Imagine that. Having hundreds of years worth of combined experience signed to your company, and refusing to listen to any of their advice because you think you know better isn’t actually a winning strategy. Who would have thought?
The window of opportunity to shake things up in the world of pro wrestling has well and truly closed for AEW. They used every leverage they possibly could to try and compete like NJPW, Impact, AAA, purchased the defunct ROH and tried to revive it, all for nothing. TK didn't delegate or take advice it was simply a vanity project to please himself.
The fanboys don’t take advice/constructive criticism at all and defend to the death the dumb shit that is being aired every week. And their comeback is always “if you don’t like it then don’t watch”. Now no one watches! Those goofballs helping to drive people away too. AEW is a lost cause. WWE needs to move NXT back to Wednesday and finish it off
As someone who was a day one ROH fan, it makes me sad to see how low that company's stock has dropped (figuratively speaking) since Tony Khan bought it. I wish Sinclair had kept it and just put the right people in charge of it that would really dedicate the time and effort to it.
Nailed it. Tony Khan is a schmuck. Worse yet, he is a egomaniac. Worst of all, he is a fool. There is nothing more cancerous than an arrogant fool, and Tony Khan is one.
He's still getting praise... Which will never not boggle me. Also sounds like there's zero media to promote these shows. Guess they couldn't find an elite media, or pr, person (not sure which makes commercials)
@@Christian.J_hXc Yeah from what I saw in different comment sections is they had absolutely no advertising about the show locally until the day before, at which point it was practically every commercial break for a baseball game. That's some fine work from most likely someone's family member.
Whats even more mind blowing is that they fired their biggest draw for Jungle Boy. Even if you hate Punk, its like WWF firing Austin in 1998 for not working with JJ or Marc Mero.
Exactly...over JUNGLE BOY!!! A low-barely-mid-carder who just so happens to be friends with the "EVPs." A guy who can't draw a crowd and get a pop even if you trucked fans in and forced them to clap at gunpoint. Jungle Boy got a big head when he started being called one of the four pillars. What happened to Punk should be used as soul searching - what do you want your show to be? Punk, as abrasive as he could be, is a professional and was getting so fed up with the childish behavior and actions of the so called Elite. It hurts me to say it, but he's better off somewhere else, away from the clown show. And outside of the recaps, I haven't watched one episode since he was fired.
Bingo! The Collisions have been overall "meh" the last 3 weeks. They are even booking talents like Bullet Club Gold against horrible opponents. The future is looking bleak.
Once I noticed people was praising the show I knew something was gonna happen. The alternative think their brand of wrestling works, and they'll sink that company to prove it.
AEW in a nutshell big move, no sell, big move, no sell, dive, trade forearms, no sell, unnecessarily dangerous bump, kick out. Fans say this is awesome, holy shit, fight forever, big move, 1-2-3- run in immediately after. They all for the most part have the same matches. If You watched one match you have seen just about all they offer. The storylines are all bad comedy based on people having friends. AEW isn’t making tv to draw crowds. They’re doing matches to impress themselves and to get over with Dave and Bryan so they can jizz about watching a long drawn out spot fest and give them irrelevant star ratings. That’s their entire show in a nutshell
Not True dustin rhodes malenko etc they have mostly amazing backstage even tony shivoni the way he speaks about wcw he isnt a retard. The thing is they are just using him for money or he really DOES NOT LISTEN TO ANYONE. This is why in the creation of AEW stories it will always be know jim corrnete never backed down on his values and called the whole situation over a phone call. Same for the wrestles there's some wrestlers out there like malikai black i was promised this and that and then you go to his creative which is i am possed by a demon and he just does trio matches. So is he the problem or does tony not fully lissen to him and hes collecting x3 the pay he would in wwe and fuck my charecter.
