    people dont realize playing this game actually trains the player, you go through the 5 stages of grief over and over again until you become immune and you suddenly realize that hey its not too bad.. just like in real life, if something bad happens, move away from what makes you unhappy and start over

      Moving away would just be to stop playing it and go play Cyber Sleuth instead, right? 😂
      Yeah it tries to make you feel tied to these Digimon and get very sad when they day so you're ready to grind them up again for hours. You're too numb to realize all the time you are wasting.

    I think what a lot of people don't know is how overpowered STA really is. You can have Rookies with 3000+ STA grind the WarGrowlmon (Orange) enemies for a single in-game day or two, all while eating Seraphimon's food every so often, and by then my STA would probably be at least 5500+ to 6000+. After that, I continue to grind in the inner core of Infinite Cauldron where you find a Meteormon, Datamon, and WaruSeadramon for another day or two, until I hit at least 8500+. Then finally I grind the GranKuwagamons at the end of Infinite Cauldron and possibly grind the Dimensional Dungeons if I have time. By then, every single other stat will be a breeze.

      Stamina is strong. If you can take a hit, with patience you can beat anything. I find it quite interesting how many people have such different training spots I've never tried. When I pick up the game again I may have to try them.

    Im running on my 3rd gen rookie, age 1&2 days and got around 2500-3000 stats for both of them now. Trying to reach at least 8500-9000 stats hopefully this guide will help me achieve that. :)
    I have tips for whoever starting this game. I use this tips and it works for me.
    1st gen just do whatever you want. Explore this gameplay and try to understand how this game work with your gen 1. Only 1 target for this stage is clear chapter 1. Because in chapter 2 you can open many place that will be helpfull for you to grinding your next gen digimon.
    2nd gen you train your digimon with many guide around the youtube you can easily reach stat around 3-4k at your digimon. Usualy when your digimon start digivolve to champion. Then stop grinding and start progress from there. These stats is ok for mid game - open infinite cauldron on chapter 4. (2nd gen is where i got my population growth from 15-105) after i open infinite cauldron my digimon age 20&21 and i can wait them to die peacefully. They already do a lot for me. :')
    The last for 3rd gen. (While im still doing this by myself) focus on grinding and try to reach highest stat you can get. Im targetting around 8-9k. And try lock your digivolution so you can get your dream MEGA digimon and good if you can get your first DNA digivolution there. 3rd gen objective is clearing all end game story and post game. Including dimension when you figthing many MEGA digimon to become your citizen..
    Thats it. You can finish this game by far only with 3rd gen digimon. Thats my sharing. Happy grinding. :)

      @Rordrik  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      By your 3rd gen you should easily be able to use this guide to reach those goals if you are willing to put in the time grinding them up.
      As for your advice for this first couple generations that sounds pretty solid. This game can be quite complicated so getting your bearings and any progress is good in the first couple gens.

    This made the difference. I went from a chaosdukemon and Dynasmon with 30,000 Hp, 20,000 mp and 4000+ prior to following your guide to a shinegreymon and metal garururmon with 50,000 HP and MP and 8000+ stats to beat the base game then I evolved them to Omegamon Alter-B and shinegreymon achieving max stats in the post game. Currently they are Chaosmon and DukemonCM once again at max stats. So yes thanks for this guide I will be using it every time I do the grind in the future. Though I hope in the next digimon world style game they just give the partner digimon a base level to scale the difficulty instead of chaotic stat
    insanity that is hard for the devvs and players to balance the difficulty around. That way your digimon gets stronger each generation while encouraging experimentation

    • @Rordrik
      @Rordrik  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you could make it into the max stat club. We welcome you.
      I mean with Tamer skills your Digimon do get stronger, but yeah allowing more different builds and options to work would be more fun. I mean using a quick move and buffs is so much stronger than just about anything else that you can use. It would be nice if more things were viable to make the grind a little less samey.

