      Me too! I almost want to get rid of orchids and just buy air plants. They're so much easier to grow than orchids haha.

    Thank you for posting! For some reason 2 of my air plants, the ones with dark green leaves & black spots on the base, are drying out at the tips 😣 I soak them all at the same time & they get very Southern light. They are my favorite kind & I can't seem to make them happy 😢😟

      oof same thing happened to mine but they just died 😥

      @@elizabethzapanta2577 It may be sun burn/too much sun exposure. If they are well hydrated, the only other thing I can think of that can cause the tips to brown would be maybe needing fertilizer? Other than that, my guess would be tip burn from the sun exposure. Especially if you have them close to or in the window as the light can magnify the rays and heat up the plant etc.

      To the best of my somewhat limited knowledge, Southern light should be diffused, a thin curtain perhaps. I believe your dead tips might be sunburnt.

    How often do I water in them in the winter I also put them in my fish tank for nutrients

    • @carole-f8x
      @carole-f8x 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just received air plants for the first time and the instructions do not mention winter, they say to soak once a week in room temperature water, shake and let completely dry. They do not like chlorinated water or soft water from what I have read.