@@nikoladzhurov1800 they already admitted that QT Marshall's apart of their booking. He's listening to that goober, who as I said has had no success in wrestling
But again Tony books the show and creative for approval and shit at least. So again are all these amazing talents using him for money or is he just not listening to them but is like il still pay you though. @@tonyruby4467
Yup. I got down voted to hell over at r/squaredcircle for saying this same thing. They should be in vastly smaller arenas but Tony won't do it because it'll be acknowledging that they have quickly dived to Impact/TNA levels in the pro wrestling arena.
@@RavenGlenn AEW/The Elite fans really live in an echo chamber. Wembley only had a good turn out because UK fans are so starved for wrestling that they would likely accept crumbs from Impact.
No, because venue are booked far in advance . Once this round of shows passes you will see they will book smaller venues. You can’t just suddenly not run a venue after it being booked months ahead of time
It was dwindling in the US before All In and the true test of consistent attendance was always going to come after Wembley.. It's gone way beyond embarrassing now. Whole upper and some middle sections all blacked out and tarped off
I consider it an insult to plumbers. Any plumber can do what Moxley does. But Moxley can't do what plumbers do, because that actually requires intelligence.
Because of my love for pro wrestling, I wanted AEW to succeed. Just like I wanted TNA, NWA, and WCW to be successful. That ship has sailed. I have no idea what the direction of the company is. What stories if any there is to follow. I don't even know who most of the roster are.
The first thing Moxley saw when he walked out of the tunnel were empty seats 😂. That had to hurt worse than the barbed wire, thumbtacks and broken glass he rolls around in.
The AEW has it's hardcore fans and that's it. You need casual fans as well to bump up your viewership or you're not going to grow past a certain point. WWE in it's prime was an excellent example of this.
And when your hardcore fans are so blind to their love of AEW that all they can say is "yea, but what about WWE", then its a problem. They won't find fault in anything AEW does. Nobody is watching this nonsense anymore, and while some of the blame can be put on Mox, the Bucks, and he rest..the sole blame is on Tony Khan. He is in charge, and let all this nonsense happen.
If I was a wrestler and I worked for AEW, my whole gimmick would be to go out there whenever some ‘dream match’ was announced and call out ‘Why? Why should anyone in this arena or at home pay their money to see that? Who gives a shit if Danielson wants to wrestle ZSJ? ZSJ doesn’t work here!’
@@MrMarcodarko Do I want to see that match? Yes. Do I want it to have meaning instead of just Danielson wanting to do it? Yes. As of right now, it’s just TK letting guys work with whoever on these one off shows. I have no investment in Danielson currently cause he hasn’t been a part of anything significant. I don’t give a shit if he wrestled Okada one time on one show. Build it up. Give me a Rock v Austin or Austin v McMahon feud, and make the encounter mean more than just ‘Wouldn’t this be cool?’
I went to the show in Cincinnati last week and there was maybe 3-4000 people for an arena that holds over 14000. The left had side of the arena was completely empty. I paid only $20 for my ticket. Tickets on the sides were buy one get one free!
Can't say Jim didn't warn them about this. It's no wonder Cody jumped ship and Punk seems happy to not have to worry about AEW anymore. The usual suspects want it to stay like PWG and be the comedy hour, neither of which will ever draw. I don't know how AEW saves themselves at this point without a big rethink over what they are and want to be.
As long as WBD is satisfied with their ratings, nothing will change. And if it ever occurs that WBD isn't satisfied with the ratings, it will be too late to do anything.
@@patrickdepew4976 - They're pissed over CM Punk since the latter was the reason Collision was green-lighted in the first place! I would love to see Time Warner go after Smackdown! if they want ratings.
Meanwhile, AEW apologists be like "Wrestling is booming, AEW is doing great after the reset at All Out". With Punk's exit Collision has taken a hit and is becoming a new rampage.
And Dynamite's numbers are stagnant or in decline where they can't even get to 900k anymore for the entire show while NXT is catching up to them thanks to some main roster appearances.
Think of that reality...Dynamite was in Cincinatti...Mox's hometown...and they drew 2,500? That tells a lot of the state of AEW. But of course, the AEW apologists will always say "but..but..but..what about Wembley?"
