A few weeks ago I was in the 5.11 Westheimer/Galleria store in Houston. I was looking for a bag/pack which could carry more stuff at lesser bag weight. The entry level LEO bag was what I was aiming at. During the conversation, I mentioned was a ham. Also, a lot of the 5.11 line has items hams could use, off the shelf. And I do know the line holds up under wear. He told me that I was the second ham in the store that day. He asked me if I knew anything about a club called BVARC? Brazos Valley ARC, based along the I69 US59 SW Freeway corridor. I mentioned they have a big ham meet in early March. Maybe 5.11 might have a table/door prizes. He told me 5.11 wants to reach out to other customers with current stock..... Once Labor Day is over, I will mention to BVARC. But Jason, maybe the 5.11 stores in the DFW may want to sponsor in some way ham radio e EMT's.

You can order from 5.11, and pick up at local store. Best of both worlds.
