Even out of context this scene is amazing. You feel the threat of the antagonist, the position they in and the bravery of the protagonists. Dope scene, dope movie, dope game.
I remember hearing they were gonna scrap this scene because the Director Walter and Writers could not figure out what to do. It was originally them doing a staredown but felt it was too bland. They were rushed on set and were low on money around the end. Until David brainstormed an idea and gathered midget bottles on the shore. They were confused and he went on set with them on his fingers, and did this scene in one go. They were holding back laughter on set but tried to keep serious. Walter thought this scene was genius and kept it in. David thought of the idea because when he was a kid, he had Bullies who would knock on his window and yell "DAVID, COME OUT TO PLAY-YAY!"

"Warriors, come out to play."
Iconic and still to this day, CREEPY.
My favorite movie of all time. Never a bad time to throw this classic on.
Dang you, Tari Eason! 😂😂😂
My poor parents had to hear my sisters and I sing this insane song all summer after the movie came out.
That was great funny reference from Eason and perfect answer from 30😅
That dude from the “Rocket Bench” brought me here 🤣🤣

Such a brilliant scene. So simple and just amazing! One of the BEST MOVIES EVER!!!
41 year old film nerd that watched The Warriors for the first time this morning. I always knew about the “warriors, come out to play line”, but never knew about the bottles clinking for 40 seconds before. Epic scene and a great movie.
