XRs are great bikes . My second bike was a 1981 xr200R. same bike but with pro link suspension instead of the twin shocks. It was possibly my favorite bike of all time
Such a great looking bike. I love the classic Honda red with the gold wing on the tank. The whole bike just looks like it is all business for a light trail bike (especially bombing through the snow :-) and the black engine with the polished fin edges completes the look nicely 👍
You guys need to check the valve adjustment be fore you kick the kick gear out of it. It should crank on the first ,second or third kick if the valves are adjusted correctly.
Thanks, I didn’t get to buy the XL350 that I saw there unfortunately. The only video I got from the swap meet was just walking around the bike show area which I’ll be releasing as “short” videos on the channel.
@@Garage2Trail hi thanks for the reply anyway back in the early 80's a friend had an xl350 unfortunately broke kis engine but couldn't get the parts at that time also we live in a small island in the middle of the indian ocean so it was left at my place antil I had to get rid of it regrets now haha
Bringing an XR back from the dead...PRICELESS!!!
It is awesome to see that old bike run and the little fella interested in it.
Yup…he’ll be on a Z50 I’m sure in no time

Yeah that engine paint with the polished fin edges makes it pop. It’s a great little bike 👍
That’s awesome he has that after all these years. Thanks for bringing us along that was fun 👍🏻
There will be more this spring hopefully when he brings it back to our old trails to ride again for the first time since 1998.
I love the sound of a old honda thumper with a real SUPERTRAPP
From old 22 to brand new and Frank looks good too
Love the fresh white frame. Been considering one of those baja no pinch tools for a while!
That tool makes the hardest part of the job way less frustrating for me. I always manage to pinch tubes with the spoons lol
Kicking the sh+t out of a dirtbike is always a rollercoaster of emotions, nice work!
That it is, thank you!
Good job brother
Thank you!

We had the carb all out of wack with the slide and idle turned way down. Once we got that sorted it started right up.
and i found make sure it is air tight ehust from head to were it conects to rear ehust pipe
I had a xr200r but it had a mono shock. Still have the Hanes manual for it.
If you were 3 hrs from your house you were pretty close to me then in Charleston.
Oh wow, He lives near Hedgesville to give you a better idea.
@@Garage2Trail nope. He’s in the eastern panhandle. Im in the opposite corner.
@@Garage2Trail I’m at the south end of I 79. Straight down from Pittsburg.

Beta seems like its got lots of torque
Yessir, the Xtrainer is tuned for lugging and it does it well.
on full open choke it should run about 1800 rpms and i run mine at 1750
After we got the slide in correctly, it’s idling perfect 😆
