How Healthy Boundaries Will Save America.

  • The culture war is affecting us all. Conservative versus liberal, right versus left... It feels like it never ends! Instead of feeding into it the political mania, here I'll propose how creating healthy boundaries can save us from all the craziness.

    This video was *excellent* , both in production quality and the message. The blend of two completely different concepts (cooking and social commentary) really helped create a comfortable environment to sit and listen. Speaking from personal experience, I absolutely agree with the message. Creating healthy boundaries is crucial to lasting relationships, both friendship and otherwise. I truly believe this could really help people on both sides of the isle, as you suggest.

    I think Boundaries vary a lot from person to person, but remember this golden rule:
    If you feel uncomfortable, tired, stressed, angry, or generally unhappy with a behavior: Set a boundary! Its your life, and if someone is making you feel uncomfortable, tell them and make it clear you aren't comfortable with that.

    I loved everything about the video. Your humor is genuinely funny and not abnoxious. The way you present your ideas seems sincere and honest, that combined with the lovely meal really differentiates your content, speaking about important and serious subjects while having another action in the form of cooking to act as a relaxing friendly element in a conversation. And I think the comparison regarding how the steak should be properly cooked really intertwined greatly with the message of not being blind to one side only, rather it's the different perspectives that help create the perfect meal, the good outcome, the truth.
    Great Job!

    The younger generations (or older ones, for that matter) were never taught how to disagree with people. There isn't a person on this planet that will agree with you on everything, you have to learn to respect, compromise and co-exist with one another. Also, not everything needs to be inclusive, no one is obligated to give an opinion on every single subject. Everyone should have the freedom to not have a stance on a certain subject without being ridiculed.

    As a people pleaser this hits hard. (It's a guilt complex because my birth alone created some really, really bad consequences for some people, my mother was a criminal sociopath and dad wasn't). But it's right. Every time I follow this urge to solve shit for others or help people, I get used, then people expect me to be there all the time automatically while my problems or topics are always glanced over or full out ignored, and in the end I get thrown away. Even by those who claimed to 'love' me. Without boundaries it's like to swim in acid. Over time there is less and less left. Sometimes I think I would glagly die saving the world, just to have one person say: "Good you where here."

    • @erroneousfax9351
      @erroneousfax9351 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@glamoroushype8568 I never said he stated that’s right. I’m saying the opposite in fact, because he’s making a massive and unjustifiable leap that a man with depression and declining health in his 60s deciding to go for assisted euthanasia means Canada’s culture “deep down” believes that disability is enough if a reason to put someone down and that it’s “not far enough removed” from putting disabled people down en mass for being disabled. It’s not just a massive leap, it’s also inherently dishonest since Prophet leaves out the fact that Nichols’ hearing loss wasn’t his only physical ailment, he’d been having heavy mobility issues, been suffering strokes, and dealt with other lingering health problem since he was a child like poor liver health and high blood pressure. Not to mention to other inconsistencies with the family’s story I don’t think Prophet *meant* to leave out since you have to do some digging to find, but still adds way more layers to the story, like Nichol’s brother, Wayne, claiming he and their other brother, Gary, were taking care of him full time but then pointing to the event that landed him the hospital in the first place, which was paramedics finding him malnourished on the floor of his apartment after his neighbors raises the alarm. A few people have pointed it out already but if anyone was actually caring for him full time like they claimed, how would he have ended up so malnourished that paramedics would need to be called?
      It just doesn’t sit well with me that Prophet’s clearly very able to make well articulated and reasonable vids like this but then posts dishonest clickbait videos like that short back to back. He’s only exploded in the past couple months and imo it seems like he’s trying to ride the wave while he can with controversial content like that instead if making a reasonable point like this.

    Ive been learning a healthy boundary at work for 2 years now. I just turned a down parttime work offer from my 2nd job because it would have messed up my week schedule and put sticks between the wheels around the people I work with. Even though it wouldve been +10k more a year in overall, it would have made my work environment probable hell. Saying no felt like a stone has been lifted from my heart because even though I love both of my jobs, I have priority to the other one because its my main job I graduated into. Stress is stress and I cannot outstress myself in work where I have to keep my cool constantly since its a social work. I have been constant Yes-man past years and ive just recently learned to put some break as work had started to accumulate physical condition due to overworking myself.
    Even when i declined my offer, it didnt change my relationship with my other employer, infact he still wanted to keep me as I have been loyal to the company nearly a decade now.

    This is exactly what our generation needs to come together more woke free or political free as we are all stuck in a loop of cultural politics and this is exactly what we need for every content creator.

    What i like most about this content creator is that he doesnt shove something down your throught... unless its food.... and that while he is talking to you he gives off the same type of vibe as ryan renolds ...just the way he holds himself and speaks idk maybe im wrong but he has an inviting aura that comes through the screen... making one feel safe with your thoughts on a subject
    ... loved the video

    Nice mix. I really like what you have to say about a great many topics and societal issues and now that I know you cook, I'm a huge fan. I've worked in professional kitchens for 15 years so this speaks to me on two levels.