Well, what he says its home, and they don't like that, the truth hurts, So they have to say this, b4 they were saying he was trying to get a job, then they realised TK wanted him but he declinded the offer, so they changed the narrative to oh he just wants it to fail...
No like all of us HE WANTED them to listen and improve. But time and time again they have shown they don't WANT THAT. They wanna do a clown show circus act....... It's that simple.
On the contrary, Jim actually wants AEW to succeed so the wrestling business can be improved as a whole and force WWE to step up their quality of product. Hence that why he was very critical on reviewing certain aspects of AEW shows. It just Tony time and time again proving Jim comments to be right
what's funny is if you go back 4 years Jim & Brian both wanted AEW to succeed, but now not as much anymore. if only TK would take some constructive criticism AEW wouldnt be failing right now
Gotta say this but despite the campaign to ruin CM Punk you have to admit that AEW needs him. Despite what you may think about his personality, he is and will always be a bonafide money-making star. The only reason Collision was good was because of Punk's no-nonsense booking and creative sense and his refusal to do stupid things, but Tony blew that all by firing him because an entitled Hollywood brat and a couple idiots who no nothing about real wrestling were butt hurt. And then applying tactics that made the WWE become hated like censoring signs and apparel they found offensive, like anything to do with CM Punk? These hasty, short sighted decisions and appeasing idiots, it's killing the company.

Grand Slam is looking to be another failure too. I don’t think they’ll even have 10,000 in attendance this year. That’s down from the 13,000 people last year (a few weeks after the brawl out) and down 20,000 in 2021 when Punk had his first televised match since January 2014. Diminishing returns and alienating Punk’s fans will bite them in the ass again.
There are currently zero people streaming AEW: Fight Forever on Twitch. A multi million dollar game that came out two and a half months ago. They aren’t as successful as they’d like to make you think at business. They spend money really well.
AEW is a mess, entire TV shows drift by without focus, the "Big stars" are aging and exposed (except MJF), the dream of competing with WWE is over......I don't know how they get out of this mess.....
The way out of this mess was to hire a competent booker and to set internal rules for the roster so that people aren't burying other matches on their cards. At this point the company would need a massive shakeup and restructuring to fix the issues that it started with.
Sick of hearing the 'but it's only been around for 5 years' excuse.. Yep with the backing of billions of daddy's dollars and nothing to show for it. TK with all the money in the world and no sense.
Yes! It’s not as if it is the first four years of a human life! It’s a pro wrestling company with practically unlimited funding, experienced wrestlers and wrestling business hands, with the whole history of pro wrestling and a world of other sources to draw from! How is it as unbelievably bad as this?!
They burnt the market over and over again when the said market drew 10k + fans. And keep coming back almost monthly to a point where the said markets got burnt out. Tony should learn how WWE run their TV taping, go back twice or 3 time per year, not almost weekly or monthly
You could hit your hot cities monthly during the territory days. Tony is stuck in some weird delusion that he can relive wrestling history. Well it’s not 1983 and people have pathetically short attention spans and many other entertainment options now. To use anything from pro wrestlings past as a business model is just stupid.
@@bb-ballistics1706 right? Tony somehow saw a random town drew 10k plus fans and decided to keep coming back to the same town almost monthly and burned them out. @@marvinleong5902 as we seen with all in (I was there) there's plenty of tours in different countries he could do, Germany, France, England, etc it would get aew better know around the world and it would give the American fans less shows too close together
As I always said, I won't consider AEW a success and 'changing the business' until they turn a profit. Any money mark can run a company at a loss, but if we actually want wrestlers to have better conditions and contracts long term, there needs to be a major company running a sustainable business model providing those. Otherwise, why would the biggest player in the industry care?
All businesses run in the deep red the first 5-7 years. Supposedly they where brushing being cash flow positive. TK then paid for the videogame out of the companies pocket instead of licensing it like normal. That was a 40 million dollar blunder made worse by how secretive everything is in the company.
