Fusion 360 - Emboss Text on complex curved surface

  • This video shows a simple and flexible method to emboss text on complex surface like a sphere. The Emboss tool in Fusion 360 only allows to emboss sketch profiles on flat or one-sided curved surfaces. But there are workarounds.

      @@murxs1st Might it be possible to do a short video, explaining/showing how you did the egg?
      I'm struggling to create the constrained sketch for that kind of shape. Though, my shape is I guess more basic.
      I had two circled lofted to each other. lower circle of 60mm, top circle 70mm with a 60mm height difference between those circles.
      There are no curves at this moment, so it's all straight. I hope this makes some sense to you.
      Anyhow, I'd like to see more videos from you soon!

      @@Spookjuhh The egg itself is a spline on the YZ-Plane with both endpoints at the Z-Axis and then revolved around the Z-Axis. But its actually not fully constrained. If you want to have it fully constrained you have to constrain each fit point of the spline as well as their handle length and angle to any axis on that plane.
      I gonna do my best making a video to that shortly.
