First of all, Sharm's voice here is absolutely stunning Second of all, I love the parallel in the bridge between this and Fallen Leaves Third of all, and I might be reaching here, but each title implies something farther from the earth, the Fallen Leaves of the Erdtree being the closest to the bottom (Tarnished), Radahn's Scarlet Sky, showcasing both the tragedy that befell the Starscourge and how he gained that title, climbing long above the ground and conquering the sky, and now Ranni's Moonlight Blue, showcasing her connection to the moon and going beyond the sky, to space, representing her being the closest to an Outer God via being an Empyrean
Also notable in that the characters' goals and positions in the world vary wildly between the three. The Tarnished may as well want to uphold the Golden Order, or even bring about the effective apocalypse by desecrating everyone's souls. But either way, their fate is bound with several Outer Gods vying for control over the Lands Between. Radahn is involved with two Outer Gods. So while the Tarnished is grounded, they're grounded in grounds besotted with Outer Gods that are messing everything up. Radahn is airborne. He's not tied down with most of the Outer Gods. No you are right and there is lyrics for it: Moonlight Blue: With a watchful gaze on the skyline We look to the sweep of the stars My friend through many long lifetimes I guide your way from afar Fallen Leaves: And the branches of gold on the skyline Reach out to the sweep of the stars The beginnings and endings of lifetimes A guidance of light from afar Even similar lyrics.
It's one of the things I love about Gav doing these "series songs". Listening to the throughline. Check out the Assassin's Creed and Metro songs for them done more or less explicitly.
@@miracleofsound it's something you do with a lot of related songs you make about video games and especially that are interrelated between games. I've noticed it since fires far for Dark souls 2 and I've always appreciated it.
Everytime I think of rannis lore, it hurts to realize that Blaidd wont ever see the fruits of his loyalty bloom. Fated to lose his mind and or die so Ranni can achieve her goal.
Miracle of Sound and Sharm is an almost unfair combo, these two mesh spectacularly. The song's not 2 days old and it's already among my favourites of 2022. Excellent track!
This one was one of the less difficult ones to write, actually! The title was the first thing I came up with so the melody around those 2 words kind of wrote itself. It came very naturally. If only it were always that easy, haha!
This song is so beautiful that I cried. Ranni's ending is the most deep and well constructed of all endings, and as a character she certainly shines above the rest. As for Blaidd, I was so saddened when the fingers made him go mad that I stopped playing for a few days, at least his death was not in vain, and Ranni could kick out the Greater Will from the Lands Between. :c
The voice of Gav layered with the one of Sharm singing about Blaidd and Ranni was so epic. A tragic and yet beautiful alliance, perfectly represented in the song.
You've outdone yourself again! Sharm's Voice is so beautiful and it fits so well with the theme of the song. Especially loved the callback to Fallen leaves during: 0:59 to 1:17. Always love when that happens!
Chills, absolute chills. The voice, the tune, the lyrics, all utter perfection. The story of Ranni is one of my favorites in the whole game and I just loved everything about this song. It truly fits her perfectly. Great work to both Gavin and Sharm.
Much softer than the other two and I think that's perfect. Ranni's ending was my first one (though it was a pain to unlock) and Blaidd is one of my favorite characters. Another kickass song. Keep it up!
Pre registered this one and love this one I think this is my favorite Elden Ring songs gotta say the entirety of this song gave me chills the vocals and composition are absolutely catchy and the callback to Fallen Leaves is really cool love how all three songs share part of the melody , Incredible Ranni song Gav and Sharm have a marvelous day 🤘 on
Okay I don't know if anyone pointed this out but it's genius In Moonlight Blue the text goes "With a watchful gaze on the skyline We look to the sweep of the stars My friend through many long lifetimes I guide your way from afar" and in Fallen Leaves the text goes "And the branches of gold on the skyline Reach out to the sweep of the stars The beginnings and endings of lifetimes A guidance of light from afar" Although the text is slightly different, it feels as if two people were singing about the same stuff from a different perspective. I don't know if it happens more in the songs but I thought I'd point it out.
Wow this is beautiful, I had chills throughout the song. Also this came out at the perfect timing since I finished few days ago Elden ring making me appreciate this and the previous songs even more
I don't know how you keep doing it Gav, but you've made another beautiful song that captures the essence of a complex character and world so well. As always, Sharm did a wonderful job bringing it to life, and you both demonstrate a mastery of your craft! Keep it up, you glorious bard!
I found and listened to this song not long after I started playing Elden Ring, I already kinda knew who Ranni was along with parts of her quest but not everything. Then I find and listen to this song again, after completing Ranni’s questline. Now knowing what happens to Ranni and Blaidd, this song made me get choked up and almost cry- Truly beautiful work.
