To skip the problem of stripping the leaves off thyme, just put the stalks of thyme in the freezer, in a plastic bag. Just crush the frozen stalks lightly and the leaves fall off into the bottom of the bag. Remove the woody stalks and it’s all done! Keep the thyme frozen in a jar and it tastes just like fresh thyme from the garden. I also dry some of the leaves and they have a slightly different flavour.

I've been using a Diva Cup exclusively for more than 15 years, and it's great. Comfortable, never leaks, not messy, and so much more convenient than any other option I tried. It's wonderful for travel and camping, and I've saved SO much money. The first time putting it in was scary, but after that it's easy. I love that I've had 15+ years of zero-waste period care.

Good Morning, thank you sharing your grocery hauls with us. Just want to recommend these 3 Gravy mixes that I use and it just requires adding water. I always pick these up at Walmart. Morrison Country Style Peppered Gravy Mix, 24 Oz -$3.97, Southeastern Mills Onion Gravy Mix, 1.70 oz - $1.24 and Southeastern Mills Brown Gravy Mix, 1.70 oz - $0.93.
So easy to make and would go great with Instant Mash Potatoes. The Country Gravy is a winner on breakfast biscuits or, with any meal. I am looking into buying more “just add water” items on my next shopping trip. Oh, also.. the Zatarain’s Rice Dinners are a great side or added to canned beef or chicken. ( tacos or casserole? ) We really love their Cilantro and Lime Boxed Rice.

As for cider/hard cider - it’s not just overseas. I’m from Canada and didn’t realize the difference until a US friend mentioned her toddler loved ‘cider’. We refer to cider as being alcoholic and everything else as juice (filtered/unfiltered etc). Had a good laugh and discussion of regional differences at the same time! 😉😊

Fairly new subscriber and I’ve been binge watching the HECK out of your channel while at work. I have a desk job and watching your videos just makes the day more enjoyable! I went to culinary school and love cooking and food in general, it’s my biggest passion, to find someone else who is just like me in that sense and loves being in the kitchen is just so refreshing. Your channel has given me so many ideas and has just re-inspired my passion and creativity with my food. Now the main reason for my comment…..try the menstrual cup…..LIFE CHANGING! I put it over for 3 years now because honestly they scared the bejesus out of me. I made the switch to organic cotton tampons but still felt very wasteful….not to mention I have really painfully and heavy periods and I heard the cup is supposed to help reduce those symptoms….so I bought one last month and it has really changed my mind. Don’t get me wrong, a little tricky the first time, but once you get the hang of it it feels so liberating lol. Love your channel, truly obsessed! Can’t wait for more gardening content as that’s something else I’ve been Interested in trying 😊

Hi Becky - just love your channel and content. You are so much like me it's ridiculous! I have 24 yrs. on you, so I cannot and do not accomplish what you do these days, but your videos motivate me to do more than I have been!
Just wanted to say, I had a fur baby with epilepsy (he's passed from old age last year), but anyway, he developed it when he was 1 and he lived to be 2 weeks short of 13 (best guess because he was a rescue). I had to give him medication 2 X per day precisely every 12 hours. Once we got his seizures under control and his medication at the therapeutic level (within a month of the first seizure). He never had one that I'm aware of again. That's 11+ yrs and he was a big boy (German Shepherd).
I started giving him his meds with peanut butter, but the day it got stuck to the roof of his mouth with the pill, was the last day he would take peanut butter. I had to become very creative and some other things that work are: cream cheese, liver sausage and hot dogs. I wasn't crazy about giving him processed food bites 2 X a day, so I started making 'mush'; which was lean ground beef or pork (cooked) and ground in the food processor with either cooked carrots, peas or green beans. This makes a somewhat wet and moldable consistency. It freezes really well too. Just thought that I'd share this information with you. Please know that your little friend can live a seizure free life as long as you are diligent about not going over 12 hours between doses as anit-seizure medication doesn't have a half life. Happy Thanksgiving and many thanks again for your channel, content and simply being adorable you!!