@@MrMarcodarkoNo they don't Einstein! They have never profited. They don't have enough shows to turn a profit. That coolest new wrestling company in town vibe has long worn off. Apart from the usual hardcores still attending it seems like most who were fans no longer endorse it or feel ashamed to acknowledge it's existence. I always thought they needed a big name player that casuals knew like Bill Goldberg or Batista but that ships sailed too.
What Jim is saying is, the product back then was INTERESTING, ADDICTIVE, PASSIONATE. We felt emotions and wanted to know what's going to happen. It's what made wrestling superior to boxing and other sports.
Say what you want about WWE’s tv booking but you’re getting an EXPERIENCE at their live events. The nostalgia, the big production,a variety fan base, they’ve mastered marketing on a level AEW cant match.
And they have decades of experiences to get there. WWE has had It's up and down during its history, and AEW is currently in a down phase. How they come out of their down phase will tell how the company will do long term
Vince had bookers , former promotion owners, Tunney, Brisco, and PP, Jerry Jarrett, around him and he knew his shit also, he was an announcer as you know, he learned the business inside out, and was a marketing genius from the off with Linda's help, I don't particularly like Stepth or Shane, but even they have more experience in the business than TK, doing up the rings etc, TK wouldn't know where to begin... TK is like Ted Turner, doesn't really understand the wrestling business
Nothing can match it. Nothing has since WCW in 96-98. Its folly to try and compete with WWE's machine. It would take TKs money with someone that actually knows how to book and market wrestling to truly compete with WWE. And AEW cant do it because TK doesn't know how to do that. When Bryan came into that company hot after recently main eventing wrestlemania with Edge and Roman and the first things they did were hour time limit draw him with Hangman and then lose clean to Hangman. That was all the proof needed to know that AEW was managed by clueless idiots. You have a Star like Danielson. He wins that title from Hangman and becomes the guy. Because he is your biggest star. I've never booked wrestling as a job, but i have followed it long enough and know enough that that is what you do as a business model for your direction. You dont bank it on a ok midcarder over a Star like Danielson. You Give Bryan the ball and have him run with it out the gate. The comparison to that would be WCW bringing in Hall and Nash in 96 and having them lose clean at Bash at the beach after making their third man Sting who turned on them to help Savage and Luger beat them. You kill the hype and angle out the gate and destroy any chance of it getting over. That is AEW. From the moment they did that with Danielson i wrote AEW off and stopped watching weekly. Then eventually i quit watching at all because it just got worse as it went.
13:40 this is where people who say jim is a shock jock need to listen , sometimes jim rants and we love him for it but this is a concise and important statement for the BUSINESS of wrestling
It's like getting rid of their top star and going with the indy darlings is a bad thing. Totally didn't see this coming 🙄 God, wish Punk was still on cause this show needs him.
When Tony fired Punk and not Perry and the Bucks he screwed himself. They came to Punk during these altercations Punk didnt go to them and start it. Tony needed the teddy bear he gives that strange hug too.
Their youtube channel took a huge hit as well. They have 1.5 million subs and they get 50k views in 5 hours on most videos. Whoever writes their titles for their videos is a mark as well
This is why I just shook my head seeing The Elite and their fanboys celebrating running off their main amd possibly only actual draw. Haven't watched since and have barely even listened to Corny's recaps on AEW.
They were already doing lower number with Punk there. This is a cycle that all wrestling company goes through. We will see how they navigate their way out of this current slump
I'm always surprised many didn't see AEW was doomed to start with. A rich kid and a few indy darlings vanity project. Run by said rich kid who has zero experience running and booking a wrestling company and only listens to his buddies who are just using him for their own means. Started off with huge hype and a major TV deal. Where AEW started in where they should've worked their way up to be at now. Basically, they had nowhere to go but down. And thay's exactly how it's gone. The only reason they won't be closing their doors within the next 1-2 years is because Khan has money to burn. But even that will eventually end. And many say "I'm a wrestling fan and wanted AEW to succeed". Well, guess what, I'm a wrestling fan too, been watching it for 33 years and I'm glad AEW is eating shit because to me they celebrated everything I loathe about modern wrestling (and even the stuff they do that I like, they do a mediocre job of). It's success would've encouraged more of it. But apparently most don't give a shit either. So good riddance when Khan's dad forces his kid to sell or pull the plug. But it's gonna make a hell of a documentary when it's all over so it wasn't all for nothing.
