Starting up the 4jj1 Patrol for the first time!! We tune and wire the trans, button up the rest of the engine bay and get this thing ready for a drive! How good!

If you run a cable from the starter to your double post you'll save the long run to the battery. Just put an inline breaker in of suitable amps. Depending on how many devices you want to run off that circuit, you couls possibly run a 5 way Wago connector instead of the post, which would give you 4 devices up to 35A total.

Bit of a tip for the future, most cars, if the maf is playing up, unplugging it will make the ecu revert to the MAP sensor only. Usually runs perfectly fine. Great way to diagnose a maf issue 👍👍

Easy for me to say "been there, done that" but I don't take anything away from your effort or workmanship. You have done a fantastic, good quality job. Qudos to you for being smart enough to make a whiteboard list and follow it! One suggestion I will make in regards to the aux high current 12v feed. Consider having a feed relay that you can use to turn off in a hurry in case of a mishap and maybe an amp meter on your dash so you can keep an eye on aux consumption. Back in the day my HJ60 could only push out 55 amps or something like that so it was good to see what current draw was for aux power supply. Anyway all in all you have done a great job. I hope the patrol brings you a great deal of pleasure.

Every tool really is a hammer. Ask any sparky. Some don’t own hammers.
Do a hood dump exhaust and get them to fab up custom pipe work for the map sensors.

I would probably individually fuse those power cables to that stud because the smaller cables will melt before it pops the fuse
Looks good mate , I think something to strive for in the next video is doing , pulls in maybe an industrials estate some slow idling 4wd videos and obviously a dyno run , not a lot of videos involve motor being worked with proper sound so people can hear and see how it sound inside and out
Everyone wants to see the gear change speed motor running , and some noise , nothing worse then jumping on a video with zero feedback for people who are interested in this motor ,
I’m saying that the videos are great mate keep doing what your doing !

Still got the same issue as the ZD, only has 4 pots for 3L and sounds like small displacement 4-banger.
It’ll make more power than a td and a lot safer tho 😀💀
