    Hard to argue with stock inclusive with electronics as standard these days but absolutely great to see Mercury Outboards moving in this direction as Evinrude had been doing for Years before having the plug pulled needlessly on that operation.
    Anyhow seating looks a tad uncomfy if even non-existent (at the moment?) but I like the idea of a full walk around on any type of working water-craft especially in the "small-ish" form factor.

    40/50/60 are all the same motor.

    So how fast is it now that it's broken in at WOT? And why a 4 blade aluminum propeller and not a 3 blade stainless steel propeller? I'm in a 17ft Aluminum Sea Ark with a 06 Mercury Optimax 115hp with a Solas 21P stainless steel. Loaded with gear and just myself 45-46 mph @ 5,800 RMP. Up to 3 people 45 mph. I've wondered if a new four stroke Mercury 115hp with a different prop would get me in the low 50's. Since the new Mercury 115hp can turn 6,300 RPM's. I hate my little tiny rod locker. Be very nice to be able to remodel it. So it would at least be user friendly. My boat has had the carpet replaced with thinker padding. But it's got some age on it now. I really like the flooring you fellas install. I most definitely need to put some of that flooring on my Ultrax foot control. On very hot days. I'm having to poor water on it and my tan colored carpet. Awesome tiny custom bass boats by the way.

    @extremeboating7347 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Very nice! I did a conversion from my 50 to a 60 on my Bass Tracker Classic XL earlier in the year and the difference is nothing short of STELLAR. I'd bet anything you'd have no problem at all turning a 16 pitch propeller on yours as I run a 15 on mine right now and run about 42 MPH @ 5950 RPM. Your speeds will likely be similar or greater. Switch out to a Trophy Sport once you are all broken in and you'll have a LIGHTNING fast holeshot (I'd probably say in your case a 2 second holeshot). If you need any help propping it let me know as there is more to the 1.0L class motor then most people know.
    Expect to see an average fuel economy of about 7.8- 8.0 MPG on your rig, but that will vary of course based on how much throttle you are giving it at all times, and also the overall weight of your rig.
    The 1.0L (40-60 HP) class Mercury is my bread and butter motor at this point when it comes to optimizing it's performance, so if you have any questions on it, feel free to ask away.
    Keep up the great content!

I also like the stainless steel water pump housing and the integral fresh water flush system, since I operate in saltwater frequently.

    The 60 is illegal for the boat - please give me a break! With all the modification done to the boat itself you would consider the whole boat illegal them. Would you be happy if he put a 50hp sticker over the 60?

  • @barryseifert6053
    @barryseifert6053 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    That is completely illegal to do.You can not legally put a 60 hp motor on a boat thats rated for 50 hp at least not here in The state of Pa.

      @ertren6, @chris Robert’s said tiny boats are built. My point is.. just because it’s built doesn’t mean it’s tiny. Big boats are built too.
      At some point the size of the boat and motor exceeds the capability of being considered “tiny”
      Is that “60hp”?
      Is that anything longer than 15’?
      Idk, I don’t make the rules, but this boat is definitely pushing the whole “tiny concept”

      @@josephdiesing8506 I feel like 16...maybe even 15 ft is pushing what a tb means, sure. But why does the motor size matter?