I don't know how deliberate it is, but at least the opening invokes in me a lullaby vibe. It's very calming, soft and melodic, with simple and easy to absorb rhythm. Middle is more nostalgic and has a sense of loss. Ending is absolutely glorious and feels like a hymn to divine. Also, I like the structure of this song. Opens with half of a strongly symmetric chorus, two-part verse with distinct rhythmic punctuation at first and melodic legato in the second part, ends with stylistically different bridge before final chorus and coda. I believe that "Lilac&Violet" was structured in a similar way, which is... interesting, given the subject matter. Edit: And do I spy pale moon yet again? After... 6 years, if I'm not mistaken?
I’ve only listened to this one and immediately fell in love with this masterpiece. The melodies are so mystical and gracious, peaceful and yet grandiose, the lyrics feels like a poem, dexterous and beautiful. This is definitely one of, if not your best song in my opinion. Thanks you for producing such a gem!
What I've always appreciated about Gavin is his willingness to cooperate with others to make good music. Also 1st I've heard of sharm. Definitely looking her up later.
I cant stop listening to this its so magical and makes me feel so humbled as it talks of the stars, phenominal work, makes me want to live in a place like that.
Iji is kinda just as tragic as Blaidd. Had to see his friend put down because of the curse that bound him and after he learns of his death he unmasks himself to join him in death because he knew his lady was safe with her new consort
I've heard this song at minimum a hundred times. Yet, it still gives me goosebumps and when sharm hits the the high notes on darken, brings me to tears. This song beautifully encaptures the tragedy in their story. I love this song.
This deserves to play in the credits everytime you finish the game with Ranni's ending, that would make people not want to skip for sure huehue. Absolutely beautiful, not only the video itself but both of your voices and the lyrics (love how it connects to the other 2 songs as well, always fun to recognize your references). I want to say thank you, your music been a grace for me for many years, and this song came at most right time in my life, words cannot express how much respect I have for your work, continue to shine, Gavin, as you not letting me to dim.
Something I've always loved with your work: When you make a song for a series that you've already done a song for you have such amazing tone and tune matching. The songs almost fit together like puzzle pieces, just enough of a similar sound to fit yet so distinct. Keep up the amazing work
Okay, I'll say it: your soulsborne songs are the best of your songs. If some other songs may not be to my taste, I know for sure that the new track on Dark souls/Sekiro/Bloodborne/Elden ring will definitely sink into my soul and will be a great addition to the playlist. Until recently, my favorite song was Fires far, and now it's Scarlet sky. So I hope FromSoftware doesn't stop making good games so you can make even better songs based on them.
This is just beautifull. From the instrumental to the voices, the melody and the words used, this is perfect. The first song I heard from you was the hell to pay. Seeing how you've improoved through all these years makes me happy and I've always been impressed by how you nail so many genres of music. Foe me, your songs are so much more than just songs. Thanks Gavin for makig these pieces of art.

Throughout the years of me listening to your music this has to be my favourite song you've made. I listened to it constantly on a vacation and its what got me to do the Ranni questline. Now after finishing the quest it makes the song even more awesome for me. Thank you Miracle of Sound and Sharm for making such an amazing song.
absolutly stunning. I stay in awe how you tend to writes hymns andd not just songs. Each and everyone of them catching the very essence of the game or of the story of each individual character so astonishing and perfectly through and through. My favourite tends to be Ascension for Divinity 2... your track actually brought me into buying the game and playing trough it with my wife. Thanks for your mindbending work and i hope for many hymns about different lands and people to come.
The method by which she pronounces the words she sings is in perfect tandem with the music. Carries a hint of Nightwish vibes. This is beautiful on many levels, but that alone shows the talent behind this piece.
Your fallen leaves song is what convinced me to buy elden ring, and it was well worth it. Thank you for your beautiful music I love the mixed rhythms from both songs, the fallen leaves buildup And blaidd singing like radahn rythum

I also remember this melody in Fallen Leaves but it doesn't have any lyrics, and if I'm not mistaken they are the same.
No you are right and there is lyrics for it:
Moonlight Blue:
With a watchful gaze on the skyline
We look to the sweep of the stars
My friend through many long lifetimes
I guide your way from afar
Fallen Leaves:
And the branches of gold on the skyline
Reach out to the sweep of the stars
The beginnings and endings of lifetimes
A guidance of light from afar
Even similar lyrics.
You are correct, that melody is in all 3 songs, albeit with small differences 😊
It's one of the things I love about Gav doing these "series songs". Listening to the throughline.
Check out the Assassin's Creed and Metro songs for them done more or less explicitly.
I noticed the second half of the first verse in both this and fallen leaves have similar cadences when referencing the ‘sweep of the stars’
Such is the curse of the Shadowbound Beast
Gavin’s lyrics are always such pure poetry.
Thank you ❤️
@@miracleofsound You’re welcome good sir. You have a true bard’s soul.