NICE Haul, your my haul hero! I use that Mays Sweet Chilli sauce or FRANK'S Sweet Chilli sauce which is the best, and you add that and some Mayo "I prefer Hellman's " and then coleslaw which you can buy as you did pre cut ready to use in the bag stuff. Add chopped up chicken breast and it's so yummy just as slaw without the chicken but the chicken is the BOMB! I made it a few times to bring to a party and it was a huge hit! I love the sweet chilli sauce because it keeps me from having to use too much Mayo.

You've given me so many ideas and definitely looking forward to checking out Asure. (As much as I wanted to like so many videos at once, figured I'd ease in to avoid creeper status 🤣). Just a heads up for me personally tried the diva cup and did not like it, but tried to keep up since it's less waste. Tried Flex disc and fell in love!! Only then to find out about the silicon one. So much more comfortable than the cup. Highly recommend starting with small box of Flex discs to get a feel then get the reusable silicone one. Can't wait for more videos!

Give the menstral cup a try! I was scared too, but a good friend convinced me to try it and I’ll never go back! The first cycle I used it I was kind of uncomfortable it, but after that I got the hang of it. It doesn’t go in as far as a tampon. I think my symptoms are not as bad now either! It’s a great great thing!

I have wanted to buy a pressure canner and try preserving for the longest time but I was too nervous! You have inspired me to give it a go. I’m going to treat myself to a canner and 2022 is going to be the year!!! 🙂

I highly recommend a heated mattress pad vs the blanket. The heat transfers so much better from you laying on it vs it being on top of you.

Plus I hear they are more comfortable and easier to fit than the Diva. I haven't tried the flex, but got a Diva... the wrong size. NO THANK YOU. *lol* Also the natural sponges really are a pretty nice option, but again, shop carefully and search the 'net for tips and tricks.

Our dogs have to take medicine too and began to be suspicious of peanut butter. 😂 now we take a marshmallow and cut it in half. Put the pill inside and then stick the two sides back together. They don’t even know it’s in there. I know marshmallows are not the best for them but they only get two a day and are 11 year old bull mastifs so we do what we must. Sending prayers because when the fur babies don’t feel good, mama doesn’t either!❤️

Those fried sweet potatoes are soooo good Becky! They retail for $6.99 each at Whole Foods because they’re super clean. The trick with them is to cook them according to the directions, make sure it’s all one single layer and then when they are done turn the oven off and leave them in there to firm up. I also give them a light spray of oil to help them crisp up

I love watching your grocery hauls! I don't buy organic normally, so not sure if this pertains to organic, but please make sure your peanut butter you are giving the dogs doesn't contain Xylitol/Xylitol Gum. It is extremely toxic for dogs. I give my little dog an acid reducer pill every morning and that's how I give her the pill as well. She loves peanut butter. lol
It must be a mom thing! When I go shopping with my mom, never fails I always end up getting things I didn't know I needed. lol

Thank you for explaining the difference in ciders. Yes here in the UK we get alcohol if we ask for cider. The other is just fresh apple juice. It makes the video of you and your sister processing all those apples and making cider much more clear now. I couldn't work out how you got it to the alcohol stage 😅😅

I like to first pressure cook the turkey in my 22qr canner with about 8 qts water plus celert, carrots, onions. Then carefully strain the now broth from solids and pull turkey shreds. Then scrub the canner ( use vinegar to cut any grease).. and can broth and turkey. Tender moist turkey when reheated.

    Love your grocery haul.
For my coleslaw recipe, I use a package of coleslaw, but I shred it smaller. Then I add Miracle whip, & Splenda. When you use the Splenda, use 1/4 cup to 1 cup of regular white sugar. So it is 3-4 tablespoons with the 1/4 cup of Splenda. When I make & serve this coleslaw, this doesn't last long. This is delicious.

I love watching these! You mentioned having trouble finding organic cheese. I know my sister-in-law gets her sliced organic from Costco for a great price. I don’t have a membership but have had good luck at Target and Aldi for sliced and shredded. Neither carry bricks, yet though. Hopefully soon because they are so much more versatile!!