From 2005-2019 I only watched wrestling in clips. My interest was renewed and my love of wrestling came back during the pandemic. I started watching WWE again and then AEW. AEW closes their doors in ~3-5yrs. WWE remains hot ~1-2 yrs after. Then it becomes late 2010s WWE again
Exactly. Pro wrestling needs AEW to die for the sake of pro wrestling, before it takes pro wrestling down with it. The only worry WWE has about AEW anymore is if it tarnishes WWE.
100% agree. I've been watching wrestling since the Hogan days. I wanted AEW to succeed for the sake of pro wrestling. Instead, I got the worst of modern wrestling mixed with egotistical jaxkoffs who have no reason to think they're as good as they think they are. When this burns to the ground, I'll be standing right next to it, roasting marshmallows
@@MrMarcodarko easy to follow: if he was a poor kid he wouldn't have money to burn to keep it afloat and AEW would likely go under way faster instead of the slow death it has now.
When AEW started I tuned in every week. That dropped off after six months , then watched the odd ppv and sporadic watching of the weekly show. They kept adding more pointless shows like rampage , dark etc. Cody left and it changed a lot very quickly, none of the good.
TK's issue is he tried to compete with WWE as soon as he started, and he was trying to do so with Indy talent that only 10% of wrestling fans have ever heard of; and was cocky about it because he and his talent was taking crap. Like Eddie Kingston.
@@proxydoesitwrong6331I wouldn't be surprised. All that money and Tony can't buy a working brain. He's the only rich guy I've ever heard of that is this idiotic. And that says something
"He just thinks it'd be cool to watch them do their moves to each other" That's the modern wrestling fan right there. They don't care about why they're fighting, they don't care who wins, they just want to see cool moves, crazy spots, stupid bumps, and 5 star bangers. This type of mindset is a big reason why the business is the shits nowadays.
8:30 what will punk do with the real aew title he’s still the holder of? Appear on camera at wwe survivor series in Chicago with the title only to dump it in a trash can?
My big issue is that we get a lot of title matches with little or no build so it's usually pretty obvious that the champion will retain. Example. Mox vs Fenix. Mox isn't losing. MJF vs Joe has a good build, but I'm pretty sure everyone knows that MJF is keeping the title. Collision: FTR has a defense but they already announced their WrestleDream match AND their Saturday opponents are the Workhorsemen....enough said there.
I feel like most people should’ve seen this coming for years. I remember when they started and had tons of hirings, some were major like punk and danielson, they even had danielson and Adam cole debut in the same night lol. Everyone was saying there’s going to be a point they need to use their roster to run a good show and they haven’t. Punk probably had the most major storylines available between the elite, mjf, and an eventual heel turn. With all that gone, danielson likely either quitting or slowing down in about a year, it just feels really downhill for aew and they already have a niche audience. Idk how long they can keep watching the same matches on 3 shows a week + ppvs until that number even starts decreasing
Punk is smart enough to solo his self and have everyone come from him and even taking shots at people like MJF storyline and Tony and the Elite boyfriends ruin it. Jericho is also getting older and the plumber is to predictable that he facing low card talents now
Problem is Tony thinks he is doing a good job due to all the sycophants around him, a biased wrestling media and the hardcore AEW fans always praising and defending him on Twitter. Plus being a spoild privileged 40 years old man child means he never excepts he is wrong and won’t change
The constant reference to Wembley while legitimate concerns and negatives are brought up is like the captain of the Titanic bragging about the number of passengers on board while the ship takes on water at an alarming rate.
Since we have already seen how Tony handles playful and half-serious aggression in real life, I'm not expecting anything when he's supposed to put that around a match...
The problem is they keep going back to the same relatively small handful of markets. At a certain point, no matter how dedicated the fans are, you're going to tap out the market.