    • @zettas1157
      @zettas1157 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Rordrik agreed. I figure if your partners have a base level and evolution to give it fixed stats throughout the game it would fix the pacing problems and take away the feelings of Lowe and anxiety of losing out on inherited stats. A level 50 Birdramon for example would have fixed stats just like a typical rpg but you would still learn moves. My idea has evolutions being unlocked based on what you fight though level requirement could lock some routes in the early game although turning into a royal knight like Gankoomon in chapter 1 was appealing. As for the gym I wouldn’t get rid of it just repurpose it. Instead of it increasing base stats I think the gym should be a daily stat bonus to give your partner a bit of an extra edge but it is not required just something extra you could upgrade. My final idea is a digimemory system. Any adult evolution or higher can be evolved into once or twice a day in battle with a digimemory chip equipped to your partner. If your digimon were say Tyranomon in its previous cycle you unlock the tyranomon chip and can use it as a form in combat. A child or adult can use an adult chip. Adult and perfect a perfect chip and so on and so forth. This way the player can personalize their digimon with their favorite evolutions while unlocking new ones as well as having more access to the moves in the game(so I guess in the menu you’d have to assign moves to a given digimemory) these are the three big ideas I had tell me what you think

    • @Rordrik
      @Rordrik  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@zettas1157 1) I don't think they would ever do fixed stats, that is what the other games like Story are for. Plus if you had to grind for levels I don't see how that would really be different than grinding for stats, unless you want to use it to help balance things better.
      2) The gym already isn't needed. That is what this guide is all about. Though in all the other World games it is the center piece of training. So yes having one where a nice mix or way they could work together would be nice to mix things up. Increase stat gains of one type for the day or whatever.
      3) DigiMemories were already done in ReDigitize, but you seem to be looking for something different than those. I assume to make things easier a DigiMemory would just have whatever moves that Digimon had last time you used them since it is a memory. Though if you had a favorite form you kept going back to that would probably lower the amount of variety, but it is a choice to do so.

      That seems to be part of the allure of the games is to start over and train up something new, but I don't get it. It already has on this playthrough. One thing I probably missed and I do apologise asking, but my Digi's evolved to Ultimates whilst fighting the Growlmon and I kind of get diminished returns, is there something I can do to fix that? Or just go to the next enemy?

    • @Rordrik
      @Rordrik  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@stefanjackson1127 Yeah, as your Digimon get to higher stages of evolution it becomes harder for them to gain stats from many things. Being Ultimate at that point it is hard to get maximum gains so you have to upgrade to tougher enemies. As you can see in the video I was fighting them with rookies.
      Though sometimes the higher enemies are too tough for your stats. At that point the gym/restaurant might be enough to help you recover, but it might be tough to train too much more in that generation.

      The only game where your stage might matter less to determine your stats are the DS games. It is strange.

    I finished the game! Would like to thank you for putting this video - I had a hard time in PS4 back then lol. This time only the training period is hard the rest are smooth. 1st gen - it is hard to follow this guide step by step due to very low early stats. Gen 2 partially, yes. 3rd Gen is when I was able to follow this guide when I maxed out the Boost parameter after battle (watched your other video on Tamer Skills). I trained both my rookies (chapter 3) then faced a bottleneck between Orange WGrwlm and Blk WGrmon. I reached the last day of my Champions so I decided to DNA Digivolved stingmon to Paildramon (5k~5.5k stats) then XVeemon returned to Veemon with 2.5K stats. Grinded Veemon again to 6K stats. I rushed Chapter 3 and was able to reach Infinite Cauldron while I'm still Veedramon (champion). Basically, I have Paildramon and Veedramon when I started to get access to Infinite Cauldron. Right now, my 3rd gen digimons are still alive thanks to Seraphimon and turned them into Imperialdramon PM and Omegamon Alter -B (90K+ HP/MP and 9999 stats). Now, I'm confused what to do next - either I let them die to go for other digimon or try new game (hard). lol.
    Gen 1 and Gen 2, for me, the goal is basically to unlock as much area and tamer skills as possible.

    • @Rordrik

      I am glad my guides were able to help. 3rd generation is about when I figured most people would be able to follow this guide. There is post game content as well past beating the cauldron so you should still have plenty to do. Though I will also warn you that hard mode only reduces the gains your Digimon receive in training in the gym and in combat, it does not change damage taken or anything like that.
      I really should DNA some Digimon besides just using ExE so I learn that. I honestly haven't really touched that mechanic in any of my playthroughs.

