It’s been hilarious to hear him accused of gaslighting when all Dax has even said is that Punk misses wrestling, he wants to return because he’s passionate about wrestling and that Punk is willing to work things out and work with them. That’s it he’s never said one thing about the Elite not being willing to work with them or preventing Punks return. The people accusing him of gaslighting the company have all just inferred them saying that but the reality is people are believeing their unwillingness to work with Punk because the Elite have been silent about it and not expressed anything about wanting or actively working on working things out. If the Elite felt they were being thrown under the bus they could easily publicly state they’ll do business or they could explain why they won’t. But they won’t say anything and then get upset that people are inferring their mindsets which is entirely a result from them choosing to stay silent and expressing no indication of being willing to be professional.

I promise you, the best way to follow AEW is to just catch MJF stuff on TH-cam, and let Jim and Brian describe the rest of it to you. I've seen a single full episode of Dynamite (that I went to, live), and have been having as much fun following this way as I did watching Raw in the Attitude Era.
The Bucks, well before the Punk fight, pulled the whole getting the Elite back together thing out to get out of putting FTR over in the rubber match. This has been going on well before the Punk situation.
Remember they decide that instead of dropping the belts to FTR a real tag team they drop the belts to Keith Unlimited Boringness Lee and some other guy nobody cares about other than Top Dollar a tag team that only lasted a couple of months but remember when that happen Dave and Bryan keep their mouths shut the only reason we know this story is because someone else reported the story but Observer never did

Lesnar v Austin was planned to have Hulk Hogan return and accidentally cost Austin the match and then Austin would do the same to Hogan, with a plan to do Hogan v Austin at the next year's Wrestlemania (and it has been suggested that this is why Austin refused to go it, because he didn't want a match against Hogan).
Jarrett was held down by Austin because Austin wrestled for Jerry Jarrett early in his career and Jeff, being the owner's son, threw his weight around. So when Jarrett came on "Austin's" turf, he returned the favour, and Jim Ross, who was friends with Austin, badmouthed Jarrett to Vince.

Didn't the elite power play punk out of there behind his back. Ftr is their absolute best tag team period. Punk is their biggest draw. Their biggest gates were with punk in the card for their big pay per views
Punk vs Dax Harwood would be a great money match if Dax is buildup. From a storyline point, Punk turning on Dax would ultimately make Dax the biggest face in AEW and Punk the biggest heel. Its the whole "I was the only one to stand up for you while no one else did and you heartlessly stabbed me in the back!" writes itself.
At least Punk and Dax will work with each other.

If Meltzer ever got off his knees and stopped knob-polishing the Young Bucks and Omega maybe he'd be able to think straight. None of them have EVER been a big deal in this side of the world. Kudos to them for what they did in Japan but this ain't Japan, it's a completely different audience and with this audience, they aren't that over, not even Omega got that over during his "belt collector" phase a few years ago.
The fact is, they're executives that refuse to do business and because of it, it's greatly hindered what the product could've been. They're on a power trip and Dave is their cheerleader. Moxley is easily going to be a candidate of CTE especially if he falls off the wagon and stops staying sober again. The reason Tony Khan and Dave connect so well is because their love of professional wrestling is centered heavily around process. I've always said that AEW is the first major post-wrestling promotion. A meta promotion. It's always process over product. It's no coincidence that many of the AEW wrestlers come from that same mindset. It's process first, business second.
Because of their mutual love of process, Dave has felt very emboldened to stake his ground. It's his dream come true to connect with someone like Tony. He feels empowered and it's why he has become such a vocal player in this whole drama.
I'm in the minority as far as AEW's future is concerned -- this is a treadmill promotion that has enough energy to drag on for a few decades and ultimately influence a new generation of talent in the wrong way. TNA is AEW's forefather but had better wrestling and star power.

It's crazy to me that they just can't believe that there are people out there who find them bad, boring wrestlers. If you're going to partake in the arts at any sort of scale, you need to accept that no matter how good you think you are, there are people that think you suck. And that's OK.