I’m heading to Grand Slam for the 3rd year in a row and while I’m excited I’m also absolutely dreading the 2 HOURS of Rampage I’m gonna need to sit through on top of Dynamite, and probably some ROH matches. The next year or so is going to be very telling where AEW stands business wise going forward and the needles moved back for them and things are flatlining once again.
They should have gotten rid of the real culprits....Jungle Junk Perry, Hangnail Page, Twinkletoes McFingerbang, Old Fart Jericho, and most especially the Cucamonga Kids. And throw out Fraidy Cat Tony Khan as well.
Tony got ‘scared for his life’ after seeing Punk goozle someone, meanwhile Jericho is backstage throwing fireballs in the the face of random staff members
So many of their guys have just been devalued. I started watching because of Punk. When Punk and The Elite were all gone from the roster, I had grown enough interest in some of the talent there that I still watched the show regardless, and it wasn't bad at all. Punk's gone permanently, but now I'm no longer interested in enough of their guys to even watch any of the shows anymore. Moxley was okay before the BCC and this obsession with blading and furniture happened. Danielson's been absolute caca since the BCC... about the only thing I've given a shit about since then was him and MJF and the rest of it has been one big waste to me. He's back now from injury, having gotten injured wrestling a guy that isn't even on this promotion's roster, and what's he doing now for his big return? Dun dun dun... Zack Sabre Jr! Fuck off already. Seriously. Wardlow lost his footing. The Jurassic Express was okay, but now they're broken up and what we're left with is two singles that won't get the fuck off of television. I used to think Orange Cassidy was okay but it's been far too much of him and I'm completely over it at this point. Eddie Kingston was cool, but was gone for a long time and then when he's been here, he's been tied up with the BCC's nonsense for some of that time. Hook flatlined for a period of time. I liked Miro but he disappeared for a gigantic period of time. The momentum is gone, several folks there are down a couple of pegs from where they were, and there's not enough going on there to justify me continuing to watch it. There were times where I skipped over an hour and a half of Dynamite out of disinterest... at that point it's like, what's the point of continuing to watch any of it at all?
Please, note, that the PRICE of tickets for AEW is ridiculous. Impact, which is an older, more established company, sells tickets for less then HALF of what AEW price. Lets face it, no matter how good the show is, if the tickets are $80 for general sitting are WAAYY too much. They charge premium money, for rather mediocre product. I refuse to pay a dime if I have to see Pockets, Acclaimed and Dumb Schmucks.
WHOAAAA The Acclaimed are amazing. Don't put them in the same boat as Pockets. They got over legitimately, can work the stick, wrestle, & are coached by a legitimate Hall of Famer in Billy Gunn who is as hot as he has ever been & is working with them to be more like the WWE model & not fall into Tony's trap.

I love that the entirety of All In/AEW from 2018 was "run a big show in Chicago and maybe CM Punk will show up." Literally their entire strategy and what Khan and the Bucks were hoping for. Then it happened, then they regretted it because they don't like criticism. Now they ran Chicago like 20 times in the last year, and with firing Punk, can't think of running it again. How does a promotion that gets Punk, Bryan, Adam Cole, FTR, all these huge stars still manage to fuck it up? This is proof nobody will touch WWE ever again. I gave AEW the WCW timeframe to get big exposure, but they've only regressed, five year plan is up and it's TNA level.
This is what happens when you're entire identity is built on being anti WWE. Your success will always be dependent on the competition being bad, and the moment they're not that's when you're in trouble.
More than that, if you and your fan base burn with hatred toward and continually insult WWE and WWE fans, you are actually just insulting and alienating most wrestling fans. And when that isn’t enough, you split and shrink your own fan base with hate campaigns against Cody Rhodes, then C M Punk. It’s been incredible to witness.
I second this idea. A Vulkan would be far more scrupulous with his money whilst a Ferengi would absolutely try and establish a Wrestling Company if it meant getting some quick cash lol. The Ferengi would do it because he saw how successful WWF/E used to be thinking “why can’t I also do that”.
