Hey guys, newish subscriber. Love the videos. I am a Navy pilot who started drinking scotch because “that’s what the squadron drinks” I knew nothing, and I pretty much moved away from scotch and started drinking bourbon. I have many favorite bourbons but stumbled on your videos and they totally got me interested in scotch again. My tastes have grown since the early days (I drink coffee black nowadays) and I eased back into scotch. I got back into the highland whiskys (Glenmorangie became an after dinner favorite) Looking for more complexity you got me to try Islay again...and I love it. Laphroaig 10 and Ardbeg 10 are now amongst my faves. Can’t wait to find more. I’m trying to find some of the harder to find islays. Thanks guys.

Holy hell guys tonight for the first time i bit the bullet and got my self a bottle of Laphroaig 10 WOW!!! i was sceptical at first and held off buying it for some months taking into account of your tasting notes / review. holy shit what a drop i was enjoying every last sip till i was 3 poors in then I had some pizza for dinner, that was a total game changer for me and rewind it guess ill have to sit it back on the self for the night and continue on with somthing else. Laphroaig 10 we shall meet again....

I just bought my first whisky it tastes, not good :P it's Witton's Blended Scotch Whisky, i could not find a review of it on your youtube page after a quick search. It was around 20-25$. Have you done a review of it? Have you tried it yourself? Anyone in the comments have experience with it?. Love your vids, very entertaining to watch :) much love from a noob :D

Hey guys, love the new direction of the channel. Even though you generally prefer scotch, it would be cool to see you cover several budget/cheaper bourbons. My immediate ideas were Jack no. 7, Jim Beam White, Old Crow, Makers standard/46, OGD BiB/SiB, Evan Williams Black/SiB/1783, Bulleit bourbon, Woodford, Four Roses SB/Yellow, etc. This is obviously a ton of stuff to cover, but it would be interesting to see side by side comparisons across the line like you did with Jack Daniels before. Specifically, comparing a handful of Beam products, heaven hill products, Four Roses, etc.
Since there seems to be a lapse in the history portion of some people’s knowledge so here’s a refresher. The United States officially recognizes its founding as July 4, 1776. The first country to formally recognize the United States was Morocco (1777) and a formal friendship treaty was eventually signed in 1786. The United States wasn’t effectively free from the United Kingdom until 1781 when the war for independence was concluded. Spain supported the USA from April 1779, and formally recognized the country in 1783 two years after the war ended but well before a formal peace treat was signed with the UK in 1787. France recognized the nation on December 17, 1777 (effectively 1778) and provided material and financial support throughout the war for independence. We eventually went to war again with the UK (1812-1815) and both France (Quasi-war 1798-1800) and Spain (1898). We have not gone to war with Morocco.

What I did instead of buying a nosing kit is just go through your house. Most likely you are going to find similar smells to something you pick up in the whiskey. Go to your garage and you most likely will find wood, oil, or gas. Go to the kitchen and you'll mostly likely fruit, vanilla, or cookies. The more you go around the more smells you would find in your whiskey that you interact on a daly basis.
I'm glad even you don't know how to properly pronounce Benrinnes. I have a bottle of it and I literally always call it "Benrines, benrinnehs, benrinnnsss..? anyway, it's nice"
Actually, in most Texans eyes the rest of the United Stars joined the Republic of Texas in 1845. However, they let non-Texans think it’s the other way around. 😉

I've just watched an episode of Still It: th-cam.com/video/uWpf9N90Kqg/w-d-xo.html and wondered if you would consider doing this on the Tribe channel, just because I'd like to know what flavour profile of all the woods you get, and I've not heard of nuclear aging before so may be a good experiment. Any of you other tribe guys agree? Keep up the good work!

And now on today’s episode you extol on the virtues of said kit! Rex? Are we a closet nerd who is too embarrassed to admit this to the Tribe. Or are you just one of those people who has to be the one who must look like things were his idea? I think we are owed an answer
The video exhibits almost as little relating to Aultmore 12 as do the comments. I like the videos....but I'd prefer more whiskey and less Shrek. Peace and Love.

I love snacking on really dark chocolate while I enjoying Speyside or Highland whisky. I got that one from Sir Paterson and it's a great combination.

This is my favorite Speyside. It’s stupidly good, but quite hard to get your hands on. I think their distribution is not very good.