    I am on my first gen and reached 4K stats.
    Trick is get "BLOCK/Defend" tamer skill on your first rookie day,
    By recruiting patamon, palmon, kuwagamon, wormon and numemon, also by collecting materials.
    Use your low levels digi as Auto Pilot by killing them, which forces you to return to town.
    After getting the skill, grind Arauramon a few times, then go to black gabumon then Numemon lvl7 at Dusk, make sure to get the single enemy only.
    Get "Stat Boost" skill as soon as possible to get +24.
    After the stats feel off go to server desert step step and kill psychemon/numemon at dusk then black garurumon.
    After that go to Mod cape and kill the Single seadramon on the lake. After the stats gain dwindles go to Faulty Ex machina East coast via Mod ship. Get the single Orange Wargrowlmon, Grind until done.
    This is the best Grind you can have at early game.

    Thanks for the guide! I just bought this game on PC a few days ago. I am a complete beginner so I feel like I might be missing a few pointers. You mention that this strategy is not so good with a first generation of digimon, so I was wondering:
    - At what generation should I start following this guide?
    - How should I train my 1st generation of digimon? (Right now I have 2 champions at about 700-800 in each stat)
    - I see that you have rookies almost the whole video, I should mostly train when I still have rookies?
    Thank you so much!!

    • @Rordrik
      @Rordrik  ปีที่แล้ว

      This game is a bit tough to start getting your bearings, so good luck.
      1) The second generation you could probably start using this method to at least get some decent stats, but certainly not all of it. By your 3rd generation you should be good to do just about everything before the spoiler warning if you push for it.
      2) Your first generation is tough. You can get away with a little combat training, but your skills, attacks, and city just aren't good enough to support it yet. So mostly it will be training in the gym enough to get through the first few recruitments. Sadly they will never get too strong (unless you are really knowledgeable and speedrunning) so they will likely die as Ultimates. 700-800 for Champions in Gen 1 is pretty good.
      3) Especially for battle training method training early is key. As your Digimon get beyond Champion they game puts a cap on stat gains from lower stage Digimon. Therefore they are much harder to train after that point. Once fully up and running you can get Digimon with 8k+ stats when they first get to Ultimate.
      I hope that helps. Stay tuned this weekend for another beginner tip video for this game and possibly more in the future.

    honestly, battle training isn't ideal either. Sure, it' optimal in terms of ingame time, but think of how much time you're spending in real time. If you're 1-2 shotting, let's say every fight, menuing included, takes 30 seconds. From 0 stats at 100% efficiency, you need just shy of 400 fights to hit max stats. Going with 400 to account for room resetting and traveling to new areas, you are looking at 3 hours if you have all the learning skills. But the thing is, you won't always be oneshotting. You will struggle at the start of each leg of the train.
    So, what's really the best way to train? Seraphimon food. Your digimon get hungry twice a day. It's possible to get 3 times a day, even. Each time they're hungry, they will want to eat around 3 times. Buy the Salad and 2 Fruit Baskets from Seraphimon, and then go to the training hall. You want to optimize for getting back to Seraphimon for more food, and the training hall pushes time forward the fastest plus it gives stats, triple stats thanks to the salad. You will absolutely *tear* through stats very quickly. This is still slower in terms of game time for training than battle training, yes, but if you actually want to play the game and have a life to live, rather than spend 3 hours of prep just to enjoy your mons, use seraphimon performance enhancing dru- I mean, food.

    • @Rordrik
      @Rordrik  ปีที่แล้ว

      It does certainly take a lot of time, but this is what helped me to get started in the game before Seraphimon was around to even beat the first Machiendramon. The restaurant is a great help, but you need to be able to afford it and without battles or fishing I don't know how people solely rely on it. If you find ways that work for you awesome, this game can be played the way you want to. Especially in end game where you have all the skills and facilities mix things up and have fun.

      General training failures such as untreated wounds, failure to feed, and such things can help lower a Digimon's lifespan. If you fill the poop gauge they will become Sukamon which could also even things out.

