I would be interested in seeing the true dynamic accuracy of those Sharps riffles,.... to do the test you would need to strip the gun down to just the barrel and breach,... the barrel would have to be mounted in two bearing that would allow it to spin 360 degrees,.. also the barrel would need to have a zero harmonic mount,.... probably the best description is to go to my channel and visit the video on the most accurate gun in the world and see my setup. There is no need to spin the barrel at 100,000 RPM because it is riffled, 10 RPM would do, my guess the barrel was ahead of its time and could do 5 rounds in the same hole at 100 m.
Maybe you might have a thought on this. When making this video and the 1000 yard video I can tell I have an accuracy issue. And I believe it is the bullet. I am casting them and powder coating them. The problem I believe is in sizing the bullet. It is coming out of a lee mold. I have no choice but to push the bullet through the sizer tip first. I casted up 200 and inspected them and loaded up 50 rounds and got totally whipped at 1350yds. I have a different bullet I can load up and push through the sizer base first. Basically I believe because I am pushing on the base with the ram when sizing I no longer have a flat base. Have you ever noticed an accuracy difference pushing from the tip or base? NDR
Well it took you quite a few to zero it in but you were pretty close many times but that last bong was worth it. I have a hard enough time seeing a target at 200 yards so 1200 would be impossible for me. True I am older than you 71 but, a hit at 1200 yards is definitely something to brag about.
