Mounting A Winch On A Golf Cart | For Deer Hunting and Trail Use

A 48-volt golf cart can be turned into a hunting machine without a lift kit. A lift kit would be nice, but this golf cart does not have one. This video shows an option where a 2500 lb winch and mounting plate can be attached after removing the front plastic-like bumper that comes standard on most club car golf carts. This golf cart has six 8-volt batteries. This setup does not prevent the remote control to the winch from working, whether or not the tow switch underneath the seat is turned on or set to run (on or off). You only need to attach the wires to one of these batteries, as seen in the video. For my own preference, I have alligator clips instead of terminal ends where the battery connections are. Since a golf cart is two-wheel drive, even with aggressive rear tires, sometimes you are going to get stuck. With a winch, that can become a temporary situation, instead of a long walk.