~A looooooong time fan.
Miracle of Sound and Sharm is an almost unfair combo, these two mesh spectacularly. The song's not 2 days old and it's already among my favourites of 2022. Excellent track!
How do you always manage to compose such catchy tunes? I almost only listen to your music. Great work!!!
This one was one of the less difficult ones to write, actually! The title was the first thing I came up with so the melody around those 2 words kind of wrote itself. It came very naturally. If only it were always that easy, haha!
@@miracleofsound now we just need Godfrey or malenia
This song is so beautiful that I cried.
Ranni's ending is the most deep and well constructed of all endings, and as a character she certainly shines above the rest. As for Blaidd, I was so saddened when the fingers made him go mad that I stopped playing for a few days, at least his death was not in vain, and Ranni could kick out the Greater Will from the Lands Between. :c
Beautiful song, sounds like a lullaby before the eternal darkness
This song is so good it made me go outside and touch grace.
I really love Ranni’s design, classical with a unique fae and I’ll like twist. She is magnificent!
The voice of Gav layered with the one of Sharm singing about Blaidd and Ranni was so epic. A tragic and yet beautiful alliance, perfectly represented in the song.
The "Here's to you" gets me every time. And I'm very hard to please when it comes to music. This gives me emotions on so many levels. Thank you!
You've outdone yourself again! Sharm's Voice is so beautiful and it fits so well with the theme of the song. Especially loved the callback to Fallen leaves during: 0:59 to 1:17. Always love when that happens!
Well spotted! The melody in the middle section is also in both previous songs, albeit in slightly different forms
Now I'm curious how those section would sound if they are layered over each other
It's so obvious after you pointed it out, but I didn't catch the connection myself.
This song is magical. Both the vocalists sound amazing.
Chills, absolute chills. The voice, the tune, the lyrics, all utter perfection. The story of Ranni is one of my favorites in the whole game and I just loved everything about this song. It truly fits her perfectly. Great work to both Gavin and Sharm.
This is absolutely incredible gav!!! And I love the subtle nods to fallen leaves and scarlet sky!!! An absolute masterpiece!!!!
Much softer than the other two and I think that's perfect. Ranni's ending was my first one (though it was a pain to unlock) and Blaidd is one of my favorite characters. Another kickass song. Keep it up!
Pre registered this one and love this one I think this is my favorite Elden Ring songs gotta say the entirety of this song gave me chills the vocals and composition are absolutely catchy and the callback to Fallen Leaves is really cool love how all three songs share part of the melody , Incredible Ranni song Gav and Sharm have a marvelous day 🤘 on
Okay I don't know if anyone pointed this out but it's genius
In Moonlight Blue the text goes
"With a watchful gaze on the skyline
We look to the sweep of the stars
My friend through many long lifetimes
I guide your way from afar"
and in Fallen Leaves the text goes
"And the branches of gold on the skyline
Reach out to the sweep of the stars
The beginnings and endings of lifetimes
A guidance of light from afar"
Although the text is slightly different, it feels as if two people were singing about the same stuff from a different perspective. I don't know if it happens more in the songs but I thought I'd point it out.
Praise the moon and stars!
Shame on you, sweet Nerevar!
I wish I could play Elden Ring.
@@ammarsalim1185 Me too, maybe one day or beautiful night (when the moon will light) we will do it
@@jakubpilarski2102 when I can afford a system that can run it, I will be a happy happy man.
Enchanting indeed
Wow this is beautiful, I had chills throughout the song. Also this came out at the perfect timing since I finished few days ago Elden ring making me appreciate this and the previous songs even more
First time I heard the final mix I got goosebumps too. Sharm did a wonderful job :)
So just remembered this song exists, time to listen to it on repeat over and over and over again.
I admit I already listened to this on Spotify last night. Fantastic song. Thank you for the great music.
I don't know how you keep doing it Gav, but you've made another beautiful song that captures the essence of a complex character and world so well. As always, Sharm did a wonderful job bringing it to life, and you both demonstrate a mastery of your craft! Keep it up, you glorious bard!
Wow, combining Fallen Leaves with Scarlet Sky was a genius idea.
I love the little like, melodic references towards falling leaves.
And Scarlet Sky from 2:43 ish
The connection between this song and "Fallen Leaves" is amazing! Shows how paths of an unknown Tarnished intertwined with Ranni's
Such a beautiful and catchy song 🖤🔥
I found and listened to this song not long after I started playing Elden Ring, I already kinda knew who Ranni was along with parts of her quest but not everything.
Then I find and listen to this song again, after completing Ranni’s questline.
Now knowing what happens to Ranni and Blaidd, this song made me get choked up and almost cry-
Truly beautiful work.
This is a fckng piece of art that should be played inside every single museum. Congratulations¡¡ I Can really feel Ranni and Blaidd when u both sing
Which bit is pale moon?