Since the inception of AEW a few years ago where Tony Khan says WWE has competitors now 9:51 , WWE has done record numbers. They were valued at 3,5 billion when AEW launched and they just merged with UFC at a valuation of 9.3 billion. Thats how much a threat AEW has been.
Moxley showing his big star power in his hometown, collision all of sudden doesn’t sell well go figure, Arthur Ashe is now gonna do 8k if they’re lucky
Funniest thing I saw on X yesterday was an AEW stan laughing about WWE selling 8k+ for last night's RAW in an arena with 18k+ seats. If they watched the show, and saw the stage/entrance, they could see why the sales were reduced to 8k+...people don't want to sit behind the Tron.
Meanwhile the two people getting the biggest reaction in WWE is LA Knight and Dom Mysterio. Neither one is wrestling 20 minute matches and neither one is going through furniture on free TV.
I was at the Cincinnati show. I was stunned at how dead it was. My guess is around 2400. They had everybody crammed on one side, but geez, but the Rampage main event "Statlander v Cargill" It had to have been less than 1000. It was BAD.
Please just give us coherent storylines that our reasonable suspension of disbelief can run with and enjoy! We can appreciate how athletic all the talent is, but without a good story to hold it all together, the product gets stale.
And even if they somehow get Edge…THEN what? The new car smell will be off by January or within weeks. They’ve put their backs against the wall because there’s nobody left thats gonna refill these arenas or give them the momentum they had 4yrs ago.
Yes l’ve been baffled at this campaign of WILLING Edge to turn up in AEW? What do they expect will happen?! What will that achieve?! They keep doing this, whenever they get anyone ex WWE they act like it’s a VICTORY AGAINST WWE. But we’ve all seen Edge for the last 3 years, now aged nearly 50. It’s been great to see him again, but I’m not going to start watching AEW if Edge makes a poor career choice and goes there.

WWE needs to move NXT back to Wednesday and finish it off
LOL AEW not only competes, but has surpassed those you mentioned. WWE is easily the more established brand in US wrestling.
As someone who was a day one ROH fan, it makes me sad to see how low that company's stock has dropped (figuratively speaking) since Tony Khan bought it. I wish Sinclair had kept it and just put the right people in charge of it that would really dedicate the time and effort to it.

Whats even more mind blowing is that they fired their biggest draw for Jungle Boy. Even if you hate Punk, its like WWF firing Austin in 1998 for not working with JJ or Marc Mero.
Punk is a shit human being. That's why. He tried to only bully people smaller than him and thought he was in-charge everywhere he goes.

The AEW has it's hardcore fans and that's it. You need casual fans as well to bump up your viewership or you're not going to grow past a certain point. WWE in it's prime was an excellent example of this.

@@proxydoesitwrong6331I wouldn't be surprised. All that money and Tony can't buy a working brain. He's the only rich guy I've ever heard of that is this idiotic. And that says something
Is that true?!
@@GraveMemories most rich people are generally morons. Just lucky as fuck and no one bothers to tell them how stupid they are.
"He just thinks it'd be cool to watch them do their moves to each other"
That's the modern wrestling fan right there. They don't care about why they're fighting, they don't care who wins, they just want to see cool moves, crazy spots, stupid bumps, and 5 star bangers. This type of mindset is a big reason why the business is the shits nowadays.
Im not a fan of MJF being friends with anyone. Its cooled him off. Give me heel MJF back.
He’s an awesome baby face actually it grew on me. It felt strange but it’s the only good thing AEW has to offer at this time.
I hope he realizes how stupid this whole thing is. And with that, he jumps to WWE, where he can become a real star.
Well the fans clearly like it. I'm sure now punk has gone the mjf cole shirts are the best sellers at the moment.
How do you pay Moxley millions and he can't draw 3000 in his hometown??? It's basically over...they just don't know it yet.
Mox legit been pin like 3 times in 4 years. That should tell u enough
fenix is a jobber bro
@@MrMarcodarko That's my point
Well.... I didn't expect Fenix to win. It only took almost killing Mox to make it happen though
Ive been saying since AEW started that its like the end of WCW.... Star power with no structure.
