And true. If you had a flaw in high school and you weren't the prettiest or coolest, you almost subconsciously work on yourself internally. And sharpen your personality or hobbies that you really interested in. And so in return when everyone else focused on being cool in high school, you learnt to seek yourself and thus in your mid twenties you have developed a part of you most kids haven't even navigated at in your age.

I am born and raised in Austin (and my dad is from ft worth where y’all are) and I loved hearing the conversation about Texas because y’all touched on some of my favorite things about it. The way that people will genuinely be there for you whenever you need it is so true. Its also very true that there is quite a bit of hate and hurt here that needs to be healed. Even in Austin I don’t always feel safe as an obviously queer person and there’s certainly lottts of issues with racism, police brutality, Women’s rights, and lack of gun control (to name a few).
The conversation about complimenting strangers was especially interesting to me because since I was about 13 years old I’ve practiced giving people genuine compliments because it’s just what you do here and I love building other people up!
I recently took up photography and my favorite subjects are interesting people that I see around the city. So now I’m practicing walking up to strangers, giving them a complement, and asking if I can take pictures of them. It feels like a whole new level of Texan-in-your-business-in-the-nicest-way and I just laugh at myself every time I do it. Like can I be anymore austin-y😂

Yes it would be great if everyone could explore the world and decide where they want to live BUT a lot of people can’t. Because they can’t afford it. Plus governments don’t like that. Immigration is not encouraged by governments. So that’s very difficult. But would be great in an ideal world. Travel should be a RIGHT. Living wherever you want should be a RIGHT. Not a luxury, not a privilege.

This and Ashley's episode have been the most interesting to me. Such deep & tricky topics, all of u seem to be very different and it made the conversation rich.

John Hill! Never clicked faster. The TH-camr crossover I've always wanted but never thought possible! My inner Paris nerd and skateboard nerd are very happy