If I decide to train by battles, how can I ensure that I hit precise stats for further digivolutions? Especially when it comes to intersections with other stats, probably triggering another digitation. In the gym on the other hand, I can precisely train a value to make sure I am within the "tolerance space" for wished digitation.

    • @Rordrik

      You are correct. In the early game this method would not allow you to make sure that you go down specific lines because of the stat gains. Once you get GrapLeomon to unlock the Digivolution Dojo and upgrade it to level 2 he has the ability to lock off unwanted paths. So you can disable the paths that you do not want and force the Digimon to go down your desired path even if you qualify for many.

      It means the rest of your stats are too high to get gains there. Each Digimon you train against is better at giving certain stats than others, so other gains won't always be perfect. Once you feel you are strong enough it is time to move on to the next one. The numbers given are general guidelines and will change slightly depending on the difficulty you are playing on.

      Your first generation will always be the hardest with fewer skills and attacks to be able to use. And yes if you Digivolve then the stat gains from many Digimon of your stage or lower will suddenly not give the stat gains anymore that you want to see.
      Some places that you can try between Goblimon and BlackGarurumon are the Gotsumon in the Server Desert or the RedVegimon on the way to the Mod Cape going the other way. @@Rordrik The World 1 game was not very grindy. Players can just train a while and then start exploring.
      So the "reborn cycle" part in that game feels good because we were curious to know what will our digimon evolved to, and will they digivolved to ultimate.
      And because most player doesnt know any stat requirement for digivolution, the feeling of hoping our digimon evolved into something strong is very nice.
      In short, Next Order is too Grindy than World 1. It makes the "reborn cycle" feels like a heavy chore rather than a "Train your pet Digimon a couple times a day"
      But I still like them both...

    Question: What if your two Digimon are on mega evolution with 11-12k HP and struggle to verse a level 30-40?

    Do I have to wait till they both die and reset to rookie evolution? 😅

    • @Rordrik
      @Rordrik  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sadly yes it becomes very difficult to train up once you reach Mega without having high enough stats to fight the toughest things already. The game naturally has a cap on stat gains from lower fights as you get higher stages. So with weaker megas there is only so much you can do to fix that in chapter 2. The restaurant might have some food that can help you, but the gym will be low gains and most fights will be quite tough to get any gains from.
      Sadly the best way is to start at rookies and use this method. The game is cruel if you don't train early and often.

    • @Rordrik
      @Rordrik  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When your Digimon are on different stages the younger one does get a large boost to stat gains to catch up. If you have defend you can bring along the younger one into tougher fights still. I typically try to even out their life, but you don't have many tools to do that early in the game unfortunately. So long as you have the ultimate I generally would recommend trying to progress in story and recruiting.
      The stats recommended are roughly where your gains will drop off in Str. Sta, Wis, and Speed. So for Goblimon if your Str is above 500 you will not get much Str from defeating them. Your HP and MP will be many times the other four stats as it goes up much faster.

So in the case of the gabumon once you see your stats hit 500 you will notice that you are not getting 26 points a stat after battle thats when you know to move on.

    • @Rordrik

      Stamina makes you HP go much further, so it is always powerful to put more points into that, though most battle training methods will raise just about all your stats equally. My digimon barely do 200 to 300 a hit(Unless it's the special 150 OP move) and my digimon are taking 500-600 damage in return. And they're already around 1200k on each stat on top of that! It's eating up at a lot of resources(Bits and healing items) and taking overall a lot of time.(Also yes I do have defense already, but the timing for when to activate is so janky i often fail it. On top of often the other digimon getting in front of the digimon defending in mid of a spin attack from the black garurumon, which is very annoying) Am i doing something wrong or is it normal to struggle at this point?

      This method will be difficult your first generation or two until you build up Bits and Tamer Skills. I generally don't try this all out until Gen 3.
      The reason a lot of this training has to be done as rookies is the higher stage your Digimon get the harder it is to find places to train them in battle. Especially when you get to a new Digimon in training they can hurt a lot. It isn't uncommon to need multiple healing items in the early battles. Defense works immediately after hitting the button, though if you need to chain them sometimes it can get awkward.
