I think he asked for too much money it will always be a small business he should of asked for $20k
Youknow, you can reassign any input on any keyboard on any Windows system (not sure about linux), no download or purchase needed at all. This guy went through all of that but forgot to google.
The Sharks have invested thousands on crappier products! Some of them even got scammed or become embroiled in bitter lawsuits. I wish they would have taken a chance on this guy.
This can be done with free software. You could even change mouse inputs to copy n paste. Problem is there's nowhere to really put it that's not in the way so hence the shortcuts.
1 word - "Macros" . I'm out. I'm suprised an engineer would make a gag product like this for financial gain instead of just educating others to solve the problem for free with software.
I bought this for $10 on Amazon and love it. I know everyone in the comments says it's useless, but if you copy and paste a bunch it really does make a difference. It's like the difference in using a regular mouse or the mouse pad. One is just more comfortable.
Say what you will, but this would be useful for older people. Although, a keyboard that has copy and paste buttons makes more sense to me for that demographic
i like the idea. and i understand where he is coming from. But there is only one issue. You need to move your hand away from the keybord so that would more inconvenient. Plus there are more ways to copy and paste large texts
Uhh 😅 so I have to copy and paste thousands of entries a day for my job, assigning an F key wouldnt work with how my layout is. I IMMEDIATELY bought this and I'm freaking stoked.
I have a mouse and keyboard that both have programmable keys/buttons. You can get 10-12 commands/macros on the mouse and 5 on the keyboard. If you are really desperate, you could create 5 profiles with commands, macros, or whatever else you would like to have at your fingertips and then take the 5 keys on the keyboard and set macros to cycle through the profiles on the mouse... effectively giving you access to up to 50-60 commands, macros, or whatever using just 4 fingers without needing to lift up either hand. Sure it is a little bit of work to set up something that extensive, but if you feel the need for 50 programmable keys, it would be worth it IMO.

Why do you copy and paste 50 times a day? "I am a programmer for the Call of Duty franchise"
Then you don't do much programming.
Energy from this guy is great. Product was not really great but you can tell he has that enthusiasm to go places
It’s a decent starting idea, but he ruined his chances when he presented it in the form of a cringe infomercial 😂😂😂
Yeah it felt like a tv shopping channel.
I would have paid 40K just to hire this guy. Loved his energy. Great job!
And so the super villian arc begins.
i love this guy. if i was a shark i would hire him
Not buy his product idea.. but lori can employ him on herr home shopping channel
Great attitude, clearly a very passionate young man. With a proper product on his hands, he could go far
Mark destroys this concept. Seriously how does a E-commerce manager not know how to assign copy / paste to the F keys?
I mean, he did drop out for a reason lol
I’d pay $2 for that if I saw it at a toy store. Nothing more
This is my favourite guy. That positive energy Damn. Don’t know about this product but m sure he’s going to go far in life. That determination is legit
this guy is going to make it in life. Great attitude.
I love this idea! What Scotty needs to do is pick a use case and sell it for that use case. Some people see the use for it, and others don't, but those who really need it are in certain industries.
Programmable keyboard, great idea. Oh wait, I have one.
I really like this guy, great attitude, energy, smart. I thought maybe one of the sharks would have offered him a job. They've done that from time-to-time.
It's good to see the Adderall shortage has been solved.
Haha you think so?
This is a good product like he said he had 20k in sales. Mark is right anyone who knows what they are doing can rebind keys but 99% of keyboard users would never think about that. Custom keyboards and peripherals that focus on one thing are pretty popular in the PC space and the branding for this product is what would sell it to the consumer and the cheap price I doubt a lot of them would even really use it but it would sell. I think he asked for too much money it will always be a small business he should of asked for $20k
Yes, but this product is not for the tech savvy!!!
99% is just an arbitrary number you came up with. This product is useless.
@@JohnDoe-rr8uf its a arbitrary number but the product made 20k in sales how is that useless.
Mark knows tech. Him being out so quick was a sign for the other sharks
E-commerce manager…
Yeah this is some bullshit a Wholefoods guy who grocery shops all day would come up with.
What are you talking about
"What's with these HOOOMIES dissin' my keyboard" or however that song went
He would be better off designing a keyboard that helps those with carpal tunnel.
A ton of companies design ergonomic keyboards. Carpal tunnel isn't associated with keyboard use. Twisting the wrist repeatedly over years does
Anytime a person comes in with energy, I immediately want to go out on behalf of the Sharks.
Here on another lunch break
truly nobody cares

Get Lost with your "lunch break" announcements !!
Youknow, you can reassign any input on any keyboard on any Windows system (not sure about linux), no download or purchase needed at all. This guy went through all of that but forgot to google.
I bought one after watching this clip. I know I will use it ALOT.

Mark was right, you could just make very simple keyboard shortcut script to make an F key copy and another one paste.
*Amazing personality*
I bought this for $10 on Amazon and love it. I know everyone in the comments says it's useless, but if you copy and paste a bunch it really does make a difference. It's like the difference in using a regular mouse or the mouse pad. One is just more comfortable.
Say what you will, but this would be useful for older people. Although, a keyboard that has copy and paste buttons makes more sense to me for that demographic
Most older people don't Copy and paste hundreds of things a day
i would have called it "Keyboard Copy Cat" to reference the meme & resonate with the it community.
lmfao yes marc i forgot about the function keys haha
They aren't even on Amazon....... only a Chinese knockoff for this product can be found. Fail Product.
He's a good salesman. He just needs to come up with a more useful product
This guy got crushed and paste
Robert calling the product crap then using it to go out was brutal and I loved every second of it 😂
You seem like a great person. If I was one of those sharks I would just give you the 40k. It'll be a couple quarters to me anyway.
That’s exactly why you’re not one of the sharks
@@nebzla That's exactly why you're responding to my comment.
Great pitch but I think there's a way to change the shortcut keys for copy and past so that they're easier to use
i like the idea. and i understand where he is coming from.
Sure it is a little bit of work to set up something that extensive, but if you feel the need for 50 programmable keys, it would be worth it IMO.
what a great pitch for a product that should just be a remapped-key.
