- Super excited to share the whole wheat carrot cake that I made with my twin sister for our 24th birthday. We topped the cake with cream cheese frosting and is hands down one of the best cakes I have baked so far!

Recipe turned out amazing! Must try! I substituted 2 cups sugar for 1 cup honey and 1 mashed over ripe banana for sweetness and moisture :)

I made a 10 inch cake with this recipe and it is nothing short of DELICIOUS. I’m so happy it’s healthier as well, but now I have no excuses to stop myself from eating the whole thing in one sitting 😂 The sugar amount was fine but I’m going to attempt this again with less of it. For the icing, I feel that it could be less sweet (for my personal health journey) but it was amazing!! I added lemon juice and zest to the cream cheese frosting and it was the best thing ever!

Hey Shivesh! Baked this cake today in a dutch pot for lack of an oven. It turned out fantastic! Thank you so much for this wonderful recipe! I'd tweaked it slightly to add 1/4th cup of orange juice with the zest, cranberries soaked in vodka and goose eggs for added richness.

I tried this today - thanks so much for this amazing recipe using wheat flour! My cake turned out amazing. I halved the recipe as it was too much for me. I also used less sugar (used only brown sugar, 3/4 cup), and added chopped walnuts and raisins (had no cranberries). Absolutely amazing cake! Only thing i’d change is add an extra cup of carrot.
