I love my Skil 12-volt brushless tools. My first one was the 3/8" ratchet. It was half the price of any other ratchet, and it is rated to hand tighten to 150 lbs. I just got the inflater.
Skil is definitely shooting for redemption for their brand. I know Skil fell by the wayside awhile back but I think they earned some respect for innovation. They have been putting out some pretty good tools lately. The 40volt rear handle I just got is 🔥Cuz. Definitely going to be adding more Skil to the collection. Let’s not forget the Skilsaw Cordless Worm Drive 💪💪💪 Appreciate the vid brother. As always stay safe my friend ✊
I bought the skil 5413 6 1/2” circular saw on the 20v platform and they don’t even make the rip guide for it. I spent 3 days of phone calls before they admitted they don’t make one. For a company that’s trying for redemption, they really need to pay attention to little details. It seems the fence for the Milwaukee M18 fuel 6 1/2” will fit if anyone else is having the same issue.
@@edm.6657 hey man I appreciate you letting everyone know. I definitely want to hear about things like this. To be completely honest I have never dealt with their customer service department. That’s a big part of a brands reputation in my opinion. The way they treat the customers should definitely be priority number one
My dad is basically retired but occasionally still likes to install Custom Kitchens just to get out of the house every so often but all his tools used a extension cord until he started using my Milwaukee Tools. Now he uses Milwaukee M12 tools because they have plenty of power Plus the size makes it easier to get inside the cabinets and tight places.💯👍
Get him the instal driver…..that’s my most used m12 drill/driver….once you get use to that thing it just allows for great control and ability to get in tough spots….it’s great for driving pocket screws on a flatter angle so you don’t blow through if your driving into thin stock….
@@A6Legit it's been present on the Bosch 12V impacts for a long time. Also, my Masterforce Boost impact driver comes with a halo light and it's great. About twice as bright as my Bosch Freak 3rd gen. It's not about a patent, maybe just cost savings
Wow. I loved the dewalt drivers which adopted the tri led lights, then when gen 3 m12 Milwaukee driver came out I bought it immediately. I love this halo light. To me, it is not a gimmick when I’m in ceiling tiles with dead mice just around the corner and need as much light as possible. Love it!!
I love my DeWalt 850, The #1 setting is amazing for cabinetry when you need to set those small screws just right without ripping them out. This Skil Driver looks pretty cool though.
Great tools I got the 12 volt 5 tool combo last year at Lowes for $100 very good tools with a great warranty. It's not like my Milwaukee or Dewalt but for the money very impressed with it.

Hello 👋 VCG I like the new Skil line. If I where new to the game and just starting out Skil is not a bad place to start. I starting 30 + years ago with True Value Hardware stuff. My first line I bought was Master Mechanic brand which was Stanley Black and Decker Made in the USA Skil 🇺🇸 made in the USA back in the day. Love the video !!!!
If I wasn’t so invested in m18/m12 I would definitely give their 12v line a spin…..I see great deals on them from time to time. I’ve had good luck with my skil contractor, and 10” inch slider….they’ve both performed past their price point
Hello again Vince and Vcg Thank you for another Great Video 👍 Question for you Vince. What do you think of the Skill for installing and removing aircraft panels. Unlike the wood your used too. Sorry I forgot the function name. But it sounded like a hammer. I would be using this into metal and composite materials nut plates etc. I don't want a tool to create more work? Again thank you 😊

I personally haven’t used 12 volt before just because with my work I often times need the power that comes from 18 volt tools but I would love to try 18 volt and probably just use it on small home projects around the house.
I'm seriously considering the entire Skil 12v and 20v lineup now. The 12v tools are crazy inexpensive at Lowe's and I could get 1-2 more tools for the same money I'd pay for 2 from nearly any other brand. I dislike having 5 different tool brands, 1 or 2 tools from each and as many different chargers and sized batteries. Maybe that's OCD but I'd like to streamline to 1 brand for all indoor stuff...and all outdoor, if possible.
I would like to see a tool test with the new Milwaukee M12 screw gun verse the original Milwaukee M18 screw gun combo just to see which gun has more power. Really seems like Skil is really trying to step their game up and get back into the tool competition.💯🙏 Hope all is well Vince and the VCG gang.
I want to see this little guy against the M12 Fuel 3rd gen or the DeWalt Xtreme. I believe they're on par in torque although the M12 Fuel has the advantage on RPMs / IPMs
Halo light all the things. That tool looks great. Cooler looking, more compact thanbthe previous 1st gen model. They should out the halo light on their 18 volt impact. I really enjoy my brushless Octane Ridigid hammer drill because it's a drill with a tri-light IN the chuck. Unfortunately, they dropped this in new drills and nobody else has tried it. It's great though.
Im disappointed in the new M12 drill and impact from milwuakee, ive gone through 3 combo kits one of them having reading the batteries wrong, the second seizing up on me completely and the 3 i just got on I believe Thursday night, used it friday morning and what’s crazy is i couldve sworn fuel was brushless cuz when i was using my impact, violent sparks where being seen coming from the inside of the impact. All in all, im returning and waiting a few months to let the first batch cycle and go back and get them again. Id recommend you all do the same If u are considering buying the new M12 drill and impact
I had the OG M12 combo kit but it's been long gone in favor of more powerful tools. I still got my fair share of M12 tools but no longer an impact and drill/driver. I heard the M12 Fuel main concern is both the impact and drill get hot too quick and I don't see that helping long term. Did you experience overheating on the new tools?
I do have to say this, well maybe ask this. lol. why is Milwaukee couldn't do a light like this? I understand if it was something like a patent but even the try LEDs or anything besides what they have been running up until very recently. and now Milwaukee's behind on the batteries so what's up with that any information on Milwaukee sliding behind
