I thought mine was dea, so I put her in my garden at the base of one of my other plants so it could decompose into nutrients, and I forgot about it. Went out today to look for some rogue corn growing in my yard and found my air plant alive and healthy on my front lawn 😅

😂 mine has pups I just noticed. It's been dark and yucky so I put it in my gecko enclosure but now it's probably going to be too wet in there. So I'll keep an eye on it. If it looks worse I'll take it out. Fortunately I look at the geckos every day so I can look at my plant too.

Omg, THANK YOU!!! I thought I was doing better this second time, I am for one and not the other, but now I know which type needs water. Legit thought I didn't have to water them at all!! I plan on setting a terrarium for the Air plants. Thankfully I will be able to save my plants and have my new ones thrive. I just dried one plant out and I am now walking the other, before I lose it it's pups. It's a plant that already flowered.

Fuzzy are plants that have a lot of trichomes are originally from deserts plus are plants that have a bulbous base must only be dunked and never soaked. Even the smoother green ones that I do so look for a half hour I shake all of them out upside and allow them to dry for 2 hours upside down. The very fuzzy silvery ones like some direct sunlight like from a southern window

These videos are great. I haven't killed one yet, fingers crossed. Do you ship to the US? How stressed would the plants get?

Hi, Dave, love the video. I have a question about Tillandsia Xerographica. I gave my plant a good soak I noticed my biggest one had a pinkish hue in the center is that normal? It wasn't there before did I overdo it with the soak😭. How many hours can they soak in the water should they be upside down?

I put mine in my fish tank or rainwater so going into the winter does their water have to be warm or can they handle colder water ? I always collect rain water for them.

My small air plant produced 2 flowers which wilted because I left the plant in water too long but the plant was saved but never produced Pups. What do you recommend? Thank you

just bought spanish moss, wanted to make a kind of curtain with it in my carnivorous grow tent, after doiing it, i realised the wind from the ventilator is right on it....i got scared that it would dry out as when i spray it, it dry in less than 30 seconds...my tent has average 80% humidity, is it ok for then to be constantly blown by the ventilator or should prevent the constant wind on them? and can i make them grow horizontally on a 2x4 wooden shelf?

Hi there! Thank you for the great vid! I do have a question! If my child tore out the inside couple leaves of my air plant, will it grow new leaves still? Thank you!

Dave do you change care differently over the seasons? I have airplants that have done great over the spring/summer and then just don't make it through the winter - I suspect cooler temps, dryness and less light might be issues. What do you do?
