
I have a BIG question...is this capitalized 'Acceptance' and pursuit of 'Righteousness' going to lead you to vote for Trump...and will that be part of YOUR 'sanctified' process?

Praise God, VODDIE is very consistent with delivering and teaching the true gospel , for this is one of my reasons with being consistent in desiring sermons being delivered by this true man of God , he does not tickle the ear of God's people , I have much respect and love for this vessel that God has ordained to deliver his message to a fallen people. I am not a Calvinist but a Christ nature seeker , indeed .I am thirsty with a desire to know the true gospel and apply it to my life. God bless

The very church you are preaching about I visited in Tacoma listened to one and a half songs and a woman talking and I turned and walked out no gospel was spoken at all

Don't tell people you've been saved.
Tell them you're being saved.
Then the lost will be more receptive to the Gospel.
Amen. The same goes when we tell others we are being sanctified as opposed to we are sanctified.

The pattern of New Testament salvation is found in the ACTS of the Apostles. Peter (who was given the keys to the kingdom according to what Jesus told him) preached the gospel in Acts chapter 2. Then he commanded those who heard him what they needed to do. Acts 2:37-38.
Think of it this way: Can someone lift weights and you gain muscle from their workout? Or can someone read a book and you remember what's in that book, word-for-word, without ever seeing a single word?
Too many "churches" today are filled with false converts due to the fact that the pastors and leaders of these congregations have never experienced true repentance themselves and push that "repeat after me" nonsense they call "repentance" instead of preaching the full counsel of God and encouraging people to pray for themselves from their own heart. If your church or an event you go to ever does that "repeat after me: God I'm a sinner..." nonsense, you're in the wrong place. True repentance comes from the Holy Spirit not from a man or woman telling you to "repeat after me."

The Muslims send out Jesus name but they don't believe He is God or able to pay for our sin. The gospel according to Jesus Christ must be proclaimed not just His name.
If we are not in relationship with the God of the Bible we are not in relationship with the one True God. Who is the God that the Bible proclaims? Only a fool does not search and test everything to be sure you know who that God is for himself! Your very salvation depends on it…. and your children and their children and their children!
I disagree. We have to start somewhere. And yes, one service is not enough, but it's a start. You have to advise them to continue in their walk. Reading the Bible, etc. I was not where he was speaking about, so I could not agree. They are basing the prayer on Roman's.

I feel its pretty unfair to judge someones slavation based off of cornering new believers and askimg them to tell you about "this Jesus"......everyone has to grow in knowledge....even the disciples didnt understand things about Jesus...that he told them directly....give a little grace....
He's talking about someone who says they are a Christian but you don't see any fruit in their life. You can tell the work of the Holy Spirit even in a brand new Christian who doesn't "know much"

Repentance is not for the body of christ Repentance was for the 1st century Jews. Those are the only people Christ came to bring into the kingdom. Since the Jews re j acted Christ. Lo God turned to the Gentiiles
Repentance is for all mankind, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God! This was addressed to the Gentiles in the book of Romans. Also when Paul was preaching to the Greeks at Athens he said that men everywhere should turn to God-that is repentance.
Who appointed these Calvinist to condemn and judge? Take care your flock, that should keep you busy.

I believe that Voddie is preaching truth and he is precious and a true man of God. I’m just confused on why he keeps Sunday as his day of worship. Sabbath on the seventh day of the week is forever because the Word and the 4th commandment is forever.
Because we are taught in scripture that no man is to act as your judge in regard to the feasts,the new moon, or the sabbath day. Collosians 2:15 -17