An amazing piece, it's amazing how you guy's sing out the feelings and express them in these songs. Love you guys . ❤️❤️❤️
Oh man when the hook hit with the same cadence as Scarlet Sky... Chef's kiss
Genuinely a masterpiece, its just so fitting that I can't put it into words other than: brilliance
I just... got no words. Gav, Sharm, Liz, other guys who take a part in this song, thank you so much
God... I don't even know how to describe how amazing these Elden Ring songs have been mate
Another song to listen on repeat!
What I've always appreciated about Gavin is his willingness to cooperate with others to make good music. Also 1st I've heard of sharm. Definitely looking her up later.
You and Sharm are amazing as alway, keep the Elden Ring songs coming!
I've never played this game but the environments look so beautiful. Also great job with the song. This was awesome.
Im addicted to this song
I’ve been waiting a long time for this one. THANK YOU!!!! By the way you're inspire me to created video on my channel like you do.
I cant stop listening to this its so magical and makes me feel so humbled as it talks of the stars, phenominal work, makes me want to live in a place like that.
Here's to you Iji and Blaidd
Rest forever here in our hearts
Iji is kinda just as tragic as Blaidd. Had to see his friend put down because of the curse that bound him and after he learns of his death he unmasks himself to join him in death because he knew his lady was safe with her new consort
I've heard this song at minimum a hundred times. Yet, it still gives me goosebumps and when sharm hits the the high notes on darken, brings me to tears. This song beautifully encaptures the tragedy in their story. I love this song.
First MoS song which made me cry
I didn’t play Elden Ring, I just like how this song sounds
This deserves to play in the credits everytime you finish the game with Ranni's ending, that would make people not want to skip for sure huehue.
Absolutely beautiful, not only the video itself but both of your voices and the lyrics (love how it connects to the other 2 songs as well, always fun to recognize your references). No clue how you both manage to always do such a fine job, i guess love for your work does that! Take care and cheers from Brazil :>
So happy to hear another collaboration between Miracle of Sound and Sharm.
amazing song, both voices are amazing too. There are no words to describe it...
I want to say thank you, your music been a grace for me for many years, and this song came at most right time in my life, words cannot express how much respect I have for your work, continue to shine, Gavin, as you not letting me to dim.
That is a new color of Sharm I've never heard before! Amazing!
She sang beautifully on this one 😊
@@miracleofsound It's easy to sing from my heart on your songs Gav 💙
A perfect tribute to my Queen! That brief duet really stirred the emotion and the whole song perfectly captures her determination.
The games are just very inspiring! I love writing about those stories
The haunting yet full of shine and melody lyrics, and the rhythm of the song. Truly a beauty worthy of the stars themselves. Great song.
This was tear-bringing, I gladly await a song for the Prince of Death: Godwyn.
I love that there’s a shared leitmotif between all three songs, and yet all three have such a different tone and “voice.” Phenomenal!
That is officially 3/3 in the goosebumps department. I love the callbacks to the previous songs too, phenomenal as always 💖
This song sounds outright gorgeous, I legitimately can't think of another way to describe it.
😖😖🤩🤩 INCREDIBLE!
I swear, every piece you do is absolutely beautiful. I've been following your music for over a decade and have never once been disappointed by a release, you're incredibly talented, as are the artists you work with!
Thanks for sticking around!
I cried
I normally don't really check out a MoS song unless I know the game it's from.
...I think that may have been a mistake. This was *beautiful*.
I used to think the same until I gave *Wake The White Wolf* a listen.
Beautiful song, and brilliant performance! Thank you!
It’s like ranni is singing this herself! And Blaidd too!
In my opinion one of the most beautiful songs I have heard in a very long time.
Another masterpiece, I love this game
despite not playing the game, this feels VERY fitting.... i really like it
absolute masterpiece
It's a new "Paleblood moon" to me: a true masterpiece to listen again and again! Thank a lot!!!!
The method by which she pronounces the words she sings is in perfect tandem with the music. Carries a hint of Nightwish vibes.
This is beautiful on many levels, but that alone shows the talent behind this piece.
Absolutely incredible
Your fallen leaves song is what convinced me to buy elden ring, and it was well worth it. Thank you for your beautiful music
I love the mixed rhythms from both songs, the fallen leaves buildup
And blaidd singing like radahn rythum
You just never miss. Never.
Holy shit this song is beautiful
Another masterpiece. Every time you release something I just play it on my 4k tv, alone, taking everything in. From start to finish, had tears in my eyes...
Miracle of sound and sharm is a crossover i never thought id see and never knew how much i wanted
They collab quite a lot! My personal faves are Machine Hearts and Soul of Sand.
wow... hauntingly beautiful with the use of the instruments and vocals. Instant favourite already.