Since we have already seen how Tony handles playful and half-serious aggression in real life, I'm not expecting anything when he's supposed to put that around a match...
repent your evil ways
The problem is they keep going back to the same relatively small handful of markets. At a certain point, no matter how dedicated the fans are, you're going to tap out the market.
What a bright idea it was to fire their biggest star in favor of little Jack Perry
Collision is coming to Wichita. They helped my decision not to go when they fired Punk
The show was gonna suck either way
@@Pennypackerragreed that's why I said they helped my decision
Collision died the day Punk got fired because Jungle Jack-Off is a an indyrific ass clown
A year from now. Its gonna look like an impact show. Lucky to have 200 people in the crowd
They will become as irrelevant as Impact. I'm surprised it's still around in 2023.
How have I never heard "liquor in the front, poker in the back" before. What a sentence 😂
I would totally work for AEW. Its free and easy money. Plus, I'll be paid more than I'm actually worth.
For extra pay make sure you’ve worked for wwe first 😂
The product can be summed up in one word "stale"
I’m heading to Grand Slam for the 3rd year in a row and while I’m excited I’m also absolutely dreading the 2 HOURS of Rampage I’m gonna need to sit through on top of Dynamite, and probably some ROH matches. The next year or so is going to be very telling where AEW stands business wise going forward and the needles moved back for them and things are flatlining once again.
Don't forget the power of CM Punk's firing on ratings and attendance
It’s a self inflicted wound. AEW should never have gotten rid of CM Punk
Ricky starks haven't had. Big moment yet unless u count him pinning punk
Notice Dynamite turns the lights off in the crowd at the 2nd level. So sad
You can't pay me to show up at that clown freak show.
People have been screaming for better story telling since forever, Tony has no intention on actually listening.
Tony is the problem, keep pleasing the hardcore fans and refusing to get the casuals
Unless AEW is preforming in front of an empty stadium, they should be worried about those ratings and ticket sales
AEW acts as if Moxley beating Cassidy is equivalent to Clubber Lang beating Rocky.
@@ModernDayRenaissanceMan Really? Acting like total degenerates is "getting over" now? And roided freak with unhealthy fascination with other man's asses is a "legendary wrestler now"? As far as being Hall of Famer... Sensational Sherry is in there, as is "The Fridge", yes, they were amazing wrestlers... especially "The Fridge"... Drew Carry is Hall of Famer too, that makes him a great wrlestler. WWE hall of fame is a joke. Half of the ass clowns there would not be able to wrestle their way out of a wet paper bag. As much as I like Donald Trump, he is in that Hall of Fame too. And we all know that if Trump is in Hall of Fame with Eddie Guerrero, that means Trump is a good wrestler, right? Dude, how old are you?
@@ModernDayRenaissanceMan Oh, and while we are on the subject. Kid Rock and Snoop Dog are both in WWE hall of fame. That means they are great wrestlers, right? Grow the hell up, kid.
Adam Cole is not a “huge star” he’s some nobody vanilla midget that smarks this is cool to like.
Jungle Boy Jack Perry is AEWs version of Hornswoggle.
Tony isn't a Vulcan, he's a Ferengi.
Nah that's whacked!!! Quark would run rings around Tony the Kid
Wrestling is a bubble now, and it sucks in there. Escape while you can. The thing that you’ve loved your entire life is dead.
Meanwhile the two people getting the biggest reaction in WWE is LA Knight and Dom Mysterio. Neither one is wrestling 20 minute matches and neither one is going through furniture on free TV.
Punk is gone and the shows are empty ?….gee I wonder why😮(pretends to be shocked)
Even impact gets better attendance at this point
And even if they somehow get Edge…THEN what? The new car smell will be off by January or within weeks. They’ve put their backs against the wall because there’s nobody left thats gonna refill these arenas or give them the momentum they had 4yrs ago.
Edge will draw zero. He’s in his 50s.
