Literally the worst digimon game 😂 As a child a played it all the way through to the end and never got another ability or digivolution and I was even using the guide. You had to like beat it on hard mode or something stupid to get an actual digivolution and then all ur stats were reset...

It's bad game design to have you grind your a single skill over 1k times to unlock the next ability and to lock transformations behind hidden quests that would today be considered rare achievements. Beating the game on hard mode was literally one of the easier ways.
I both love, and hate 3. I love the mechanics, and the story is okay. I hate the early quests where they don't tell you anything about what you need to do. You just have to run around and hope you find something if you're not using a guide. 4 was fun, but also bad. 2 is annoying, because it has an interesting premise, but too many clunky systems attached. I tried 1 because it was pitched to me as being basically like the tomagatchi style digivice thing that I found on the side of the road. Didn't like it.
Cyber sleuth is better... but my main issue with world 3, much nostalgia as I have for it, way, way too much grinding and the American release removed the post game tournament... like wtf, why?
@@metageek7878 Grinding in RPGs is pretty standard. I think the purpose of all of the backtracking was to reduce meaningless grinds by making you have some time where you'd be fighting things, but a better solution would have been to not make you backtrack as much, and just make the rewards for encounters the first time have more impact

I literally had to fight some easy tamers in the early parts of the game before the level difficulty jump straight to NIGHTMARE/HELL MODE in the latter half of the story. Or at least, as early as West Sector is unlocked for card battling. I had to grind for Cardmons and such to get certain cards to power up my deck. Otherwise, I can't win anything anymore. There's a lot of promise with the card battling, as I love and hated it at the same time. I like it on par with Triple Triad from FF8.
World 1 and 3 are my childhood. Opted for 2 over 3 because it had a sneak peek for the new seasons monsters, the spirits agunimon. 4 is the nightmare….
Nope. Digimon World 3 had Agunimon if you use DNA digivolution with Greymon and that pirate Digimon (forgot the name, its the one where Monmon digivolve into in Digimon World 3).
@@BossBasher digivolutions were unlocked through nightmarish missions and 2 of them are almost impossible challenges which are: Complete Retrieve booster pack with *1HP* on hard and very hard Complete seal the evil within 10 minutes Worst of all, your level dont carry over digivolutions (everyone starts at level 1) To get signature weapon you need to beat the game without saving or reseting your console and their signatures doesnt carry over other difficults (means if get on hard mode, you wont be able to use on another difficult)

I liked Digimon World 4 because I had a friend and my sister to play with... plus i like challenges and grinding till i can no longer hold a controller.
I loved Digimon world 1 so god damn much. I just got the one re-released on switch and it's pretty similar. Same Tomodachi type thing with evolution chain. It is a pain in the ass, but if you're a grinder you'll like it.
I'm playing it on my phone, legendary game, love it but a bit tricky, because of the money and the food (my digimon always end up with 1kg lol) and Tyrannomon eats waaay too much for my Financial availability 😂😂😂
I had Digimon World 3! I loooved it! I never got to beat it though, my game cracked in half somehow and back then there was no finding it again to replace it. I absolutely wish I could replay this game again! My heart would be so happy! ❤
digimon world 1 really have potential with it's visual. It's very refreshing to look at, well the cons is that rising the digimon to ultimate takes around 10 days with 5 to 8 days shelf life
Digimon World 4 was my first Digimon World game..... let's just say that when i got Re Digitized as a kid i didn't even realise it was in the same series of games
My issue with it is that it was hack n slash which made no sense & had no place in a series that was RPG focused in 1 way or another for its whole existence
I wish there was an open world digimon game with a good story, where you can switch between worlds, finding digi eggs in secret areas like caves in the digital world, digimons don't die from age. In battle digi evolution like in the anime where you can digi evolve into any of it's lines which has advantage against the enemy you are facing, select the digivice in the beginning, character creation, can talk to our digimon and maybe add an online feature where you can battle other tamers and exchange eggs like in pokemon. This would be an epic game for sure.
4 was fine if youve never tried any of the other digimon games so i understand however if im ranking it based on my opinion of gameplay id say 1.DW 2.DW3 3.DW2 (i like dungeon crawlers okay?) 4.DW4

Please, we have to do something to get the creators to release Digimon World 1 and 2003 in some version. I can't take it anymore. I have to think about these games every day. It would be best if they now put the original versions online (Psn Store, Nintendo Store etc.) and work on the remakes/remastered versions, I would pay 80€ for each of these versions.
Dont worry the Chef of Digimon Games said there are planned many new Digimon Games and Remakes for the best old Digimon Games. And that probably includes Digimon World 1 and 3. And maybe some Ports like Digimon Re:Digitize. Maybe even some Nintendo Digimon Games like Dawn and Dusk.

Tbf to DW4, it was really fun to play with a friend And I put probs too many hours as a kid into DW3 which was my first digimon game along with Digimon Rumble Arena 1, which is why I want a remake of DW3 to put even more hours as an adult

Bandai of America also called a bunch of games "Digimon World" despite not being a part of the series in Japan. There are no real Digimon World games for the Nintendo DS.
Sad part is, some of them didn't even make it to the US. Like, Lost Evolution, and the Super Xros Wars Red and Blue. I would've loved to play Lost Evolution on the 3DS.

Ah strategy guides, the age before the internet. DW3 strategy guide had me pulling my hair out as a kid as I wanted Veemon, but could never figure out how to get him. Turns out the SG was giving me the wrong information. Also reminds me of the time I accidently bought a Prima guide for Pokemon Emerald, kid me didn't realize all they did was take screenshots from Sapphire (pretty sure just it) and noted with tips on what was different in Emerald.
Digimon world 4 was ooookay by yourself, but some of my best memories was me and my best friend in middle school staying up late playing that game together lol
Years later and these games (Plus Digimon Digital Card Battle) are still my absolute favorite games of all time. I still remember the day I took a chance on hiring Digimon World 1 at my local video rental. For ages I didn't know how to play it right and kept getting Numemon and Sukamon 🥲 But then I started doing the Medium Disc trade route and would buy I think the Mojyamon item from the Mojyamon guy. At least if I remember correctly. I never could quite get looking after them right for years (Getting the stats and requirements for different Digivolutions) till I grew up a bit more and my brain probably developed a little more. So when I was younger I mostly just relied on Digivolution items. But I've always loved that each time I come back I'm older and have an easier time doing things I used to find so challenging. This actually made my day seeing someone talk about these games 🥹
Digimon world 1 was the most fun ever, but I also gotta be honest, I loved playing Digimon world 4 with my brother growing up. When going back to it a few years ago I realised how horrible that game could be 😂. Could have been amazing with some tweaking imo 🤷♂️
