I don't remember hearing that alarm in other videos of this crossing which just had Yodalarms. That alarm sounds like a smoke detector that had gone faulty. However, the squeaky alarm seems to have gone to a higher tone.
The large weird alarm has only recently been fitted, and the squeaky alarm sounds higher pitched because yodalarms tend to do so on hotter days, especially in the summer.
I thought they were going to use a new Yodalarm that doesn't sound faulty after the last one broke. I honestly would been okay with an E2S alarm replacing the faulty one. Then there would 4 crossings in the UK with the unique alarm setup. But unfortunately, and I am guessing you know already. The Swatlands yodalarm went faulty and was replaced with another E2S alarm.
Blimey! Wouldn't expect that at all. Not only a YA50, but also set on the 'Din', fire alarm tone. The alternating tone on it would sound exactly the same as the YA30s.
Sounds like a german fire alarm by DIN standard 33404. Sounds good, but I like the actual alarm sound from the UK level crossings even better (High-Low).
Thank you! 👍 This alarm was very oddly put in to replace an alarm that went faulty to the point it produced a continuous flat tone (check out my video of this crossing from January that year to hear the dying predecessor to this odd alarm installation). I wonder how long this strange larger alarm will last here...
Quite an odd alarm, and I'm not a fan of it sadly. One of the other alarms is quite high pitched compared to other level crossings. Lots of 12 carriages services here as well :) Good video
Sounds like a fire escape door alarm, would love to hear that on a double pass 😄

Very Nice Video!!😁👍🏻 That’s a pretty weird alarm to have at a Level Crossing.
Thank you! It didn't last too long though.

I would never have expected that, especially set to that setting either. 👍

Wow, that is a very wired alarm. Is it going to be changed❓
Great video by the way😉
Thank you! 👍

Sounds like aliens are invading.👽😆
The two alarms heard together sound like a rave track.🎶😆
Great video train
Greetings from indonesia
Thanks! Hello from the UK 🇬🇧 👍
Nice video! What an odd alarm.
It sure is! Thanks!
Great video
Thanks 👍
Unusual sound 😁 but sounds cool 😁

Good video
Thank you! I'm not keen on the sound the large alarm makes either. There were quite a lot of 12 car trains running on this day
One alarm is so quiet and the other is on the wrong tone!
Yeah the alarms here are very funny as they are. Very odd combination 👍
Great video
Thanks! Glad you're enjoying the videos! 👍👍
