This video features a SIE C651, 201/202, which is from UPD to serve NSL for the AM Rush Hours, from NS22 Orchard to NS20 Novena. This video was filmed when 201/202 was still on NSL, before returning back to do EWL Service a few days later.
201/202 would first return back into UPD when it was selected from TWD to do EWL Saturday Full Day Run 313 on 20/4/2024. Run 313 on Saturdays would return the train back into UPD after running on EWL for the entire day. Instead of running away back to EWL, 201/202 would sleep through the rest of the weekend and got deployed to run on NSL on 22/4/2024.
I was only able to catch this SIE trainset now since I was busy the day before. So happened that it is also doing Yishun Bound on the 1st Northbound Trip as this Run schedules it to, before doing the Jurong East Run later on and return back into UPD after AM Peak. Also both of the LVDT/RV SIEs were on NSL (at the point of filming), so this was the 1st one to appear on NSL before 237/238 (in maintenance) did.
Welcome back onto the tracks of NSL after spending almost 3 weeks on EWL. Loud Motor can be heard on car 2202 A1/B1. Tunnel Lights were also turned on between the whole duration of the stretch (Orchard to Novena).
